Agreed, and I think there's something that a lot of people are missing when they're wondering why Larian made Karlach 'forgive' the player: she's utterly desperate to hold onto the connection she has. she knows her days are numbered and that number is coming up quickly; she's hurt and aching and betrayed all at once, but you, the player, are the one shining beacon of what her hopes and positivity were funnelled into. Karlach isn't forgiving the player because it's what she wants to do, but rather because she has no choice if she wants to see any more good in the world for the few days she has left to walk it. Out of all the females, Laezel really seems the most hurt by it. Which is surprising for someone who claims not to believe in love. She clearly does, but doesnt want to adopt the concept in name.
By that point, you have completely turned her entire world on itself. You've shattered everything she's ever believed in and completely changed her outlook on life. During all this, you were her anchor. You were next to her when she began suffering the worst fate imaginable to her people: being infected by a mindflayer. Karlach's reaction is heartbreaking for me. If you romance Karlach, she's holding onto you for dear life, her heart and trust already torn to pieces by Gortash's betrayal and what felt life a lifetime of torture in the hells. Cheating on her with Mizora, the one who came specifcally to retrieve her for Zariel, is one of the worst things you could do to her; but, despite all of that, she still desperately holds onto you, because she knows if she lets go, there's no ground at the end of that fall.
I think Shadow Heart is BSing there to hide the hurt. In her Shar path, she talks about how they were forbidden from having relationships or even flings with each other because Shar demands your whole heart. She basically frames having relationships/ courting as something you have to trick and twist Shar's words and your own perspective on the action to excuse. So one of her stories aint right, and I'm guessing it's this one and not the path where she tells Tav that what they have can never be called love and resorted to using desecrating a Selune statue with the blood of the Night Song as an excuse to fuck Tav without Shar getting pissed.
Because game doesnt have different path answers for Selune and Shar Shadowhearts. Sharran will refuse you but you can still keep kissing her like Selune path. They didnt worked on that.
Lot's of rly stuuupid ppl here think that cheating is okay, it is NEVER "okay". Even if your soulmate says that they dont mind cheats - they do mind, quite a bit. They are hurt, and probably have been hurt for a long time, they are broken from the trauma that they suffered long ago.

I got 3 romance scenes back to back, SH telling me she wanted to spend the rest of her life with me, the Emporer trying to flirt with me and Mizora trying to get into my pants. It was an interesting evening for my Tav lol
Same thing happened - Mizora approached me and I agreed but then the Emperor scene triggered instead (so I did that), next long-rest was the Halsin-bear scene (so I did that), and then I finished Astarion's personal quest and *he* had a long-rest scene (so I did that), and THEN I took him and Halsin to the drow twins... and we did that... and finally, only after my guy had started seriously sleeping his way through Faerun, the Mizora scene triggered. After that he moved on to Haarlep lol. But you're saying you got them on separate long-rests or the same one? That would be hilarious if you could get it all in the "same" night lmao.

I feel like they needed to give Mizz a better personality if they wanted her to be actually tempting. Like is she for the players that get off on the factual knowledge of imminent regret?
Karlach's is the most sad of the 3 options that I would pay any attention to. Shadowheart cvcked out. Lae'zel said "you hurt me, and we cant make it better" in the best way a Gith female can. I'm curious as to Minthara's response ?
Like, to me, even shadowheart seemed more upset then what was let on. She accepted it because that's what she was taught, but at the same time, she acted like she wanted it to be different or she wanted more from the mc. @@Dactess I was being a combination of facetious & provocative (y'know internet) as it relates to Shadowheart. In full earnestness, its clear that Shadowheart was bothered -- probably safe to just say "hurt". Most of us innately want to feel that we're special enough to lock down someone we like into a dedicated relationship. When we think that (committed relationship) may be the case, and the other person does something to show us we were wrong in that assumption, it stings. I think the full view in Shadowhearts case, is that she was hurt, but doesn't want to make the demand of commitment or walk off -- as Lae'zel did. Because she either more fears being without someone, or because her self worth tells her that she cant lock a somewhat decent person down. I draw these conclusions based on what we see of Shadowheart as a person from the entire game experience. Lae'zel has a high sense of self worth & self respect. So when you cheat on her, shes hurt but cant accept allowing herself to be treated that way -- so its over.

I want to clear this out but, Shadowheart and Astarion are NOT okay with this. Just because they say they are, they are not. They are as furious/upset as the others are, but due to their background they won't (arguably don't have it in them) leave you. If Shadowheart's first dialogue (the way she just says it should give you a hint that there's some boiling anger inside) after Mizora left, didn't give you the mention she's upset look at her facial expression and hear her voice. You just went with someone BEHIND her back without even talking to her about it. Yes, she's fine with poly but only when you both agree to it. She allows/joins with you to sleep with the Drow bc she was present throughout the entire thing and decided "what the hell". I highly doubt she'd be open to sleep with a demon who tried to fuck around their friends and is trying to actively hurt ya'll (that's the entire reason she proposed this in the first place) Astarion if you know his history, you know he often wears behind a mask and has difficulty saying 'no' or admitting that he's uncomfortable that you betrayed his trust. He's putting on a mask but deep down he's definitely hurt. Heck, it was pretty clear that he felt insecure and scared asf when you wanted to be poly w/ Halsin but he said yes because he doesn't want to lose you in a sense that he'll feel like he made a mistake.
Cheating on Wyll with Mizora is so evil thing, especially with her. After everything she did to him, how she hurt him through the years, how she ruined his life, he still has to face the fact that the person he trusted so much and loved so much slept with her. It's really heavy and probably the most evil thing that could be done to him. Besides, I think that no matter who Tav cheated on with Mizora, the devil definitely made sure the entire camp knew about it, especially Tav's partner. She just wants to hurt them and cause trouble. And it's not surprising, considering how she treats Wyll and the fact that she is a devil. More, about Astarion I think his reaction comes from fear of losing Tav during his break from intimate things. He is very insecure and fragile about this sort of thing what make sense beacuse of his past, so he doesn't want to put Tav on a leash so that she/he stays with him. However, looking at his entire personality from the beginning of the game, I think he would prefer Tav to wait until he recovers from everything he has been through and returns to intimate things when he is really ready (in game, I think this happens after defeating Cazador, on the cementary). And Karlach... it's really heartbreaking that she forgive Tav after night with Mizora. She is so afraid of losing her life and her loved ones that she forgives someone who showed her such disrespect. But on the other hand, she showed a really great understanding for Tav. Karlach is amazing character. Last thing, I know in games player can romance with NPC, break up with NPC etc. but this game allows the player to be a manipulative asshole in romances storyline, especially in Astarion's romance story. New change, new choices, I kind of respect that in this game 😅
Just saying but I think the only person who is genuinely truly ok with this is Halsin. Shadowheart is extremely upset (not because you bed someone else but because you didn’t talk to her about it) and Astarion is putting up a front.

I feel like you sleeping with Mizora should cause Karlach to break up with you too. there is too much personal issues between them
She also knows just how sick and twisted the devils are at lies and manipulation. Both Karlach and Wyll should be fully aware of this and to me it makes sense why they should actually be more forgiving/understanding of it. At the very least if you pick the right dialogue options. At the end of the day it's a role playing game, the point is not the best or most effective outcome but the way you explain your own character's actions through those dialogue options.
I didn't really like her logic of, "She works for Zariel so she's pure evil." So did you, Karlach, so did you and you did horrible things following orders too. Yes, Karlach had it much worse than Mizora but it's not like Mizora is free from Zariel either. What would happen to Mizora if she defies Zariel? It's not that simple.
@@sirus804it actually is pretty simple because mizora straight up tells you how much she loves avernus while karlach constantly tells you how she'd rather die than go back. Mizora may not be serving zariel completely of her own will but she likes what she does and is undeniably evil

You were there when her own people turned on her. You were there, standing next to her, as she spat in the face of the being she used to consider an actual god.

The dialog options for Wyll are CRAZY
I was being a combination of facetious & provocative (y'know internet) as it relates to Shadowheart.

Damn Karlach and Wyll’s reactions hit different
I highly doubt she'd be open to sleep with a demon who tried to fuck around their friends and is trying to actively hurt ya'll (that's the entire reason she proposed this in the first place)
Astarion if you know his history, you know he often wears behind a mask and has difficulty saying 'no' or admitting that he's uncomfortable that you betrayed his trust.
