I listened to I’m Glad My Mom Died because Jennette herself reads the audiobook. It was absolutely fascinating especially as someone who was right in that iCarly generation who saw all of this from the outside. What a gripping story, my mouth was open the entire time!

I read The Thursday Murder Club at the very end of last year and I think you'd LOVE it, Lucy! It's about a group of hilarious and tenacious seniors who try to solve cold cases in their spare time, but then end up in the middle of an actual murder mystery. It's so funny and comforting, but the mystery is exceptional and sooo satisfying as well. Highly recommend!!!

Loving all the book content lately! Just from your description The Things We Do To Our Friends really reminds me of the TV series Clique, also set in Edinburgh, also with a female protagonist at university level with a secret in her past, also her being lured into this dark, mysterious circle of female friends. Definitely going to give it a read just for that. 😊

What a lovely stack of books! I’ve just started reading Tomorrowx3 and I don’t think I’m emotionally ready!
Something I did for the first time last year was at the end of each month I put £1 in a monzo pot for every book I read so I had a nice little pot of funds to then spend in the sales/January 😊

If you haven’t already read it, I highly recommend The Ninth House (and the sequel that just came out) Leigh Bardugo. It’s dark academia with magic and revolves around the secret societies at Yale, and the main character is mysteriously hired to oversee the societies’ rituals and to be a student there after she wakes up in the hospital after almost dying from a drug overdose. The sequel was a five star read for me and the first one was excellent as well!

I've been meaning to pick up Atlas Six myself but kind of lost track of it... thank you for reminding me! Excited to hear how you get on with it. Definitely a more dark and spooky selection this time around. Weirdly enough for some reason the last book reminded me of Midnight in Everwood too... I dunno why since they're not at all similar in any way.... maybe just the "ooo shiney cover" got me thinking and reminding me of books I need to hunt down.
