Back to the Roots and where it all began.....I did that 2 years ago along the James River in Richmond, Virginia....A lot of great kid memories back then and just like you experience very few people!!
I've fished those lakes most of my life, but haven't been there lately. I felt the need to capture it on video, mainly for my own enjoyment. Its always nice to go back "home" and check things out. I will be heading back that area soon to do some ice fishing. Have a great Christmas Wes.
Reggie doesn't say much, but its usually interesting when he does. That was the first time using my new wireless mics. I've had some technical difficulties with them, but I think I've finally got the setting figured out. Merry Christmas!
That looks like a nice area I bet I could go over that dam without even trying LOL but that lake had a lot of cool-looking structure mmmm that wrap made me hungry
it looked like a beautiful day to catch all your " monster fish". I really liked your overview of the lakes and everything accessible around the area, including your unsponsored plug for Eds' Pit stop.Another great video!
If nothing else, Ed's Pit Stop got a free plug. Maybe they will sponsor me next time. I might hit the ice with Reggie early January. It's been so warm here, we don't have safe ice yet.
Now I know why you mic'ed Reggie up....you wanted to hear him scream as you floated towards the dam! 😂🤣😂 Nice to get back to the memory making spot from yesteryear! Watch your eyes Reggie, Rande is rippin' the rod! 😜 No skunk for you guys!! 😁👍
It's a real nice area. Unfortunately, this is kind of a hard lake to fish, but there are so many awesome lakes nearby that it doesn't really matter. Thanks a lot for watching.
This is an amazing video my man! Oh yeah looks so fun catching those fish and fish salad, I love that what you said about your measure tape, one of these days 👍
I'd much rather catch the fish than the salad, but I will take what I can get. As soon as I catch one that reaches the 60 inch mark, you know it will be on RUclips!
This brought back alot of childhood memories. We use to vacation on Little Birch when I was a kid. You show the cabins we stayed in at the 5:30 mark. We had alot of fun and some good fish fry's. I haven't been back in a long time but still think of this place often. Thanks for sharing
Birchwood has many resorts and tourists that come up for the summer. As a kid growing up there, I got to know many of these people. I'm still friends with many of them. I'm glad you enjoyed your stays there. I still go there a couple of times a year to visit family.
Another awesome lake review, Rande! Very cool to do your hometown lake(s). How far are they from where you live now? Also, I looked it up and there are only 10 Birch Lakes in MN. How can y'all have 120 Rice Lakes and only 10 Birch Lakes, LOL?
Haha... I see you like to comment as you're watching. I live about 2 hours from Birchwood now. I normally don't fish Birch in the summer, but I wanted to add it to my lake reviews. They really got to get more creative with lake names. That's the government for ya. I really need to quit the Cheetos, but they are SO good!
Nice spot Fishing 👍
Thanks 👍

Reggie once did the same thing and stuck a big Musky lure in my leg. I like to remind him that I owe him one, so he better watch out.
some great footage , love the aerial views , looks like a great place to fish

LOL, I think I've been all of the Dude Perfect fishing stereotypes at some point!😂🤣
Let's get some dirt and slime up near the 60 inch mark on that new ruler!
Ed's Pit Stop wrap and Cheetos IS the lunch of champions!

That was some "Bassy" looking water with all the lilly pads.
It does have some nice bass, but you got to fish it earlier in the year before the algae takes over. Thanks for stopping by.
8:24 i think that is a crocodile😅😂
Haha, yes, its about the same size. Thanks for watching.
