    Time for metcalf to get a legit strength coach to teach him how to lift. I get that it's mental for him, but those jerking motions are doing damage and all the weight is on the back. Imagine metcalf's condition with some real strength!

      I disagree, I think jerking motions are great for wrestling, they are not going for hypertrophy, they are going for muscle memory or neural pathways so full body exercises and motions are ideal. When you wrestle you don't do a concentrated curl or extension or anything, it is all a full body motion as he does in his lifts; Metcalf in my opinion is one of THE strongest people at his weight class, I instead believe is freestyle technique needs to be improved.

      I agree. The Hawkeyes always produce strong wrestlers, very strong. Their strength program is top tier
