    I only made it to the rain tree and ran out of water. Out of shape it wasn't easy. Had to go on a Hot day though, 116 degrees that day.

    Have you done the South loop trail as well? Which one is more difficult ?

    • @ranthony
      @ranthony 7 лет назад +1

      shaughnessy brett I have done both, I prefer south loop slightly but they are both pretty equal on elevation and distance and great views on both. If you can spot a car, go up one and down the other to get the full experience.

      Rick Anthony Thanks for the quick response and your input. I'm trying to determine how long this may take to do an out and back via trail canyon and North loop. What kind of pace did you move at? How long did this take you ?

      shaughnessy brett you should plan on it taking a full day, it's about 16 miles round trip with 4500 feet of elevation gain. It took about 8 hours at a normal pace with breaks and time at the top.

    Is the oxygen short up there like in Denver??

    • @ranthony
      @ranthony 7 лет назад

      Johnny Virga yes. The peak is just under 12k feet so oxygen is less than lower elevations.

    I heard there's a huge pit dug out at the peak. Camp there for the night & hike down in the morning??

    • @ranthony
      @ranthony 7 лет назад

      Johnny Virga yes there is a large area dug out to hide from the wind that you could pitch a tent in.

      😂😂 camp up there and you'll be lucky not to be blown into bits by a lightening strike. You don't camp on peaks.
