"Jack of all trades" is selling yourself short, your windows and cabinets are excellent and you did a spectacular job on them, amongst all your other talents.
Congratulations on the birth of Cade - your greatest project 😉 #skillsets
I don’t know if somebody has already mentioned it here, but the full quote is “Jack of all trades, master of none…is better than a master of one.”
Kinsley is just a delight to watch , she looks so at peace snuggled up in your arms . So beautiful
Last year I put in a stone slabs patio in my backyard by myself. I am over 60 years old and I had to do it all by hand. I had to level the ground first. Then I added screening and limestone. I used a hand held tamper and tamped that level. Then I laid the stone slabs and filled in around the stone slabs with pea gravel. It was back breaking work. But so satisfying when I was finished.
Hey, thank you so much for this! I graduated from carpentry school last December. I've done a few small projects but hesitated to tackle bigger ones like my bathrooms, the deck, or the kitchen. Trying new tools and projects with the help of my teachers and classmates in school was easier. I was less afraid of making mistakes. Dealing with the math and calculations in carpentry was a lot. I had to relearn high school math. I'm in my 50’s. I just needed a little push to start. Thanks a lot! 😊
I consider you a builder, carpenter, and designer. You’re amazing! ❤
The advantage of brick or a solid floor in your garden is that clean up is easier, you can't take a power washer to gravel to remove autumn goop and moss
Jack of all trades myself, it's all about the willingness to try and the belief that "if they can do it I can do it". Confidence and being ok with making mistakes!
My first sentence was “do it myself!” Love this! Thanks for sharing!
You are incredible Macenna! I always enjoy your content ❤️
Just wanted to let you know that weighted sleep sacks aren’t recommended as safe by a lot of medical professionals, and I would be very cautious advertising or using them. I see a lot of RUclipsrs advertising them so I’m not sure if it’s just not well known yet or what.
So happy for you and Romeo welcoming sweet baby Cade! He couldn’t have picked a more loving, amazing family if he tried ❤️
lol Kinsley is like “how come I can’t fit in your lap now?” Love this podcast, thanks. I’m a capable 60+, I want to buy a miter saw, I’ve looked everywhere for local in person classes, no classes specifically for learning tools locally, Home Depot stopped classes here since covid. I reached out on social media to see if other women want to learn too, amazed how many were interested. Someone offered to teach but sadly for her, she’s been sick and we haven’t started. I wish every city had such classes for women (and men). Some are widows who have a garage full of unknown power tools they want to learn (or other tools) they don’t know how to use, some like me want to learn for a specific project, and the list goes on. When I paid a plumber to fix one of my bathroom sinks, he just replaced one easy thing, charged me 150.00 for 5-7 min job, I thought “I can do that!”
I'm with you!! I would love like a wood working class to learn how to build some basic furniture. I believe a lot of community colleges offer those kind of classes, I'm in Northern California
@@danigirllovemooreI grew up in Saratoga :) and yes our jr college has wood working classes like “learn to build a box” lol but no classes specific to how to set up and use and care for a power tool. I want to do box molding (or whatever it’s called) on my walls.
I admire people so much who can build or work on houses.😮😮
A jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one
“Jack of all trades” was first said in reference to Shakespeare back in the 1500s. Own it!
Something to think about when putting in pea gravel, be sure to solidly press it down so it's a firm walkway for Cade. Also, so he can't be able to grab a handful for the mouth.
Your positivity is inspiring. You are a joy to watch. Congratulations of the birth of your beautiful baby boy.
You had a beautiful influence from your parents example. I feel like it gave you permission to realis that you can accomplish anything that your creative endeavors lead you to reach toward. Love your journey toward, and your drive to do better at any task you sought to accomplish!! Much respect that you tackle anything at least once, and realize your limitations. Having said that, still so impressed at every thing you tackle and have flourished at. You are so amazing at the things I have seen you do throughout your videos. ❤
Paint the tile like Drew did for the weekender show!
Oh man you inspire me so much that it hurts in a good way. Thank you for all of your advice on how you tackle your projects and where to start.
I truly love these podcasts. They so informative and so calming to watch. You give so much valuable information. Love!!!!!! 💕
Such an inspiration ❤
Check out How to renovate a château!
They made their own tile back splash and she hand painted each and everyone and it shows the process of how they were made and cured!
or Atelier Mavi
MACENNA...as a woman who uses power tools all the time, the jackhammer is the easiest and most fun tool to use.
The full phrase is “Jack of all trades, master of none, though oftentimes better than master of one”! I’ve been called a Jack of all trades too, and I am sure all of us have that watch you and are a part of this community which is why you are so encouraging!! ❤ your fanbase/community name could be the Jacks 😂
Wonderful 💗
Design your own tiles, there are companies that offer that service. Then you could have what you want, done right, just like your kitchen

Your specific faves~ tool/brand recommendations, RUclips channels and blogs for tutorials/DIY education. ❤
Don't use pea gravel as the cats in the neighbour good will use it as a giant litter tray but get slightly larger 10mm or 20mms they don't like it but it will still be lovely. My house.is a rusty red brick like your brick I've built 2 large circles of grass and edged them with the bricks and then gravel surrounding areas xx
Hi Macenna, are you planning also to speak on business matters? I remember, that you asked us if we were interested. I would love to get insights from you.
When your left camera shows your beautiful picture frame decor in the back it is marvelous! But for some reason maybe it’s the way it’s angled, the far left bottom and top two look crooked. Might just be me. Starting your podcast over just because I wasted my time to write this 😅
If you're referring to the gallery wall, I noticed some of them looked askew.
I want to revive a table and have been going down a rabbit hole ,I think I need to find just one and follow it plus a lot of recommended products are USA based which I could get on that online store , but I do like to support more local manufacturers. I have to take theplunge
I have seen on TikTok that building workers use flames/heat to remove tiles from walls, instead of breaking them. That way the tiles fall whole and can be reused on other projects. :) Not sure about the brick process though.
Good morning question on your candle. have you ever considered doing a wick list candle reason why I’m asking is because I use a candle warmer light and I would love to have one for my light, but it’s just a waste of a wick to me. I don’t like to be wasteful. So I was just wondering, have you ever considered doing candles without the wick.
🎉🎉🎉
❤❤❤
It won't be long before Cade is doing his own diy 😂
"A jack of all trades is a master of none....but oftentimes better than a master of none" 😘
This is also how I describe myself lol
❤
In the channel how to renovate a chateau they made their own tile in collaboration with an artist. You may want to do that, instead of just doing fully yourself, have someone make the base, paint them how you would like and then have them do the finish so that it is properly made. That way you learn, get an amazing result and it may be a bit cheaper.
I'm wondering if the photo she liked was AI. but glazing unglazed tiles herself could be a good way to get exact,y what she wants
@@erinnlinn6036 yes she needs some sticky tack HA!
Very like
Hi moma! 😘
You could find a company that makes titles but you create the design.
Do you pronounce your name Makenna with a hard ‘c’ or Macenna with a soft ‘c’? Either way I like your blogs. 💕🇨🇦💕
Your tile idea reminds me of this video where Anna did her own tiles with a pro: ruclips.net/video/40YMoV2dCNk/видео.htmlsi=AxmyOEeFMuDFl2HZ
Congratulations on your latest and best yet project - the birth of your very own baby boy Cade. So happy for you and Romeo.
McCenna you might be interested in watching this video on making your own tiles ……. ruclips.net/video/40YMoV2dCNk/видео.htmlsi=c6hZj-xwr8qpvF2L
Hey gal, Dreamland weighed sleep sacks do not meet guidelines for safe sleep. Please don't use them or advertise them going forward
Pregnant again? Didn't you just have one the other day? LOL
ChatGPT might also be new friend 🧐
