A powerful song once you try to understand the lyrics and the melody, best I can describe for all the so-called 'protagonists' of the many Gundam series, each one of them alone inside their mind trying to understand the past and thinking about the possible outcome of their grand action, seen as heroes for fighting what they believed from the outside but silently raging in the inside from all the countless life they've taken forcefully. The burden only gets worse by the time they know their action leads to another cycle of meaningless conflicts. Except for Char, because Char's is always about to do something extremely wicked. Anyway sorry for the random English comment, this is pretty much the only video I can find to describe the entirety of UC conflicts beautifully.
I don't know man, I mean, Char was right all along, he wanted to end all conflicts in one fell swoop and the protagonists go "even so." To the point even Char's spirit asked "are you sure to let them go just like that?" To which Lalah replied - "You already told them what's in your mind, just let them be" Even Full Frontal told Banagher that no matter what happens, even if everlasting peace were to occur, Humanity will still end in complete darkness, or nothing-ness if that word exists. And when Princess Minerva revealed to the world that Newtypes exist, tadaaa, nothing happened. And even with all the things those protaginists did, the Earth will soon just kill itself anyway, causing more deaths and destruction, leading to the imminent destruction of the Federation all together. Even without Zeon, the Federation is destined to rot in the end. I was a bit disappointed because G Saviour wasn't featured in the end, I mean, G Saviour connects to the RC to some extent. I get it, the movie stinks, but if I got to be honest, it's an important part of the Universal Century. How it tells us that the Federation is in the brink of destruction, and how famine is slowly affecting people, which probably lead to the classification of the "inferior humans" known as the "Kuntalas" that serves as human meat, literally (If you've watched Reconguista anyway). My point is, in the end, whatever you do, even if Zeon is gone, the Federation will die, and humans will be killing, and eventually eating each other to the point UC weapons were banned in the RC only to be once again used and recovered, hence more war. Char was just trying to speed up the process to prevent more deaths in the Future. (By killing a lot in one fell swoop) still, he does have a twisted form of logic.
......in my time with gundam.......I can...unfortunately say with certainty the UC timeline is one of, if not THE saddest outcome in the gundam universe........thousand put to rest by children in mobile suits.........only for another to replace it...........I both hate gundam......and love it...
