"Jack of all trades" is selling yourself short, your windows and cabinets are excellent and you did a spectacular job on them, amongst all your other talents.

Last year I put in a stone slabs patio in my backyard by myself. I am over 60 years old and I had to do it all by hand. I had to level the ground first. Then I added screening and limestone. I used a hand held tamper and tamped that level. Then I laid the stone slabs and filled in around the stone slabs with pea gravel. It was back breaking work. But so satisfying when I was finished.

Hey, thank you so much for this! I graduated from carpentry school last December. I've done a few small projects but hesitated to tackle bigger ones like my bathrooms, the deck, or the kitchen. Trying new tools and projects with the help of my teachers and classmates in school was easier. I was less afraid of making mistakes. Dealing with the math and calculations in carpentry was a lot. I had to relearn high school math. I'm in my 50’s. I just needed a little push to start. Thanks a lot! 😊

The advantage of brick or a solid floor in your garden is that clean up is easier, you can't take a power washer to gravel to remove autumn goop and moss

You are incredible Macenna! I always enjoy your content ❤️
Just wanted to let you know that weighted sleep sacks aren’t recommended as safe by a lot of medical professionals, and I would be very cautious advertising or using them. I see a lot of RUclipsrs advertising them so I’m not sure if it’s just not well known yet or what.
So happy for you and Romeo welcoming sweet baby Cade! He couldn’t have picked a more loving, amazing family if he tried ❤️

lol Kinsley is like “how come I can’t fit in your lap now?” Love this podcast, thanks. I’m a capable 60+, I want to buy a miter saw, I’ve looked everywhere for local in person classes, no classes specifically for learning tools locally, Home Depot stopped classes here since covid. I reached out on social media to see if other women want to learn too, amazed how many were interested. Someone offered to teach but sadly for her, she’s been sick and we haven’t started. I wish every city had such classes for women (and men). Some are widows who have a garage full of unknown power tools they want to learn (or other tools) they don’t know how to use, some like me want to learn for a specific project, and the list goes on. When I paid a plumber to fix one of my bathroom sinks, he just replaced one easy thing, charged me 150.00 for 5-7 min job, I thought “I can do that!”

@@danigirllovemooreI grew up in Saratoga :) and yes our jr college has wood working classes like “learn to build a box” lol but no classes specific to how to set up and use and care for a power tool. I want to do box molding (or whatever it’s called) on my walls.

Something to think about when putting in pea gravel, be sure to solidly press it down so it's a firm walkway for Cade. Also, so he can't be able to grab a handful for the mouth.

Love your journey toward, and your drive to do better at any task you sought to accomplish!! Much respect that you tackle anything at least once, and realize your limitations. Don't use pea gravel as the cats in the neighbour good will use it as a giant litter tray but get slightly larger 10mm or 20mms they don't like it but it will still be lovely. My house.is a rusty red brick like your brick I've built 2 large circles of grass and edged them with the bricks and then gravel surrounding areas xx

I have seen on TikTok that building workers use flames/heat to remove tiles from walls, instead of breaking them. That way the tiles fall whole and can be reused on other projects. :) Not sure about the brick process though.

Good morning question on your candle. have you ever considered doing a wick list candle reason why I’m asking is because I use a candle warmer light and I would love to have one for my light, but it’s just a waste of a wick to me. I don’t like to be wasteful. So I was just wondering, have you ever considered doing candles without the wick.

In the channel how to renovate a chateau they made their own tile in collaboration with an artist. You may want to do that, instead of just doing fully yourself, have someone make the base, paint them how you would like and then have them do the finish so that it is properly made. That way you learn, get an amazing result and it may be a bit cheaper.
