When opening the plastic latches, get a flat head screw driver and lift the plastic piece where the clip is, so they just slide out and you don’t break them
Try to put the plastic together with cotton and crazy glue or nail glue and cotton .... try this mix outside the part so you can figure it out how many cotton and glue you can use. To make it firm without making a Mess. But is a really resistant mix when glue dry it make it really dificult to broken.
That sounds like a good way to possibly save $100 by not having to buy a new headrest! Thanks for the tip I’ll definitely try that once I don’t need the car seat there anymore.

I can’t remember maybe it was like a 10mm
Don’t tighten the screws much, or mechanism doesn’t work.
