Well Tim, again you've given me several good ideas that I'm going to use. That is a nice barlow, and it turned out well. I've successfully replaced swinden rivets on 2 scout knives, but it was a learning process. I like the feeler gauge idea; I'm going to try that next time. By the way, I've found a very good way to straighten or tweak a blade that doesn't involve hitting with a hammer. I've used the method many times, and I haven't broken or cracked a blade yet. I'd like to share it with you and other knife mechanics, but it doesn't translate very well by description. Really need to show by pictures or video.
Awesome work. Gave me an idea for one of my Old Timer knives that has either a worn blade or spring at the pivot area. Thanks for the training! Take care.
Great job! I peen my pins slightly before I use the rivet spinner to get the dome shape started and that makes it much easier. The rivet spinner really just smooths the heads instead of having to form the whole head.
That’s a great idea of peening the kick, I took one down a little bit to far on a slimline trapper, that will fix it I believe. I used a drop of solder and filed it down before but it only held for awhile and came off . Thanks for the idea, I’m sure it’ll work for what I need. Thank you for the videos!
Great job on that Barlow. I really like those Schrades with the fancy bolsters. Thank you for sharing and God bless! 🙏

That knife would have been beautiful with the pen blade deleted. You do fine work brother.
You might look at a chain saw chain rivet spinner for making this type of fastener.
@@kknows3512 Thank you, I had not heard of those. I will look into it now!
A small nail with the same size head as the Swindon pin could work.
@@wizardofahhhs759 I would have to make a head on the other end of it too, but that might work!
I was thinking the same 😊
Well done 👏 be safe and GOD BLESS AMERICA 🇺🇸 🙏
