I know you posted this years ago --But I am so glad to find it. I have one of these and didn't know the proper way to use it. You explained everything Thank You😄
This is a great tool. After watching the video, I easily cut perfect circles from photographs and from double-sided adhesive. On my initial attempts, I scratched some of the photos, so I put a little masking tape on the bottom of the spinning piece and have had no more problems.
Thank you for this video. I have found this circle cutter very inconsistent to use, but I am going to give it another try before I spend the money to replace it.
Thanks so much for your video! I just cut my first circle. I had to recut a couple spots, but that's to be expected for the first cut. Much better than trying to read through the online instructions.
Hi Lyn. Thank you for this video. I have just borrowed one of these from my neighbour i have a big Shot but want to do a 8" card with a hole in one of the 4 squares. One you tuber suggested the use of a die but fold the card and it was impossible to get it without creasing the card so this will be perfect for aperture card(something i've started making). I couldn't find the arrows either but turned it upside down and they are much clearer, next to the black circle. Hugs xxx Wendy
Trying to cut a circle window in a greeting card 5.5" X 4.25" seems almost impossible. The fact that the paper is smaller than a full sheet of 8.5" X 11", means there is less of the paper to hang onto with the back or heel of your hand. Therefore, the paper slips resulting in a ruined card. Any tips on hold the smaller size paper would be great!
In my opinion it would be helpful if the cane showed how you change the size of the circle. When you changed the measurement you moved the cutter out of range of the camera . You said to turn it but didn’t say what direction to turn it. Thank you for the other information
I'm thinking of getting this as I'm printing circular stickers for my handmade shop, but I don't have a cricut. Would this cutter work to cut my circular stickers manually and neatly?
If you need a precision-cut circle, for say, a button or badge machine where you need an exact size, this is not the cutter for you. For scrapbooking it's fine, but not practical for any size diameter that's a fraction of a whole-number.
Mine worked a few times and then began to cut only half-circles. I adjusted what I could, and changed the blade to a new one. Still cuts half circles. Any idea what has happened to this cutter?
I tried mine after watching this video, and I'm sure if I could get the hang of it, it would be a great tool. But it's too hard to keep the paper still while I'm cutting. Plus, it's almost impossible to see the little arrow that tells me what size circle I'm cutting. I'm gonna take mine back and just buy circle punches for different sizes. I don't do too many circles, so I won't need many. But the punches are much easier to use. With coupons I won't have to spend too much.
For keeping the paper still, a video for a different cutter suggested applying non-permanent tape to the other side of the paper so it doesn't shift around on the work surface. I hope that helps.
I just purchased this and I have to say it is terrible. I does not cut fully and the material moves even though I have pressure on the middle. I am trying to cut 3mil adhesive vinyl.
Well, after watching this "good video" , i ow know ive got another "FISKARS" product ! Im not having any luck with this brand name. What a shame that i have to drive to 2 twon away with 5.18 a gallon gas !! Pisses me off !😢
11 years later, and this is still helpful

I needed a way to quick cut many circles. I found this too laborious, fiddly and did not always cut clean. Too hard to use for lots of circles.
can i cut printed cup cake toppers with this ?
Mine came with circle template. how do you use it. it's a flexible plastic.
Thanks!!!
can this be used to cut a semi circle? Say I wanted to round off the to top of a sheet of some card stock (making fan programs for a wedding)

Hello Lyn, can the Fiskar cutter work on transparency film ? A clear plastic film that's thinner than two sheets of paper. Thanks

Thankyou for the video you made my mind up not to buy one
can this cut vinyl stickers?
I'm curious about this, too. And how hard it is to make sure the "my pre-printed image or artwork" is centered all the way around after I cut it.
how to buy
Using this thing requires actual practice. I'm afraid I'll screw up a bunch of cardstock. :(

Terrible production quality.
