These were awesome keyboards. We made a band based around one of these. We were called Sesame street gangsters. It was a lot of fun and making beats and music on this machine was super easy and satisfying. Our band was doing well we opened up for Techn9ne at CenturyLink field and another venue I can no longer remember for new years eve concerts. And then it all fell apart in the blink of an eye.
No disrespect to anybody but, why's everyone so down on his attire? The video wasn't about his choice of shirts or slacks, etc.....You guys are on the wrong review for clothing. This review is for the Roland JX-305 Synth.
This keyboard has a TON of sounds and this guy focused on the sequencing in this video. With modern DAWs, that is all moot. I still use my JX as the sounds are great foundations for further modifications using plugins though quite a lot are fine on their own. I use it for bass primarily, as it can produce some truly awesomely textured sounds. The drums are also reasonable though there are way better VSTs. Pads can be really interesting since you can layer sounds.
Hi, it can make sounds like synths used in song like purple rain or another old songs? And if it's not, d'you know which synth can i buy to make that vintage sounds without having to sell my house?
@@cashgarrett3507 It's called humour. Congratulations on your attempts to come across all serious though. The door is just behind you - don't worry about closing it, I'll lock up.

just listened to "twelve", pretty funny stuff lol
I had one of these in highschool and threw the dorm raves with it. Tons of fun everyone loved it.
This looks like early 90s, there's still 80's flavor in this ad. Close to 2000's this flavor was gone. Thanks for the upload!
RUclips is the most hilarious place of the universe: A goatee airy guy in an oversize 90’ goalkeeper shirt just appears and magic begin 🤣
Keep posting these ! they're awesome .. so old school.
"I'm always searching for fat poly synth patches too and the JX comes through." - Rock Player Guy
13:06 I'm sure you do buddy! Your shiny shirt and leather pants kinda gave that away already :D
Having grown up during this time, I don't recall anyone walking around looking like this.
tjs6025 Neither have I, apart from the few that liked reaching for knobs to get "an instant result".

That's amazing
@@cashgarrett3507 this isnt a review, this is an advertisement from the mid 90's. much different
Thanks for posting! This was my 1st sequencer!
13:53 "The JX 305 is the keyboard I need for my kind of music."
this is even better than the 80s Benz sales training video yt is recommending to everyone!
This promo is from 1998.
damn thought it was 89
This 1998 is from promo .

11:25 Heavy!
I remember the days when extra large shirts were cool...I was a little kid :).

Hello, my name is Vince Lildicka
THE FUTURE IS NOW, or at least that's what 90s clothing screamed.
green satin V-neck T-shirt with leather pants...he's from his own era.
Oh, I thought he was showcasing the Roland and not his choice of attire.
You're him, aren't you.

this may increase the price of JX305 in auction ;)
Should make a plugin ad in this style 💯
"I love that I can reach for a knob and get an instant result" you should see a doctor about that.
Hey, I have the same shirt. His is too tight though.
Great piece of kit, I don’t care what anybody says.
Ive never heard of this guy or seen him perform anywhere.
I guess you don't go to many Bar Mitzvahs.
Dat shirt is phat!
hahaha
Awesome Synth!!
Oh the scratch sounds what where they thinking..
This shit is better than top tier standup comedians!
Maybe they’ll do a boutique version!
What's funnier than this vid is how high people try to sell them for online.
That keyboard is vicious, tho. My beats didn't sound anything like these, however.
I can't even get mine to play after turning it on. The guy showed me but he went too fast as if something was off about the instrument
9:25
I think he used an R instead of the C he meant to use.
tonee mc guire is also the star of my videos!
so long explains of how to use inner computer. but, that what I wanted to watch is what kind of sound does it make.
If the pause after a sententence is a bit too long, it's probably a lie.
"That's why I use a 305 .. .. Ups. I lied."
I hate keyboards at that time with those little lcd screen's as I would have paid the extra for a larger screem
"With, RPS, real time phrase sequencing, I add or mix in instrument sequences on the fly." = It has a looper. Ah the 90's. A simpler time. Lol.
Can someone sell me working 4mb card $100 after shipping.
And working display replacement part(s)? $150 after shipping. I have 4 rows dead pixels.
the 3rd guy was all the way for the scott stapp look
Shiny shirts and leather pants. Larvely.
Tony Maguire, also known as Almost Spider-Man.
Microscope editing because you will need a microscope to edit it.
Leather pants and a green T shirt lol
That's Corinthian leather my man... #djrtnyc
It's basically the keyboard version of the MC-505.
harsh strings, cheap pianos, unconvincing 303
but convenient all in 1
Jeezus what a hideous intro
Wow these songs are terrible
