The Red, Is awsome for Orientation,.
As well Here in Alabama, I'm 40 Mike's from Tuskegee Where the " Red Tail" Squadrons trained!.
They Saved My Uncles life in a B-17, in 1943 Awsome!!
A very good Thursday evening to you all in the USA from Wellington Somerset in the UK 🇬🇧
Hi Mate
My favorite Murder Mystery neighbors across the pond!
This is up there with the A10 Warthog and Mike Paveis plane in my book, shame is I am still no where near ready to fly any of these three as mentioned, fed up with crash repairs to my Cub not enough hours in the day to advance.
Doing well guys I am still here even though still a 5th scale gas off road guy at heart.
That is a Show Piece, Seriously, There will be Many Many, Hanging from the Ceiling, Collectors Including the Nerds at Lockeed Design Skunkworks. Beautiful.
SICK!!!!
"I want Squishy Tires on all The Planes", Brian Has Spoken. Make it So RC Engineers'!
Thanks!
thanks just got one!!
Awesome! Hope you enjoy it!
I just build a model kit of the sr71. I gotta get one looks awesome
Looks very nice.
And very difficult to drive
Il est. Vraiment. Top.
$249.00 w as3x etc, as of now, pre-order.
I still impressed pushing 40+min videos, the Scotty Kilmer of rc!
41:00 - for those that are new... and undecided about this hobby.
NIIIIICE 👌🏻
Wow! Spy plane and Interceptor.
I'm definitely buying it! Just to hang from my ceiling. 😅😅
Nasa bought 10 from the US Airforce, they wanted to see if it could be converted to a space plane , and altitude testing ,but it couldnt , not one SR71 was ever shot down om covert missions , an extraordinary aircraft.
Does anyone know if I can replace the receiver be because I can’t afford a spectrum transmitter
You guys should buy a connex for your airplanes😂😂
You could do jack black.
Thanks ;)
Hi Brian, Philippe from France, do you have a review of ASW-15 ? Always interesting of your videos. Have a nice day !
I wish I did. I love all the ASW planes, but don't believe I've ever done an ASW-15.
www.brianphillipsrc.com/sailplanes - Check here, if you'd like to see what Sail Planes we've done. We have all the PLANE TYPES ( www.brianphillipsrc.com/ - then choose TYPE at the top ) on a list, but keep in mind, this list is a work in progress, and reflects our more recent reviews to be honest.
@@BrianPhillipsRC Thank's a lot ! Enjoy🛶🛶🛶🛶🛶🛶
SAILPLANE DITTOS!!!!
This looks amazing, but I’m definitely not a level 3 pilot yet. Do you have a recommendation for a first EDF for a reasonably competent ‘2’ in prop planes?
Habu 50.
Agreed habu 50mm
I am curious as to how one determines his flying level? Are there any objective criteria?
@@wayneyadams Guidelines. It's kind of like snow skiing. When the bunny runs bore you, try the next level. You might crash, but if you've worked on the basics you'll learn why it happened and you will improve. Fly, crash, fix, repeat. These foamies are eminently repairable.
@@wayneyadams Here in the UK our BMFA runs an achievement scheme where you can take and pass increasingly difficult levels, with the 'A cert' being the basic safe flying level.
Reverse thrust available?
What if I don't have a Spectrum TX?
I am pretty sure the manual is wrong, and they meant 5mm, not 0.5mm.
If you have DSMX, you can make it happen, but I would highly suggest you consider a Spektrum Tx - bprc.me/Tx
I suggest the NX10 or more if cost isn't a huge issue. The NX10 is a great option, and will give you hundreds of planes worth of use, and will be a good long investment, even if you end up with only a few horizon hobby planes.
Just my 2 cents - you'll never regret a good Tx, but you will almost immediately regret a bad one.
@@BrianPhillipsRC I am invested in FrSky Accst D16, also I dislike Spectrum a buddy has it (the old version) and it is horrible, compared to OpenTx.
Why does E-Flite limit its potential buyer's group, to Spectrum people only, it makes no sense?
hi. How many channels does it require on this bird? Can i use a Spectrum Dx6i with 6 channels?
Sure can! With no flaps or retracts, you only need a 5+ channel transmitter.
You should try to fly it without the verticals, it would be much more stealthy, lol 😂
How about hang it beneath the chandelier?
Oh wow! I just remembered. In 1974 my wife and I went to " meet & greet " my new neighbor. He had one I believe on a stand in his living room on the coffee table or close by. First, I had ever seen. It was close to the size of your plane. I'm thinking that he worked at N.A.S.A. He told me the story of how it was a recon plane which would be designated RS - 71. Later during a speech President Johnson making comments about the plane called it the SR - 71. So, the Military choosing not to hurt his feelings changed the Blackbird's designation. Anyways, I went home wishing that I had one in my living room too. I don't think my wife returned home with the same notion. The End. " Hey! "
Was the servo cover that was lost ever recovered?
It was! Our oldest found it sitting on the driveway!
@@BrianPhillipsRC Go figure that the young one's find these things while us old folks can't!🤣😛
If this is the same model as the one, I saw tested on another channel, it was given a rating of crappy, and cheap. His biggest complaint was that it was underpowered. I have not watched the test flight yet, so I am curious what Brian's thoughts will be.
I will say that I am not happy that the model does not have retractable landing gear.
You're describing the Eflite F-14 Tomcat to a tee. Flight envelope the size of a postage stamp. Needs a lot of runway, a lot of speed, and it disappears in a hearbeat.
How come you didn't need to setup "aircraft type"?
Show the Cat in the box 🤣🤣
I wonder if his wife is as enthusiastic about flying model planes as he, or is she just going along with his hobby because she loves him and wants him to be happy?
Hi Wayne! This is Megan (Brian's wife.) I'm not nearly as enthusiastic about RC planes as Brian is, but I have learned a TON over the years and have developed a huge appreciation for the RC hobby. I also love that this hobby has been shared by 4 generations in our family... Brian built and flew models with and for his grandpa before he passed, his dad flies full scale and has dabbled in RC, and our boys love the hobby as well. We have met so many amazing people because of this channel, and I fully support my husband's addiction... I mean hobby. :)
@@MeganPhillips Wow, four generations, that is deeply engrained.
I really like how you show the entire setup of a model and give advice on how to get the most out of the models. It's also nice to see the realism of messing up once in a while like we all do in real life.
I also want to complement you on the extensive links you provide, alleviating people of the tedious and laborious searches so commonly needed on other channels.
Yes Wayne She adores RC, Duh.
My wife goes to sleep 30 seconds into my Nerd Rc Talk
Has Horizon fixed their order problems???
No
Nice...but that size. It will sell but aint gonna buy
The size is perfect ! Its just not going to be a beginner plane by no means. But neither was the real SR-71 ha ha
