    For full flavor, you should have added the onion and lettuce and lime, also accompanied by radish and eaten it alternating bites with a tostada. That's how usually Pozole is eaten.

      Lettuce would wilt in the hot soup. It is traditionally served with cabbage. It stays firm longer.

    The waiter should have explained to Volpe how to prepare his pozole. That's what the first plate with the cabbage, onion, radishes, lime and tostadas are for.

      Im mexican but menudo is horrible imo. For outsiders i wouldn’t recommend but i would heavily recommend pozole tho. I mean if you like tripe soup then by all means eat menudo but thats just not for me.

    I love posole!! I make it once a year on Christmas or New Years. In honor of my mom, I make it like she use to. Everyone loves it.
    Menudo is good too, but I prefer pozole.
    I feel bad for Sophie. Being a vegetarian in Mexico sucks. She is missing out on some the best foods in the world.

    I'm from the Los Altos region of Jalisco about 80 miles northeast of Guadalajara on hwy 80D/80 and we also use oregano in our red pozole just like the one you're eating. The lime amplifies the flavors and the oregano goes well with the bay leaves in the pozole. The chile......olvidate hermano, es la mezcla de todo!

    Hi Carlos - Thanks for dishing out yet another unique culinary experience for your fans ! The Pozole looked quite meaty & sumptuous!! I bet you can handle more spice / heat than an average Indian . Sophie stuck to her Veg Tostada while you improvised yours to suit your palate - You would be a great innovative chef !     La lechuga, los rábanos en rodajas y el limón se le pone al pozole, y se mezcla, le da un sabor diferente. Antiguamente, los aztecas comían el pozole con carne humana, por lo regular eran de esclavos o prisioneros de guerra. Actualmente en México se emplea el puerco o el pollo para el pozole, ya no de carne humana.

    To all those tourists who are planning to visit Mexico, please translate the following... 🧐👉Que pedo con este restaurant??? 😳Por que no le dicen a Volpe como se degusta el Pozole???? 😡Querido volpe: El pozole cuando te lo sirven debes de complementarlo con una pizca de orégano, una cucharada de cebolla, medio limón,lechuga,rábano al gusto y de salsa roja siempre echarle poco a poco para que no te quede muy picoso y no se pierdan los sabores a causa de tanto picante. Para cerrar con broche de oro tomas una tostada le pones crema y queso fresco rallado, a continuación le das una mordida ala tostada y enseguida una cucharada de Pozole y sentirás una explosión de sabores en tu boca 😋 estos pu..tos del restaurant no te dijeron y me dió coraje como te comiste todo al revés 😡 saludos a todos los que se detuvieron a leer mi recomendación y una disculpa Volpe por esos weyes del restaurant...😁

    Man the server should have told you how to prepare the pozole, it taste so different once you add more lime, lettuce or cabbage, onion, raddish, salsa, a bit of salt and a touch of pepper and alternate it with tostadas with cream and cheese, believe me that's heaven and it's the most traditional way of having a pozole

      Its not. But we do have native ingredients that are integrated heavily in our culture’s cuisine which are Chile peppers, corn, lime, avocados, cocoa, vanilla, cactus, green and red tomatoes, cilantro, and i can keep going but those are pretty essential and prominent.
