@@tubester6772 Also, cases went through the roof a month after Israel started their aggressive vaccination program ... "fastest in the world". It was NOT looking good for the vaccine. That's why the WHO sent out a bulletin to lower PCR settings on Jan. 20.

A week after 1st Astra Zeneca - 3 days of headache, drenched in sweat, clumsiness, dizziness then huge surge of energy so went hyper BUT I don’t think I’m long covid any more - clear lungs, no wheeze, clear head and no flat out fatigue. I know not everyone will clear long covid but I hope it does help others.
I’m so glad to hear that. That can give hope to so many! My cousin just told me that his Mom, my Aunt, who’s in her healthy active 80’s got hers. And apparently he said she feels like a new woman after her jab. Apparently she was starting to feel a lot of stiffness in her joints which was starting to slow her down and now after her jab it ALL went away and she feels so energized! She can’t believe it and is so happy about it as she’s such an active person and it feels she got a new lease on life. I told him that she needs to document this for medical research on these vaccines for sure. Lol!
Doesn't make scientific sense to me. So your immune system cleared covid based on natural infection but left you with damage that resulted in long covid. Now somehow a vaccine using just part of the virus caused your immune system to react and repair that damage? Even if long covid was from never clearing covid from natural infection there is no reason to think that a vaccine immune response would clear it either.
@@prndownload my immune system did not clear covid Feb 2020 hence long covid. Research done by run-dmc suggests long covid is similar to MCAS. Plus blood group may play a part. I know I feel so much better after the jab and now realise how poorly I have been and don’t know what permanent damage has been done. I would suggest folk look at the research based on facts.
@@annieeatch9014 So you continued to test positive on PCR testing either oral or fecal the entire time? Honestly I don't think you know what you're talking about. I believe you have long covid as do I but I fail to see how a vaccine would make any difference.
Same happened to my mum. Covid in the summer, still wheezing and fatigued in January. Had her vaccine in February and she feels 20 years younger! No wheezing, no fatigue 😀
I developed antiphospholipid syndrome after a bacterial infection many years ago, ending up with deep vein thromboses in both legs.. I assume that is what the 22 vaccinated people with clots have developed.
I had Sepsis twice last year and ended up with pulmonary embolisms in both lungs. Thankfully I survived after many months of recuperating. No longer taking blood thinners and had the AZ vaccination four weeks & two days ago. No side effects whatsoever.

He never answers questions about vaccines in the UK. There is new research from Kings College Hospital, re the one dose rollout. Side effects spot on. Wife and I had our J & J Monday. She had all of the symptom listed except her's was a migrane. I didn't have the nausea. We are both fine now and would do it again.
I've been watching you since the beginning. You're honesty in your communication of data has been what kept me sane this past year. I received my first dose of Pfizer today. It felt like a mosquito bite.
@@edsimps123 From the data I have read it relates to once batch of Vaccine. If it was widespread problem then hundreds of thousands of people in the UK, maybe Millions would be affected. 23 Million have had their 1st dose of a Vaccine in the UK, the majority AZ. And over 1.3 Million have had both doses, I suspect most of those will have had Pfizer at the moment though that will likely change over the next month or so.

@@daverok1113 not so. The platelets attacking the viral spike proteins in the report you refer to would be in massively larger quantities and this is a hypothesis, not a recorded finding. The i.une response produced by the vaccine would not produce platelets because the patients are not overcome with infection. Their T and B cell responses are being stimulated. Politicians are (almost universally) more concerned with PR than actually helping anyone. The AstraZeneca vaccine could be said to have reduced numbers of embolisms in the population of the 3 million vaccinated from the expected 300 down to 22.
@@rijamor I think he's giving the claim that it 'causes' embolism some context, rather than actually claiming the reduction. The numbers are not statistically significant in either case, I think is the point.
Yeah I was looking at stats and thought you could argue it reduced statistical risk not increased it. Millions in U.K. have been vaccinated now many in older age groups we have a lot of real time data and I don’t see any statistical link... it’s not like contraceptive pill that women took for years that did increase ones statistical risk because it affected hormones etc. The real risk is long term Covid19 or if unlucky serious illness and hospitalisation...let’s not forget how serious this virus can be and how we can’t let it run rampant unchecked by a vaccine or booster in September for new variants. Hopefully if enough adults get vaccinated in the world we can snuff this nasty virus out and make it a rarity.....that eventually we can eradicate entirely in future years.
@@lisadefries6718 right now, with the way all the numbers are crashing and moving into summer, I see more risk from a new vaccine than from Covid. I'll happily wait for the phase 3 trials to finish then make a decision. I'm actually quite amazed at the Lemming-type way people have thrown themselves at a medical procedure they know almost nothing about. Weird.
@@lisadefries6718 The numbers are too small to make these kinds of conclusions. That was Johns point. There are also a lot of other factors which plug into it. @@Rising-g4q Caution is always wise especially with a medication administered to millions of people. I think Dr. Campbell's approach of looking at what would be expected in a non-vaccinated population makes sense. If (whatever is happening) exceeds what one would normally see then by all means pause to investigate. I don't know where you live but in the US we periodically see reports of "alarming" events following someone's vaccination. Often, on further review, the event isn't alarming at all....just something one would otherwise expect in a big population.
@@emc8244 I think the worry is that as this has received emergency approval then such occurrences would already have been well established prior to rollout . @@TerraPosse Moderna trials showed 21% with serious side effects. So your doing fine with the initial symptoms, but this is an investigational drug EUA approved not fully FDA approved, they bypassed the animal studies. In NIH studies adenovirus vectors have been used in cancer delivery models, in one study with 11 patients 2 of the 11 had the onco gene turned on, they developed cancer. I dont know long it took for that to occur or the date of that study its on NIH website. Hopefully they figured that piece out. The point is they bypassed the animal studies, we are the human trials. Lipids or lipoids are fats and fatty substances that play an important role in biochemistry. There is no generally accepted definition, but lipids are usually regarded as fatty substances that are insoluble in water but soluble in alcohol. W. I don't know how far alcohol can affect the mrna lipids it is stated to be soluble in alcohol. But the question is how much alcohol intake percentage could have the effect. If lipids are damaged who knows what it does with the crystallized medicine that is in the lipid, it will soon be exposed in the wrong way and the components are released in the blood. Probably has to do with the previously underlying complaints such as smoking, eating meat, the virus itself and other things that can lead to narrowing of blood vessels. What they could use is blood thinners but that will not help for a longer period of time if you have to live on them or adjust your lifestyle

These cases correlate to the same batch of the Astra Zenica vaccine ( Austria, Denmark ) and it is compounded by the fact the thrombosis/embolism ( both a rise in clotting and a lowering of platelets ) events occurred within days or on the same day across a reasonably wide age group is what raised the alarms Dr. Campbell.

@christine cheeseman The thing is if these people actually made attention to these advisers on TV they would hear the same things I hear. Were been told the oxford Astrazeneca isn't safe after all. As two nurses got severe blood clots after receiving the vaccine. What are your thoughts John??
Is the Thromboembolic event count adjusted for the age of the vaccine recipients? I mean, most EU countries don't administer Astra Zeneca to people over 65.
Good point. Risk goes up according to age, so if these events are in under 65's then this may be more significant. Dr J should compare data in that age group really.
The EU countries that had at one point said they would not give the AZ vaccine to over-65’s have since reversed course and started giving it to that age group as well. The European Medicines Agency (EMA) has clearly stated that the rate of blood clotting incidents is no higher than would normally occur in the general population and the vaccine remains safe to use. Also, in the UK there have been 11 million AZ doses given, nearly all to over-65's (as they were prioritised) and there's no evidence of higher rates of blood clotting.
And for the record I barely survived a pulmonary embolism after a serious DVT episode some months before. That was 11 years ago. So it IS a fact that thrombosis can strike with or without vaccine. Vaccine is recommended by me though.
Was informed last Monday that I'll get my jab at the end of April. I don't care which one it is I'm just plain excited to be getting it. From a Brit in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

I'm skeptical of everything they're saying, because the number of cases is higher than ever, they're even more severe and it has been like so since the vaccination begun. I understand that some cases in the beginning were because of people, for some unknown reason, thought they were protected although being told they need to be careful for 4 weeks, but now, after 2 months, makes no sense the number of cases risen tenfold, the severity too, all cases are severe, even people who were re-vaccinated.
@@jonr1122 This is happening now in my country Serbia, vaccination begun here 2 months ago, in December 2020, so what rubbish you're talking about? Hi from Estonia! I've been watching this channel from the start of the pandemic and I must say that it is so nice of Dr. Campbell to talk about all the science daily. In Estonia things are turning for the worst, many people are against all of the measures that government has put up. Also the government put up the restrictions too little and too late. Until yesterday all on the shopping malls were open, no one checked how many people are allowed in, mask wearing was not mandatory, all museums and what not were open and when the UK variant started to take hold in the country the government decided that after the school holiday all children can go back to school at once. At the time the situation with the virus was getting worse under our own noses but still the government didn't take any advice from the Scientific Council and used it's power to keep country open for political advantage. This all has resulted in average of 1465 infections per 100,000 people in the last 14 days, average of 19.3% of the tests positive in the last 14 days, hospitals at its capacity and infections are still going up. The goverment now has asked for help from the countries near by (Latvia, Finland) to send the people needing hospital abroad becasue of no room here. I fear that the situation is getting worse than Czech Republic. Right now Estonia is near the top of EUs infection rates per capita. This surge in Estonia is the result of all of the worst things combined including UK variant, as of 8th of March the UK variant is 20% of all the infections. To give a perspective how fast it spreads there was just under 7% of UK variant in the start on February and this spread is accelerating. Vaccinations are well on the way, right now there are 9.2% of the population vaccinated with at least one dose. Estonia uses the 2 dose strategy. Death rates are still not going down. I hope everone is doing good and staying safe in these complicated times! Looking forward for all of the future updates that Dr. Campbell is doing - Great work!!

To mention also that 30-50% of hospitalised Covid patients experience thromboembolic events. They are, indeed, what kill a lot of them. So if one is weighing up vaccine risk vs Covid risk, that needs to be considered.
@Denise Skinner Not sure what you are saying. AstraZeneca uses an adenovirus, Pfizer and Moderna don't. But you can definitely catch an animal virus without being injected with it.

Doesn't make scientific sense to me. So your immune system cleared covid based on natural infection but left you with damage that resulted in long covid. Now somehow a vaccine using just part of the virus caused your immune system to react and repair that damage? Millions in U.K. have been vaccinated now many in older age groups we have a lot of real time data and I don’t see any statistical link... it’s not like contraceptive pill that women took for years that did increase ones statistical risk because it affected hormones etc.
The real risk is long term Covid19 or if unlucky serious illness and hospitalisation...let’s not forget how serious this virus can be and how we can’t let it run rampant unchecked by a vaccine or booster in September for new variants.

@@TerraPosse Moderna trials showed 21% with serious side effects. So your doing fine with the initial symptoms, but this is an investigational drug EUA approved not fully FDA approved, they bypassed the animal studies. There is no herd immunity, and since no long term studies, they dont know how you will do with ADE, if you are more susceptible now to getting a more severe reaction to the virus in the wild. I think astra zenica includes an adeno virus vector so its delivered by an attenuated virus ( adenovirus). I dont think this is a good trade off especially when we wont even achieve herd immunity. Do some research!

My anecdotal evidence from work colleagues suggests that both pfeizer and Astra Zeneca jab both have symptoms in some beyond your average flu jab..headache being one and feverish type symptoms reported by 3 work colleagues . Some experienced no symptoms at all. All symptoms vanished 24 hrs or so after jab. Those who had symptoms said they got next day after jab. All look hale and hearty now and happy they have had their first dose and probably have some protection building. With any luck most of us will be vaccinated by time our place of work reopens to public on 12th April.
I have my jab booked for this Tuesday before my age cohort probably due to asthma. Hope I don’t get any symptoms and get good protection against serious infection.

Campbell.

Second day after Moderna jab. Some nausea, slightly sore arm, some myalgia, fatigue. That's all, folks.
@@dwsoccer6859 That's 1-2 weeks ago, at most, so it was given mostly to under 65's...
And for the record I barely survived a pulmonary embolism after a serious DVT episode some months before. That was 11 years ago. So it IS a fact that thrombosis can strike with or without vaccine. Vaccine is recommended by me though.
