This photo is of Mary Todd Lincoln. Apparently, the hands are Ghost hands of Abraham Lincoln. Her husband. 1870. Spirit photography. I'm not certain if it's authentically a Spirit image of him for real. They did seem to present a lot of these kind of photos after visiting mediums. I don't know how they'd fake this but I'm sure they didn't have photoshop...lol. Hope this helps with the mystery of her and the hands. I know there's a more detailed story online of her. You'd google old vintage ghost hands. That's how I found her. I've seen her image before many times in different stories of back then.
@TwoOldCrowsMixedMedia You're very welcome. Glad I could help somehow. And I really like the tin you created with her. Your creation really compliments that Era and her image. 😊
I love it and - wow - two projects for the collab is going the extra mile! 💗
I have to do another to meet the time limit🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
The photo is so intriguing….great start. Love the box and all your ideas.
I found the origin of the photo…I posted the original in the Facebook group. It’s Mary Todd Lincoln with the ghost of her husband.
Wonderful video-thank you❤
Appreciate it!! Thank you for watching!
I love this project! Working with tins is so fun! Fabulous grungy !
I have to find the story behind the hands 🙌 😏
beautiful book. i so appreciate your ideas and your *thoughts*! :) you might find me commenting on every one of your videos, eventually...
I’m happy you are finding projects you like!! Thanks for being here!
This looks fantastic
Thank you!!
I thinkI can hear my Altoids tin collection calling pick me, pick me! Loved the wax on the pieces, I will have to try that…would a heat gun work?
For melting and setting the wax? Yes!
Great project, I have some of these tins, but they are new. Should I try and gesso all over after rubbing down? Or cover with paper first
This was a new one…I would scratch them up with sandpaper then cover in gesso! Good luck!!
