This reminds me, i need to continue making my Ultra Magnus armor for Core Class Optimus.. Other than that, youve done some great work here! If i can, I'll probably buy the files when legacy g1 optimus comes out
I was literally just watching a Thew unboxing video where he asked for this to exist. This, specifically. Missing Link Ultra Magnus. ARE YOU SANTA CLAUS!?!?
What a coincidence, a few days ago I watched a Thew video where he asked Takara if we could get a Missing Link Ultra Magnus, and here you are with your own version, proving it's totally doable. Nice!
05:21 I had no idea that you could peg the headpiece in the Chest Piece like that.... Mind Blown... Just goes to show that you learn something new everyday 😊
Yes, and the original Diaclone release of what would become Powered Convoy had a launcher on the underside of the trailer base (where the rear wheels are) to set the trailer upside down as a base and launch the little tank/jet.
Heyy ik this might sound crazy but could you maybe make a Megatron like this for the legacy Optimus prime bc I’d love to 3D print it and then I can have a Megatron for my prime!!!
Hey! Thanks for watching. The thighs I think are were they were on the original Magnus. What changed was where the white belt sat. In order for it to be able to flip up while still having the waist able to rotate, it had to sit lower than where it did on the original. This ended up making the thighs appear shorter than they did. However, lengthening the legs would sort of mean lengthening the arms or shifting the arm details slightly. That’s not what I’d want for this look so ultimately this is how my Magnus looks, and I’m happy with it.
@@HightailCreations fair enough, he just kinda looks stocky. Maybe if you upsize the shins instead, resting on the hand guard parts of the cuffs, rather than the middle of them?
@@WhirlStudios Hasbro appropriated an existing Takara product. Powered Convoy in 1984 became Ultra Magnus in 1986, but and here's the complicated part. Hasbro only has the license to sell the product in the US and Europe. Takara/Tomy has full control over what sells in Japan. Hasbro owns the names of the IP and designs made at Marvel Comics but they dont own what Takara made prior to Hasbro nor can the American toymaker tell what Japan can and cannot sell or produce. Missing Link is all Takara. Hasbro has no involvement whatsoever.
At this rate, you don't need to wait for the Legacy Deluxe Optimus Prime. Just design a non-transforming cab and you have a movie/show accurate Ultra Magnus.

Man you should sell copies of your ultra magnus/core prime armor. I'd buy that in a heartbeat
@@joemcgonagle7177 it's still in the works, but I plan to post the files somewhere for free when it is done

We must get Thew to ask for world peace!
I'd be so overjoyed if Legacy Optimus Prime get's recolored into a black convoy. And with this he can be a *decepticon in disguise.*

Is a missing link powermaster optimus prime possible?

As a maker of custom toys and fan of Transformers, l must say this looks absolutely awesome 😃

G1 Magnus was one of my first transformers, and you've recreated it perfectly.
As someone who owns the g1 ultra Magnus I love this
The thighs are a bit too short, I feel. I'm looking at the original Magnus and it's got a bit more leg than this. Just a slight extension?

@samurexatlas7373 I’m happy with how he looks. Thanks for watching
@@samurexatlas7373 The new Legacy G1 Prime looks kinda stocky too so it will suit that mold perfectly.
That Cliff Jumper custom looks fantastic too, much better than the official Hasbro SS Cliff...l wish l had your skills.
An incorporation of Powered Roller from the original Diaclone toy would be amazing.
GO you have any suggestions or a tutorial for LEDs in prints?
Really really cool man! Where do I buy the files? Will this work with a g1 optimus cab?
You, my friend, are a genius. Excited to get to fiddle with this
screw you for making me believe this was real for a split second.
Wow, that is such a wonderful design. Is this something you would make and sell?
are the 3D printfiles OUT?!?
An Ultra Magnus that can fit the core robot but doesn't need it is actually pretty neat.
This is incredible.
Thank you! I’m glad you like him!
there’s a bee in the room
Hasbro you NEED to hire this guy like this is soooo good keep up the good work!

@@WhirlStudios United Optimus is different from Missing Link.

do you have stls available
Bro hasbro needs to hire you
Dude this is noice(nice).
Super nice work
Danggg thats impressive really. Honestly soundwave would be the easiest translation to a missing link.
TRUE! But I bet Soundwave is right at the top of Takara’s list
What 3d modeling software do you use? And I would love to see a tutorial for how you make these
I use Fusion360. I tried to record a video but because I’m modelling on a MacBook, it lags so much it’s unusable. So for now it’s only video showcases
that's hot!
wow aawesome
You designed and built this yourself??
Yes
This might fit the hasbro release a little better.
It is meant to fit the hasbro …

Excellent design! For your design process how do you decide on the types of joints/hinges?
Are you gonna sell the files or sell physicals if there is demand?
I saw the progress of this on insta
Missing link magnus is amazing!
Wow!
