The mountains are the roads up in the Great Smoky Mountains - Moonshiner 28, Wayah Road, Tail of the Dragon, The Cherohala Skyway and Hellbender are the main hot spots that drivers love to experience when visiting The Smoky Mountains.
But hey those are the roads most people know about, I love discovering and sharing the less known roads and hidden gems that the Smokies have on offer.
The Great Smoky Mountains is a mountain range rising along the Tennessee-North Carolina border. The Smokies are a subrange of the Appalachian Mountains, and form part of the Blue Ridge Physiographic Province. Established as a national park in 1934, this is the most visited national park in the United States, with over 11 million visits per year.
