WOW 1971 HemiCuda Convertible SS/E

This is part one of an interview done on Friday, July 12 at the Carlisle #chryslernationals Chrysler Nationals in Pennsylvania with legendary #dragracer Herb McCandless and Sox & Martin team co-owner Buddy Martin. Also making its debut here is the just-restored original "Boycott Car", a former factory 383 #plymouth 1971 Cuda convertible upgraded into a 426 Hemi drag racing-only Super Stock E-stick #racecar. This #superstock #classracing machine was due to the #nhra #prostock boycott enacted by Chrysler in 1974 due to NHRA rules adjustments. Incredible paint by Travis 'Tuki' Hess. Yes they were. The '71 Cuda was scaled exactky within a pound of the SSEA break. It was never revealed if Ralph Truppi worked with Greg X and Darwin to.ensure the LS6 number was deliberately tight on the Chevy. I wrote an extensive story on this for Ro McGonigal at Elapsed Times.
