Unfortunately, I'm not aware of any new 55+ communities on the horizon. Hopefully, I'm just out of the loop, because it's a very underserved demographic here in the Huntsville area. There are quite a few Active Adult apartment complexes, but very few single family home neighborhoods that are 55+. If you're looking for a single family home, townhome, or condo in a 55+ community then I might suggest looking for a gated community with an HOA that covers exterior maintenance.
