- This family storefront renovation was special and different for us in many ways. Sisters Aileen and June were born and raised in their family home since the 70’s, and as an immigrant family their home meant so much to them. The sisters shared amazing family stories with us and revealed that the building used to serve as a store front ranging from a laundromat to a doughnut shop. Since taking over the building, they realized the space was in desperate need of a renovation: walls and floors caving in, ceilings crumbling down, and broken windows letting in cold air-we fixed it all and unfolded many layers of the family history inside this special home. We are so happy the sisters have a new home that will last for generations to come!

i like how you made the black staircase look like it was original to the building, even though it was added in renovation. Mixing old and new, I'm getting lots of inspiration from your channel!

Personally I don’t see the need for two washer and dryers or all that open shelving above but they must have a need for it. Bathroom tile is pretty but I wouldn’t of repeated it in a second bathroom. Love your renovations and looking forward to seeing it finished and furnished.

I could just move right in, I wouldn’t change a single thing. Love the black windows with the warmth of the wood casing, the white oak floors are stunning, the soft green tile is so restful. The black staircase might be a dust magnet but it has such great impact. Great family story, the shrine burial is such a sweet heartwarming gesture. Congrats guys, you do such good projects, love love your style. Keep the content coming, I’d love to see an update video when the kitchen island comes in. 🇨🇦
