The green Escort was registered on August 1st when all the new reg letters came out every year. It was a very exciting time for the motor industry and also for kids who wanted to be the first to spot a new registration. Some customers would collect their cars and drive them away at 12.01 at night. In 1980 I bought a yellow Fiesta DVJ231W from Ravenhills in Hereford. They delivered it to me on trade plates before August 1st so I could have a W reg instead of a V! I always hope it might one day turn up in one of these videos 😊
I'm sorry to say your yellow fiesta was last registered to a new owner in 1997 and hasnt been taxed since 1998 unfortunately but might be stashed away somewere hope it turns up somewhere for you
@@MrGti6 Thanks for reply, I have it saved in my Vehicle Smart app in the hope it might say one day its back on the road. I eventually traded it in for a Cortina at a Gloucester dealer.
Simpler times. Old enough to remember brand new T plates. Of course corrosion and salt was the killer then. Although I had a used A reg MkII Fiesta. Early '84 model that got utterly destroyed by a stolen Audi. Wasn't in it at the time thankfully. Still miss that little car 🚗
Red van was mk1 or 2 escort - surprised you didn’t get that you’re normally excited for the fords Bedford van to the side of the green mk2 reminds me of Arkwrights Mobile Catering Van. “Wer wer wer warra weapon, in unscrupulous hands”!!!! 😂
I think each vehicle should be assessed separately to decide whether there is enough left of the original to still be the same vehicle. Heavily restored vehicles should be classed as kit cars or project vehicles. I totally agree that some body should not be allowed to put the Vin plate and No plate on another shell and call it original.
You've become the Daddy bro with your latest offerings. These videos are bang on point , the most recent ones are another level. Your good on camera and likeable. Content is always on point too. Keep these bangera coming dude
Great part 2 video 🤩 Love the tone of the filming and the care you always afford to the cars. The mini van was my fav of this video. So sad nature is taking over but gives some dramatic photos. Well done 👍👍
My dad had one of those mini vans. I remember it well. We used to sit on cushions in the back and me and my sister would be in fits of laughter when we went around a corner. Thanks for the memories stu.
Liking the new approach to your videos Stokze, with calming music and slower talking around the car finds - it's easier to watch. I have criticised a past video on your channel, but here is some praise because credit is due. Keep up the good work!
Not 100% sure the mini van was Almond green however in the early 1960 few cars had radios fitted as standard and Radiomobile { Smith's industries ) operated a mobile car radio fitting service called the " green van service " and many car radio dealers used mini vans for this purpose as ever nice one Stokze
What time is it...? Its Stokze time!! Im amazed how the bulkhead looks and the front shock towers, that mini van is in crazy condition considering. Shes dead though, such a shame. The stories that these cars could tell. I used to have a mini many years ago, like a go kart on rails, could just plant your foot to the floor and leave it there lol It was a proper Mr Bean mini, different colour wings. I went to put a bag in the boot and it went straight through lol It also had a few ankle vents in the front. I had a white polo breadvan years ago, made a good motor, cheap on fuel just not roomy. Love this one, a nice variety of motors. I commented on yesterdays but it got deleted, no clue why. The ambulance, looks like a Bedford, its the Woody edition 😂 Love the old Escort, reminds me of my old one I had, although she had been modded a little bit. Lowered, stupidly loud exhaust, sounded like an airplane going up hills and loud popping going down them, it was a 'pull me over' car. The Audi is a weird one being so much newer than the rest of the motors there, I imagine it has a story or 2 to tell. Keep them coming Bro! Great upload Bro. Audi, not registered as stolen, last on road 2013, Mot expired March 2013. Cavalier was same colour as mine I had that was from the IOM. Great explore Bro, quite a hoarders paradise there. DLY!
Evening Stu Fantastic PT 2 to the other video - Shame To See all the cars rotting away Iike that -that Mini wad shot - surprised ya didn't video the red escort van - Lookin Forward To next weekends Finds
My dad had the fiat 131 twin cam two door years ago .. he couldn't drive it the gearbox seized on it .he couldn't find a gearbox for it even back in 1987 they were in rare in Scotland .it got scrapped was a stunning looking car.the interior was stunning as well
Loved Fiat 131 Mirafioris, nice cars and that Fiat twin cam engine, one of the best engines ever made, they would shift for the time just a shame about the rust problems, hence why they are so rare today, the mk2 Escort has an early grille, later ones from about 1977 had the Ford oval badge in the centre instead of the Ford script
Hay stokze! 57 thousand on that mini! I used to live across the road from a guy who was a mechanic most of his life. I remember him telling me the motors from years ago would only do about 90 thousand if you looked after them!😢
Well what I don’t believe is the old Audio and the Vauxhall Cavalier is it? 😮Man they’re just rotting away by the elements and the Fiat, VW as well….. Another great exploration Find Stokze 👏👏👍👍😎
A philosophical Stokze had me questioning everything over a boiled egg this morning. 🤔 When does, a car stop being itself? “It’s had 17 new heads and 14 new handles in it’s time!” 🤣
Part 2 .... Like I said in part 1 this is now my 2nd vid choice keep up the good work mate we're all behind ya .... Would love to join ya on these finds, brilliant work bud😊
Excellent little find Stu, the mini vans, even on a pallet for sale in auction are still approaching silly money. The escort doesn’t look too far gone, but clearly it could be rotten as a pear underneath.. but again still someone, somewhere would buy it!
It's not a mini clubman van as they never made a clubman van and the clubman had a slanted front which is what distinguishes it from a regular mini. The front grill on the green ford escort is a highly sought after piece too.
great respect pal unlike beardy bun questionable car club and we wonder why the secret places are getting to many visitors. privacy is your middle name i watch and see things anyway proud of you stu
the green mini is an early one as it had sliding windows on the door thats a dam shame but it would cost more to rebuild than its worth there not doing strong money so i guess your right saying some should be left for nature to reclaim
Fiat 131 oh my god Stu a late model series 3 this a 2 litre twin cam SuperMirafiori 1982 83 my Dad owned all 3 variant 131 saloons from 1979 to 1987 great family cars rust buckets though Stu keeps these vids coming
I was sad to see the old Mini van sitting there in such a sorry state. I owned one of these years ago. These wee vans are becoming rare now and fetch good prices in good condition. That one is sadly beyond saving now, most likely.
Recently visited an old breakers yard near me. That had a lot of 70s and 80s cars lying in the woods.. apparently seepa told him to clear some of the cars out and a lot were broken into bits trying to remove them...i have a few photos of a triumph dolomite.. fiat 128 and a mk2 escort... there was supposed to be another mk2 there but i couldn't find it
Some dead humans donate parts and it helps others live. Nothing else should be exempt from this including vehicles and even that mini van received a donated rear door. Re-using keeps the past alive.
So going back to that mini, you think it shouldn’t be saved? Now, if that was a Volkswagen, you’d be all over that saying oh, it should be saved blah blah blah blah blah It doesn’t matter what the car is old Retro/classics/historic should be saved.

I often think this with some of the cars Stu finds , that once someone drove it out the showroom brand new and was there pride and joy
I'm sorry to say your yellow fiesta was last registered to a new owner in 1997 and hasnt been taxed since 1998 unfortunately but might be stashed away somewere hope it turns up somewhere for you

Hi Stu, Another sad video but in a good way as it nice to see an old Mini van and Mk2 Escort 😎
Thankyou for sharing
🤜🤛
Red van was mk1 or 2 escort - surprised you didn’t get that you’re normally excited for the fords
Bedford van to the side of the green mk2 reminds me of Arkwrights Mobile Catering Van.
“Wer wer wer warra weapon, in unscrupulous hands”!!!! 😂
Wasn’t the chevette van called the chevanne?
I'd rather see a car slowly returning to nature than banger raced - at least with the former there's a chance it can live again
I had a 131 back in the day, rapid cars for their time.
Looks like a MK1 mini van well worth saving given the potential resale value.

Two good videos this weekend matey keep em coming 😊
Absaloutly brilliant video stokzey ❤👍what a shame for those cars brilliant
I would had talked about the Austin A30 it looks as it had once been customised!

Awesome awesome
Great find. Suprised the red Escort van didn't get much of a mention.
All parked up along time ago when they weren't worth anything!
Cool video mate i went there a while back there used to be 2 rs 4x4s the other side of that barn close to the house 👍
My dad had 132' twin round hedelamps,
That blue 2cv...😢
Definitely a Fiat 131 my dad had a fiat 132 and Definitely had twin headlights great find Stu 👏

Always wanted a mini van. They were rare and expensive back in the mid nineties, like hens teeth now😔👌🏻😍😍
A philosophical Stokze had me questioning everything over a boiled egg this morning. 🤔
When does, a car stop being itself? “It’s had 17 new heads and 14 new handles in it’s time!” 🤣
What an amazing place. They don’t look too bad , considering where they are. Someone should save the Mini van

You missed the red mk1/2 escort van! I think it was a mk2 though! They both have the same rear end.
Yes bro!
I was sad to see the old Mini van sitting there in such a sorry state. I owned one of these years ago. These wee vans are becoming rare now and fetch good prices in good condition. That one is sadly beyond saving now, most likely.

What was the reg of the dolomite?
10:28 Anyone who is recognizing the cover of the cassette tape? It looks familiar to me.
Yep fact is most 60s and 70s cars were crushed or banger raced which was sad as some gems were totally abused like Daimler and xjs etc.😢
Save the mk2... that's well worth doing
Mind his that like for the graft he does ,
Mini probably is 57k don't think they would do 157k tbh
I agree let nature have her, she'll be home to wild life now ,that car cant be restored only as u said turned into a new old registered car
The 131 Its from 1982 on from the bumper. I can tell u all about these
🏴👍
mini clubman van?
Some dead humans donate parts and it helps others live. Nothing else should be exempt from this including vehicles and even that mini van received a donated rear door. Re-using keeps the past alive.
The mini van is not a mini clubman.
Your missed the red sierra 2.3
1st again
Omg really
shes a bit rotton now could be saved
Fiesta mk2 2 door not a 4 door
So going back to that mini, you think it shouldn’t be saved?
Now, if that was a Volkswagen, you’d be all over that saying oh, it should be saved blah blah blah blah blah

Mini van probly still worth 4k
What a waste
