- I placed 200 players into a Minecraft world divided into four races, each with their own unique traits and abilities. Will they be able to create a successful civilization or will they fall under the pressure? I welcome you to the Great Race Experiment.

Abilities:
*Human*
A regular human!
Powers:
None

*Arachnid*
Their climbing abilities and the ability to trap their foes in spiderweb make the Arachnid perfect hunters.
*Powers:*
Climbing - You are able to climb up any kind of wall, not just ladders.
Master of Webs+ - You navigate cobweb perfectly, and are able to climb in them. When you hit an enemy in melee, they get stuck in cobweb for a while. Non-arthropods stuck in cobweb will be sensed by you. You are able to craft cobweb from string. You gain movement speed and stronger attacks in accordance to the number of cobwebs nearby.
Carnivore - Your diet is restricted to meat, you can't eat vegetables.
Fragile - You have 2 less hearts of health than humans.
Kin Eater - Immunity to hunger and poison, meats are more effective.

*Undying*
As creatures of spirit and soul, this race has somehow found itself trapped in these prisons of flesh, unable to escape no matter what they try.
Powers:
Death's Door - The first time you would die, you instead come back with temporary bonus health, as if mocking you for trying to escape this body.
Photoallergic - You begin to burn in daylight if you are not invisible.
Undead - Harming effects heals you. Healing effects hurt you and smite does damage to you.
Cursed Prison - You are only able to wear armor that's cursed, with the exception of leather.
Soul Walker - Soul sand seems to have less of an effect on you than others.
Titanic Spirit - Overwhelming spirit has been pouring into your body, enhancing it greatly. You are now unfazed by slowness effects.

*Schroomite* (yes with a "c")
Half fungi, half guy, less of a fun guy. They come from a desecrated land, one where everything had been consumed and when exposed to threats... well they don't do photosynthesis.
Powers:
Newspring - You start off with two less hearts.
Fungal Nutrition - You are unable to eat regular food, instead you absorb nutrients from nearby mushroom blocks.
Fire Weakness - You take 3 times more damage from fire.
Stem Operation - When you kill another player, they summon a stem and a mushroom (randomly picked between red and brown).
Assimilation - When a player dies near you, permanently gain one heart (2 HP).

Never EVER make a meeting in a small room when you're in a server like this.

Outdoor meetings are best, especially with every member physically distanced from one another as to prevent any sudden deadly moves.

in every minecraft civilization video, there is always the common trend that the group in the harshest environment are always the most united
Seems about right, in that environment it's cooperate or die. When you've got enough resources around that fending for yourself is easy, you don't have to rely on others so much.
I love that falsehacker was basically a anime hero or protagonist a war veteran and assasin running a coffee shop that Dons his armor and sword again eventually leading a war and multiple races only to sacrifice himself to merge what was left of both faction through his death leading to world peace

FINALLY someone who recognizes that Civilization vids are at their PEAK when the conflicts are ORGANIC and not FORCED into separate teams via admins and also making them unable to "teamkill". No matter what, if you leave the players without instruction they WILL make factions all on their own, Which also allows for internal conflicts too.
Literally the only other time i've seen this done correctly like that was in two videos from IGoByLotsOfNames and your Backrooms video.
nahh they still give instructions. The admins of this event wanted a peaceful ending but the humans didnt care and just kept fighting.

I was one of the last schroomites standing due to basically making my own little maze deep underground to trap any intruders.
Was pretty cool overall. I streamed it as well for anyone who wants to watch it.

Also, I avoided all fights entirely and was completely pacifist.
However, the idea of the maze was to make combat more easy for me sure it come to that.
I only got like 4 or 5 visitors that weren't admins lol.

For the next one you should put them on one big island, that way the nation wont be form depending on the race and will allow more diverse nation

@@kamusgold3455 that did not stop the havoc on day 1. Lava buckets could still be placed as environmental damage to kill others, we even outcaster Pepsi because of this.
I was part of the Schroomite Republic when it was first founded after the first announcement in the Discord.
The first plans for the nation was to be as defensive as possible, and I was part of a team that brainstormed and solved lots of our problems stemming from our weakness to fire.
It's great to see that the Schroomites basically did nothing of what was originally planned, as they were some of the least planned people I have ever met; and their government system lead to each sector being led by someone who then thought that they knew best in every situation and never listened to the ideas of others.
In the end only a handful of seclusive hermits that lived in elaborate defencive systems was all that was left of the schroomite race. Kinda ironic consideirng you're comment.
I love this experiment! Do you think the next time you do it you could keep a player tracker so we know the relative numbers of each team?

Actually, roosters4dayz was the leader of the arachnid race, but he was too focused on the military, so everyone else split apart from him, leading to the rebels being slaughtered and rooster being the strongest military power.
No one loves the warrior, until the enemy is at the gates.

On the Undying Island , a group called "NULL" was formed with an objective to eliminate all of its enemies. The group of players had allied with COK and helped them ambush the Human Republic. Once Allies , COK allowed them to get loot from the large supply of villagers on the human island.(btw the group isn't just undyings) The players in the group were:

This is by far my most favorite experiment on your channel, I was happy to see so many ppl I knew in there
New Idea: Four artifacts are located, and the only way for a civilization to win is for one on their citizens to hold all four artifacts at once. However, once a leader is decided, they can exile and introduce any person they see fit, meaning, for example, rebels from another country could be added into another civilization or even merge civilizations. Having a spy already embedded into every civilization would also cause chaos.
It would nice to see what would happen. Would the world try to unite into a single government? Have one government defeat every other civilization in war and combat. Some real interesting things are about to happen.

It would devolve into everyone killing each other. As any attempts to try anything is ruined by people who act like pvp is the only thing to do in these simulations. I would like to see one where the goal is to build a prosperous society, THAT would be interesting.

I feel like theshroomites could have easily stomped so hard. Just gather all the players and draw lots. There are ten lots that mean death, and do ritualistic sacrifices. You will have 40 players with 20 extra hearts, which should be insanely terrifying to face against.

The only thing I think I would have liked to see that I didn't, was the fact that crypt broke the blaze spawner. Other than that amazing!

This one was definitely better because of the more diverse factions that were not forged by race but betrayal and allegiance it also had a "happy" ending instead of the genicide of humans
tbf if you noticed a severe lack of schroomite story by day 8 or 9 it’s because there were like 4 left 😂
The problem I had with the last one is that many comments claim “realistic” but it’s more like the humans were so hell bent on being the villains.
It’s not realistic, it’s a bunch of suicidal dumbasses that want to be the bad guys but with none of the strength of actual people who have the “superior” mindset.

Idk who first started the civilization server videos but I’m so happy many others are following because I love them
for the origins mod, there could be a slight permanent power boost for humans after they beat the dragon. just so their not completely outplayed by the other adapted origins

This marks the 2nd time I died to "Is GravitWry with us?" same thing happened in s1 and s2, so I'm half expecting for it to happen in s3.

This had some really heavy WWI vibes. What started as a random shromite serial killer escalated into a world spanning war with betrayal around every corner
why not add these 3 mods to change gameplay a bit
spartan weaponry
spartan shields
small ships
first 2 adds custom weapons, shield, and enchants
and the last 1 adds cool boats that could hold 30 players and has 9 rows of inventory slots
late but those are forge mods and i dont think they would work with fabric mods like origins

The best civilization video in terms of editing. My jaws dropped at the beginning of Day 8; the editing really set the tone and the magnitude of the final battle. 10/10, would watch again.

this is the best minecraft video i ever seen i have it all betray, coups, rebellions, war, character development (fake hacker) and an epic narrative
Cool video as always, but once again it inevitably descends into chaos and bloodshed. It'd be cool if there were different ways to show superiority than just by conquering other people's lands; I'm reminded of Sid Meier's Civilization franchise, where there are various victory conditions besides domination, such as science, culture, religion, and diplomacy. Something along those lines could make these types of videos less predictable and more exciting. Victory conditions in this context could be something like being the first to reach the End, developing infrastructure to have the most employed villagers, accumulating the highest amount of a given resource like diamonds or emeralds, etc. Basically, it'd be nice to see a gameplay loop other than "fight each other, betray teammates, splinter off and/or merge into different groups, fight each other some more."
I have a theory that the more powerful a race is the quicker its society collapses look at the schoomites they had the potential to be the most powerful race on the server and had the power to grow in strength infinity with death and there nature would've lead them to war and that would only make them stronger the more of them that died the stronger the ones around grew, instead they immediately split themselves into too factions and wiped themselves out for the most part. Then look at the humans they were the weakest race by far but they were always able to recover and were a major power through the intire thing even when. They went through 3 genacides and major attacks on them.
the schroomites tried there best from avoiding this from happening, but in the process just made it worst
The humans were actually very strong in that we had a plethora of villagers, it’s partially why the initial attack from CoK happened

ah i remember the preparations for this, the shroomite war lord, faking myself as an official ambassador to the shroomite people, getting invited to the top 1 percent server wherein I was accused a spy and stayed up until 1 am conversing about the threat of the 5th column, and being an ambassador to the sheldonians, arachnids, and undying on behalf of the shroomite. i went afk for 2 months after I realized I didn't have a Minecraft account. fun times

The Arachnid ambush of the humies reminded me of Dune scene were the Sardkau were ambushed by the fremen. It was glorius, a masterful ambush, worthy of Hanibal Barca himself
You should definitely consider the voip mod that Hermitcraft uses, as well as starting players on one large island with lots of variation.
You could also add in events like famines, blood moons, etc. just to keep things spicy

@@coolhunter3 for starters, the VOIP mod isn't used by many of the videos. Second, there's a reason people do those videos, they're fantastic. Third, of course they can still add their spin on it

You skipped over some stuff. Like how people got information about secret stuff. The big assassination plot by the undying for instance. That seems like something they would have kept quiet about
I thought you would’ve included “The crypt” but I guess you never known what happened. I don’t remember his YT his team had hidden the information about the blaze spawner from his own race and other races and destroyed it after farming enough for himself.

Man, a year passes so quickly. I wish we could have seen another origins event, but instead of 4, there are tens of origins, scattered amongst not just one world, but 3.

Idea for the next 4 races:
Humans (ofc)
Infernals: have the drink lava to survive, can spit fire, deal a burn effect to non-infernals within a 3 block radius but can't wear armour since it just melts
Amphibians (similar to Merlins ik):
Can tame fish which will attack enemies when underwater, can swim faster, do double damage with tridents, effects of land and water reversed, so when put of water slowly die and mine slower
Tribesmen: Mine wood faster, get twice as much wood for every block mined, can shoot bows further, can jump 3 blocks into air but can't leave the jungle or they slowly die
Interestingly enough peace came after the second world war in minecraft just like it did in real life

Ya know, compared to most of these minecraft social experiment videos, yours are without a doubt the BEST by far. The main reason to me is that yours seem less scripted and more genuine than the rest, and even if there is actually a lot of scripting and set ups, its very hard to notice and everything seems believable and legitimate. Keep it up man, love em.
