- What a week! I came down with a sinus infection, went kinda deaf, had a proper saga with my landlord and more… The only good thing that happened was finally finding a great denim jacket. Lol.

Thanks Alan, I'll definitely continue vlogging even now that I'm in Slovenia (or traveling abroad). :) Yeah, unfortunately, my last weeks in the UK were far from great, but I'll come back to make some new, positive memories. Seeing the rest of the UK at some point is still on my to-do list too! Desperate to check out Scotland, Cornwall, and all the tiny cute villages in between. :)

Yup, that sounds about right for London letting agents...totally unorganised...Sorry you are having a crap week...negative nancy ha ha :) oh well you've got to laugh or you'll cry as we say.... it did cross my mind a week ago to mention to you about unscrupulous landlords and agents regarding deposits...they always seem to find an excuse not to give you your deposit back, it's becoming a joke renting in London concerning this problem. Hopefully you got yours back!! Also, the sinus thing is a pain, I know because I also suffer from it now and then...it's gotten worse since moving to Slovenia for some reason...This always seems to affect my ears...I once had a bad inner ear infection because of too much ear cleaning due to wax build up...the more I got them syringed, the worse they got! I saw an excellent ENT specialist here in Vic...ok, he was not the friendliest, but he did cure the infection for me. But the best was a specialist at the hospital in central Ljubljana who said I should'nt put anything in my ears at all....ever! I followed his advise, and after a year, they have normalised and I finally have no problems. But...I have been left with Tinnitus (made worse with salt/sodium) and a 20% hearing loss in one ear since the infection :( I hope your ears clear and your week gets better.... :)
Omg, yes! I didn't get my whole deposit back the last time because my flatmate's room was not clean - like it's my fault. I spend two days cleaning the whole house by myself and then because of her mess, I got screwed over. Lol. Really hope there won't be any problems this time around, but who knows. So glad you sorted out your ear/sinus problems - they're such a pain in the ass! I went to see a specialist before in Slovenia and they sorted me out (well, some of the damage was already done), so if this doesn't sort out on its own, I'll go to see them again.
Yes, I have experienced dodgy landlords practices before...Best thing you can do is to make sure when you move in that you photograph anything that looks scratched or damaged and then make sure you return it to the original state it was in when you first started renting or they'll find something to screw you over with. Plus, and this is something I learned from a lettings agent...any deposit you give them should be placed in an interest account so it doesn't depreciate in value...Many times they'll use your deposit for expenses or to pay their own bills, which makes them reluctant to then dig into their own pockets when the deposit need to be returned. Good luck with the final packing and sorting...hope it's not too stressful. :)

Ker nisem nujen primer, lahko dobim termin šele čez dva tedna, takrat me pa sploh v Angliji ne bo več. 🙃 Upam, da bo šlo na bolje, drugače bom šla pa v Sloveniji privat, da me na hitro porihtajo. 🙈
