I'm suprised no one has made a crap fanfic about an alternate universe where brad beats buzzo the first time they meet since it would literally change the entire plot.
Rosy Maple As I said a crap fanfiction. So you hit it right on the nose my friend. Although I am still curious about what would have happened if buzzo actually lost and didn't pull the "destroy the world" stuff. Especially if brad could beat him before he was force fed joy.
SpaceCarvs I don't know, on a joyless run its implied brad could have held on if it wasn't for that last little push buzzo gave. It would have at the very least prevented brad from being so crazy for the rest of the game.
+deceptiveauto "Brad defeated Buzzo. And then he had sex with every member of his team. The end." There you go, I wrote that fanfic for ya. Highest quality.
Heehee the game immediately ends with all the Joy Boys and Brad's party members turning on him and beating him into paste and then fighting to the death over Buddy. She slips away in the confusion.
Gallagher here with sufficiently calmed tits. I see why it only has one ending now that ive played it fits the story. Still though it would have been cool if beating buzzo unlocked a secret ending.
As a reply to Rosy Maple's comment, that is certainly not true. You can poison him with Carp(and maybe other characters but I haven't the time to test them), and since he has a high luck and speed stat, survives more often than Fly would. Fly dies a LOT, in my experience, and when he did survive, his Super Puke didn't do the effects that would stop Buzzo from attacking and being poisoned at the same time. Fly is a bit of a gamble to use, because he dies constantly and has a low luck stat. Anyways, you don't have to use this team to win- I used Fly, Geese(for Paralyzing Peck that would stun Buzzo), Buckets(for his "scary" coin flip that would also scare Buzzo-idk why Buzzo's scared of a coin flip, but whatever), Carp(for his poison mist), and Brad because he has to be there. If only Dingaling would give the player an achievement for defeating him(or Demon X, since they're programmed the same way). Anyways, I would love to see you beat Demon X!
+jkb5954 I didn't know that :O I thought he was immune to most status effects. I don't have a save file at the Demon X fight so that'll have to wait til I get the urge to play through the game again. It probably won't be too long though!
Also if you actually kill him (should be really hard, I'm talking every attack is perma death) he just runs away like a pussy, you keep your arm or items sure. Though you probably lost a party member. Or 2, or everyone.
Austin really missed a chance here to deliver a real gut punch. Buzzo isn't supposed to be defeated, of course, but it IS possible to defeat him and just a "Fuck you this is game over" isn't even that bad even if the victory was cheated. What would have been terrifying, would've been if the scene continued and Buzzo would have actually killed Buddy in a following cutscene. One could even keep the "I'll end this world now" line. Or even better, have changed it to "I'll end YOUR world now", because that's what Buddy is to Brad. Then have the game linger on Buddy's corpse just a bit and cut to black with a slow Buzzo laugh. Game over.
The creator did not expect a victory on the players part in this battle and as a result this ending ensued or they did expect this and the boss was a sore loser and killed the world via killing the protagonist daughter which is in character for him to do as he wanted the protagonist to suffer as much as possible
It’s stupid that you can’t beat Buzzo, even if that was the intention. Why make Buzzo unbeatable and then give us super bosses like Satan? I know he’s story relevant but what is supposed to be special about Buzzo that doesnt apply to everyone else? It’s stupid. You can kill anyone and everyone else, but not Buzzo or demon x smh
Well, it'd kinda wreck the story, and it makes sense for it to happen, but instant game overs makes games seem kind of salty. "MEH, WELL...SCREW YOU! YOU DON'T GRT TO PLAY ANY MORE!"
Poisin kills in ten turns no matter the target's hp and deals 10% of their max health each turn. Buzzo has 999,999hp so it all nicely went into 10 turns.
i still find it really surprising that dingaling made extra dialogue for beating buzzo even though you're not supposed to, with some implications at that, if you like theories
MickDick l Well, what did you expect? It's like Dingaling to troll, but he can't do it without making it too OOC. He probably didn't think people would beat Buzzo, and yet, here we are.
Honestly one of my favorite fights in the game. The fact Buzzo upon being bested has the ability to destroy the world is such a cool and out of left field detail. I see people saying that they wish that Buzzo being defeated should have had an easter egg but I think itd kinda defeat the purpose of this scene.
Since they couldn't make him die after being defeated to imply that he's strong and important to the story,Dingaling should've at least made him retreat afterwards But no,once a Gary Stu,always a Gary Stu (and by "always" i mean until Joyful of course)
@@abcdefg7770 the man who taught him everything about combat(( possibly holding back)), beat him to a pulp with nothing but puke. His response? I'm going to stab buddy/self destruct. That's as Gary stu as it gets. Granted this is a rarity for him.
what a huge let down. not even a little cutscene. nope. just tells you to fuck right off. this right here-- along with mandatory grinding and back tracking-- is one of the reasons this game isn't perfect, in my eyes. in a game FULL of HARD decisions.. you can't decide to kill this guy, just because you're not supposed to? would've been cool to see him die, and have that affect Lisa Joyful, different scenes and endings. mhm. great video, man!
I kinda agree with you and kinda don't! Lisa was never really about hard decisions, despite what Austin said in the kickstarter. It's really just a linear struggle through a twisted world where a bunch of horrible things happen. It makes sense that you can't kill Buzzo, because he's just too strong. That's what makes him so unlikable as a villain. He holds all the cards and he uses his position of advantage to torture you at every turn. The game really didn't have any MANDATORY grinding per say. It actually becomes trivially easy (to the point that character levels really don't even matter) once you figure out which status effects are really effective (poison, scared, knocked down) and what's immune to them and what isn't (mutants are immune to most status effects but not all). This isn't really conveyed to the player very well though, and I'd say it would be almost impossible to discover a lot of these tricks if you mostly stuck to the same party for the whole game (which most players probably did). Maybe could have used more playtesters? Anyway, the game isn't perfect! But nothing's perfect. I still like it a lot.
Rosy Maple very well thought out comment! you really seem to have a deep knowledge of this game! seen in your videos and in your replies. I think a BIG issue for me is my dislike for RPGs in general, so it is kinda unfair of me to 'deduct points' for the grind or other mechanics that are just what the game is meant to be. you caught me red handed. I used the same party for most the game. at times, I did have to 'cheat' and refer to google cause I just felt so lost. but your guess sounds really right!.. maybe with more play testers, many issues could've been solved. and it's not like I HATE the game. I'd still give it a solid 8 or so. the writing is fantastic. the random oddities and humor are spectacular. it made me WANT to explore (at least until closer to the end of the game). and the story/writing.. ugh.. I really had to sit and digest at times. just sitting there. it's almost a psychological horror game. just so well done. kinda feel like it'd make a kick ass movie! if.. Hollywood ever chooses to touch on some of these.. very hard topics. recently, I've found that with the little time I have free, I prefer to play shorter games that focus more on the story. a short amazing experience. talking Undertale, pony island, and of course-- that brought me to Lisa. you seem very well educated. do you happen to have any recommendations for me?
Might give Hylics by Mason Lindroth a try. It's on itch.io for just a couple dollars. Should only take a few hours to beat. I recommend it mainly for the crazy art, but the gameplay is tightly designed and not grindy at all. It is an RPG still though.
Rosy Maple just saw the trailer. sooo trippy. great recommendation, I'll definitely check it out. if you think you know the 'whole' story behind the Lisa games, you should totally consider doing a video on that. I've been looking for a breakdown without any real luck. shows how great of a game this is so. I'm done with it and still looking to find out more about it.
Someone should make a mod where defeating Buzzo isn't a lose condition and you can just continue on without him harassing you. The downside is, Buddy dies vs Yado's Sweetheart because you killed Buzzo, ya dingus.
He takes joy a lot, I guess. Maybe he's been in the early stages of mutating for awhile, obtaining the inhuman strength from it but not losing his composure yet.
He's strong because he used to train under Brad, strong enough to take out a young rando. With how much stronger rando got, one could assume the same exponential grow for buzzo as well.
fitzgamer #999 it’s literally confirmed in the true ending of the game that it’s some sort of science experiment, probably military. Joy bears a suspicious resemblance to Methamphetamine (minus color) which was actually used on military troops back then, so it could be very well possible it was a new drug in testing before the apocalypse. I mean, the effects of Methamphetamine and Joy line up nearly 1:1 ✅ Bouts of rage and increased strength ✅ Decreased perception to pain ✅ Causes psychosis during withdrawal or prolonged use ✅ Highly addictive ✅ Is a neurotoxin which slowly causes insanity and eventually memory loss issues. Make of this what you will, but I find these parallels VERY suspicious.
@@jesfest i think its just cuz buzzo got some other cool joy, but honestly even then i feel like rando would beat the shit out of him. *i mean just look at rando! Guy could beat his entire army times 100*
You know people keep talking about buzzo killing buddy the moment he is defeated Buzzo can overpower buddy at full strenght im not so sure if he can when he is badly injured There were multiple moments in painful where it shows that buddy is a capable fighter maybe not enough right now due to lack of joy and experience But i think buddy can kill buzzo if he is injured enough Also you can't repopulate with one girl....
Doing this with harvey would’ve been way easier since his base skill always inflicts bleed. Or Yazan’s second ability where he throws the cat. Why does no one use those guys?
As if the world wasn’t already fucked enough with the mutants and zero minor vegetation Also I thought that he would nuke it but nvm apparently he kills the girl (r.I .p)
That's the worst reaction I can possibly think of. Even worse than game just stuck there, requiring reset situation. I've got similar impression from that "climbing up" point, where game just trolling player. There are line between just plain trolling and fun trolling, and it seems dev of this game have wrong sense about it.
I personally don't think this "end" is lame, it's just realistic for Buzzo. He never cared for Buddy, so he just kills her and make Brad suffer even more. I don't know but I just think this makes the most sense for Buzzo.
Buzzo is the kind of guy to make sure it doesn't matter if you beat him. My head canon for one reason or another is him setting off a nuke. The ending after the fight is so quickly timed that it's always given off that feeling
+Klyx Jds That last headbutt didn't actually do anything. I was just kinda messing around with Brad since he's pretty much useless during this fight. Buzzo takes no damage from physical attacks. The poison is actually what finished him off. I don't know why he ends up with 9 health! Probably some sort of rounding thing with how poison works.
+JayMasterGamer390 Poison always does damage equal to 10% of the victim's health. Buzzo has a LOT of health but he still dies in ten rounds. The only challenge is surviving that long. ALSO! For some reason Fly seems to be the only one actually capable of poisoning him. Any poison attack from any other character won't affect him.
This is the equivalent of the DM getting pissed the party beat the BBEG or DMPC that's OP through sheer will and game mechanics and decided, "Fuck ya'll, rocks fall and everyone dies." Honestly? This is trash,
wait i'm sorry how is he taking damage? and 99999 damage at that? is it just the poison, and if so how is there a party member in the game that can deal 99999 damage with poison??
poison deals a percentage based amount of damage to the enemy it hits. Since Buzzo wasn't meant to be defeated he has one million HP, and 99,999 is right about 10% of that.
Rosy Maple Being just a little kid with a knife, he wouldn't get too far. He'd get pretty far with stupid adults around, but one mutant would probably rip him apart.
So you make full use of the game's mechanics and use all your characters' abilities to their full potential in order to beat the hardest enemy in the game, and the game rewards you by making you lose. What a trash game. At least the music is good.
I like that this can be interpreted as 2 ways. ending this world as in ending the actual world to the apocalypse or just ending the game with a game over.

I love the song that plays during the fight, I wish it was possible to find a good loop of it.
Suppose I could upload it. It's surprisingly not included in Painful's soundtrack though
Rosy Maple Yeah I find that weird. Granted, its a tune from Lisa: The First as well.
It's "Love" from the First's OST
Rosy Maple it’s because it’s a sped up version of an actual song in the OST, the one titled LOVE.
Brroooooo... what if when you defeated buzzo rather than getting a game over, he runs away with only one arm
Lmao
you got your wish in joyful
Demon X: This is a video game, since it is I will give you instant game over.
Buzzo: sv_cheats 100, Godmode, unbindallexceptbuzzo, explodeworld
...demon x is stronger (i say while drowning in my own salt from trying to beat them)
The song that plays as you fight buzzo. It's something else man
*Buzzo is scared stiff*
all wins and no decision makes dingaling a dull boy
I'm suprised no one has made a crap fanfic about an alternate universe where brad beats buzzo the first time they meet since it would literally change the entire plot.
And then they KISSED
Rosy Maple As I said a crap fanfiction. So you hit it right on the nose my friend. Although I am still curious about what would have happened if buzzo actually lost and didn't pull the "destroy the world" stuff. Especially if brad could beat him before he was force fed joy.
+deceptiveauto
it really doesn't matter if Buzzo gave any joy to Brad in the hole game
Brad was already a joy addicted from the beggining
SpaceCarvs I don't know, on a joyless run its implied brad could have held on if it wasn't for that last little push buzzo gave. It would have at the very least prevented brad from being so crazy for the rest of the game.
+deceptiveauto
"Brad defeated Buzzo. And then he had sex with every member of his team. The end."
There you go, I wrote that fanfic for ya. Highest quality.
5:32 this is what we call in ttrpg terminology "rocks fall, every one dies"
now THAT'S what i call saying "you can't kill me if i kill everyone is dead"
You just get a game over for beating the hardest npc in the game? Gay
Heehee the game immediately ends with all the Joy Boys and Brad's party members turning on him and beating him into paste and then fighting to the death over Buddy. She slips away in the confusion.
I get the last word.
Gallagher here with sufficiently calmed tits. I see why it only has one ending now that ive played it fits the story. Still though it would have been cool if beating buzzo unlocked a secret ending.
Timothy Gallagher You could call "the entire world is exploded by magic" a kind of secret ending. ;)
i see the comment section is as mature and intricate as i would expect it too
Fun Fact:
Buzzo's Full name is Brenerd "Buzzo" Buttfart
Notice how he isn't smiling in this one
It’s kinda sad how he says he’ll destroy this world as he dies. As he’s the one who saves buddy and the world
As a reply to Rosy Maple's comment, that is certainly not true.
Or 2, or everyone.
fun fact: Demon X does significantly more damage than Buzzo.
I like to think Brad holds back during every unwinnable fight
@@shinobidaniel_12 I mean, I would be holding back if you know the fight is unwinnable
Game over.
I think a scene like that would outright ruin Brad's ending
The creator did not expect a victory on the players part in this battle and as a result this ending ensued or they did expect this and the boss was a sore loser and killed the world via killing the protagonist daughter which is in character for him to do as he wanted the protagonist to suffer as much as possible
Okay so buzzo has 999,999 hp... That really close to 1 Million holy shit
like, you made me use 10% of my power, man
Brad: Haha I win!
Buzzo: "Homeward bone"
It’s stupid that you can’t beat Buzzo, even if that was the intention. Why make Buzzo unbeatable and then give us super bosses like Satan? I know he’s story relevant but what is supposed to be special about Buzzo that doesnt apply to everyone else? It’s stupid. You can kill anyone and everyone else, but not Buzzo or demon x smh
yeah. brad wrecked his own team, then the rando army, and then rando, all in one go.
@@helio3928 he was becoming a joy mutant
Well, it'd kinda wreck the story, and it makes sense for it to happen, but instant game overs makes games seem kind of salty. "MEH, WELL...SCREW YOU! YOU DON'T GRT TO PLAY ANY MORE!"
that moment where you almost went off the cliff 3 seconds in the video
how possible unbeatable Buzzo that look Damage -99,999?
so dammm overpowered!
Poisin kills in ten turns no matter the target's hp and deals 10% of their max health each turn. Buzzo has 999,999hp so it all nicely went into 10 turns.
@@calmaxys3114 Yes, once poison is successfully inflicted
@@laurentiusmcmxcv Of course, that may be an issue. But the party shown in the video has some very good poison inflicting skills.
@@calmaxys3114And lucky shots too since Fly easily poisoned Buzzo from the get-go
I think Luck affects the chance debuffs are inflicted, right ?
@@laurentiusmcmxcv While not entirely sure, I do believe so.
So.... Buzzo is god confirmed
i still find it really surprising that dingaling made extra dialogue for beating buzzo even though you're not supposed to, with some implications at that, if you like theories
Extremely disappointing.
MickDick l Well, what did you expect?
It's like Dingaling to troll, but he can't do it without making it too OOC.
He probably didn't think people would beat Buzzo, and yet, here we are.
Player: wins "unbeatable" Buzzo by stacking status
Buzzo has never seen such bullshit before
que rabia!, no era tan dificil seguir la historia con un buzzo mal herido; gracias por la estrategia
Pero no vale la pena porque te da un Game Over al final
bro he end game by two word lol
Honestly one of my favorite fights in the game. The fact Buzzo upon being bested has the ability to destroy the world is such a cool and out of left field detail. I see people saying that they wish that Buzzo being defeated should have had an easter egg but I think itd kinda defeat the purpose of this scene.
I thought Buzzo was programmed to be invincible...
+AAA He was! Buzzo takes zero damage from any physical attack. But I guess Ding didn't account for players trying to poison him.
Since they couldn't make him die after being defeated to imply that he's strong and important to the story,Dingaling should've at least made him retreat afterwards
But no,once a Gary Stu,always a Gary Stu (and by "always" i mean until Joyful of course)
buzzo isn't a gary stu whatsoever

How in the fuck is he a Gary Stue, it's called plot armor.
fly truly makes everything easier
what a huge let down.
not even a little cutscene. nope.
just tells you to fuck right off.
this right here-- along with mandatory grinding and back tracking-- is one of the reasons this game isn't perfect, in my eyes.
in a game FULL of HARD decisions.. you can't decide to kill this guy, just because you're not supposed to? would've been cool to see him die, and have that affect Lisa Joyful, different scenes and endings. mhm.
great video, man!
Hmm, that does sound fun. I'll consider it!
Someone should make a mod where defeating Buzzo isn't a lose condition and you can just continue on without him harassing you.
The downside is, Buddy dies vs Yado's Sweetheart because you killed Buzzo, ya dingus.
I guess in that world buzzo is the name of the lord.
All that work, and nothing cool happens? ripoff lisa confirmed to b bed
Robin Hoof pukes?!
Rosy Maple is commented on...
Rosy Maple is liked!
Rosy Maple is subbed!
+Justin Lee Thank you o~o
Wait are you Rosey from the wiki?
Why is buzzo so strong? (Lore-wise)
He takes joy a lot, I guess. Maybe he's been in the early stages of mutating for awhile, obtaining the inhuman strength from it but not losing his composure yet.
I don't know where this is said, but I heard that yado gave him a kind of special joy that made him this strong.
I mean, the effects of Methamphetamine and Joy line up nearly 1:1
✅ Bouts of rage and increased strength
✅ Decreased perception to pain
✅ Causes psychosis during withdrawal or prolonged use
✅ Highly addictive
✅ Is a neurotoxin which slowly causes insanity and eventually memory loss issues.
Make of this what you will, but I find these parallels VERY suspicious.
@@jesfest i think its just cuz buzzo got some other cool joy, but honestly even then i feel like rando would beat the shit out of him.
*i mean just look at rando! Guy could beat his entire army times 100*
Buzzo: You didn't win.
your team is surprisingly weird, how did you play without Terry at all?
You're amazing
does this guy die at all?
Yes, ironically enough his arm gets ripped off
You know people keep talking about buzzo killing buddy the moment he is defeated
Buzzo can overpower buddy at full strenght im not so sure if he can when he is badly injured
There were multiple moments in painful where it shows that buddy is a capable fighter maybe not enough right now due to lack of joy and experience
But i think buddy can kill buzzo if he is injured enough
Also you can't repopulate with one girl....
Well, Buzzo has his army with him, maybe they can kill Buddy.
Well....
That's a lot of arms
Doing this with harvey would’ve been way easier since his base skill always inflicts bleed. Or Yazan’s second ability where he throws the cat.
Why does no one use those guys?
As if the world wasn’t already fucked enough with the mutants and zero minor vegetation
Also I thought that he would nuke it but nvm apparently he kills the girl (r.I .p)
Kinda wish you got a secret ending for beating him
That's the worst reaction I can possibly think of.
The ending after the fight is so quickly timed that it's always given off that feeling
wait you did 99,999 damage to him....? wot?
+Klyx Jds Mhm! Poison kills in ten turns, no matter how much health the target has. And Buzzo has a LOT of health
+Rosy Maple I see
+Rosy Maple So why do you know how to end the fight with that one headbutt?
+Klyx Jds That last headbutt didn't actually do anything. I was just kinda messing around with Brad since he's pretty much useless during this fight. Buzzo takes no damage from physical attacks. The poison is actually what finished him off. I don't know why he ends up with 9 health! Probably some sort of rounding thing with how poison works.
+Rosy Maple Ah.
WOW! Incredible, men!
Would have been better if- Fly? What are you- AGH
What song plays during this fight?
Love from Lisa the First
that sucks.
yea
How exactly did you get poison to do so much damage if don't mind
+JayMasterGamer390 Poison always does damage equal to 10% of the victim's health. Buzzo has a LOT of health but he still dies in ten rounds. The only challenge is surviving that long. ALSO! For some reason Fly seems to be the only one actually capable of poisoning him. Any poison attack from any other character won't affect him.
Oh thanks I didn't even know that about poison
someone knows the name of the song?
Love from Lisa the First
Nice
This is the equivalent of the DM getting pissed the party beat the BBEG or DMPC that's OP through sheer will and game mechanics and decided,
"Fuck ya'll, rocks fall and everyone dies."
Honestly? This is trash,
I mean, the game thought you cheated.
*GAMERED*
Bo
What should have happened was the game just ended the program, be a more literal thing
laik za smuzo
wait i'm sorry how is he taking damage? and 99999 damage at that? is it just the poison, and if so how is there a party member in the game that can deal 99999 damage with poison??
poison deals a percentage based amount of damage to the enemy it hits. Since Buzzo wasn't meant to be defeated he has one million HP, and 99,999 is right about 10% of that.
hmm
dam
Wow so technically Buzz is one of the weakest enemies in the game he only took nine damage and that was enough to defeat him
So
Buzzo confirmed for Chara?
Watch out that one "#1 FAN" Fuckboi may come to start a meaningless flame war just because you mentioned Undertale
ItsHyperinvox
I don't even care, man. I'm like one of 4.5 people who love both games equally.
Undertale's cool! Chara wouldn't last five minutes in Olathe though heehee
Rosy Maple
Being just a little kid with a knife, he wouldn't get too far. He'd get pretty far with stupid adults around, but one mutant would probably rip him apart.
So Chara could just... not... fight the... mutants...?
So you make full use of the game's mechanics and use all your characters' abilities to their full potential in order to beat the hardest enemy in the game, and the game rewards you by making you lose. What a trash game. At least the music is good.
It's just a programming oversight, Dingaling forgot to give him poison immunity. This was just supposed to be a "fuck you" to hackers.
Randolf Littler Besides, Demon X is stronger.
ok buddy hitler
I like that this can be interpreted as 2 ways. ending this world as in ending the actual world to the apocalypse or just ending the game with a game over.
