I revisit this Wordlock combination bike lock yet again because a commenter (Alan H) from one of the other videos pointed out something that makes the "gates" easier to detect. Alan H is very good and figuring out how things work. Here is his youtube channel: ruclips.net/channel/UCUoGH46iNmbjonx0EvC1V9g Here are my other videos decoding this lock: ruclips.net/video/4oreJVu0WaE/видео.html ruclips.net/video/hn_2o-h3YgI/видео.html ruclips.net/video/XQ3QyrtO3d8/видео.html
I have been through TONS of videos trying to get my lock open and I was down to trying EVERY combination. I had already been all the way around with all three of the right hand wheels on one letter on the left. UGH!!! I just happened to scroll down on Google and saw this video and had my lock open in about 20 seconds!!!! Thank you SOOOOOO much!!!
Oh I'm so glad the video was helpful! Will done for getting it open! Thank you for your kind comment. Hopefully the video will appear higher in the search algorithm in future. Have a great day!
I don’t ride my bike much anymore, but I used to use this exact lock to lock my bike up when I rode to a local convenience store. Now that I know a 5 minute video taught me to break into it in less than 20 seconds, I don’t think I’ll use that lock anymore if I start riding again! Thank you for this video!
Skimmed the video, tried it. No luck. Went back and read comments then watched it paying attention. Had the lock open 1st try. Sliding the wheels to the left and slowly rotating till it locked in on each one worked for me. Thank you sir.
Thank you for an excellent primer! I have two of these locks and was convinced that I was experiencing Alzheimer's as I was positive that I knew the combination yet it did not work. I used your method step by step and upon rotating the rightmost dial once I arrived at what I knew the last letter was supposed to be the shaft did in fact come out about 1/4 of an inch! It turns out that due to being exposed to the elements the mechanical parts inside were either corroded or oxidized to the point where it would not freely move. A little bit of WD-40 and some fidgeting and the lock is good as new! Not that it's a terribly expensive lock that I couldn't have replaced, I just do not like wasting anything, nor do I like to spend money if I don't have to. Thanks again for an excellent detailed video.
Thank you for the nice feedback, and well done on figuring things out and getting it into working order! Yea so many things are thrown away these days. Cheers :D :D
OMG, it worked. Bought a lock years ago and the lock came with a password that was an error and it was not able to set it to open because the dials did not have the letters. Your video opened the lock. The key is pulling each dial to left! Instructions said IT was SHED and today it opened on TREE. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!
Bought an old bicycle recently that had one of these locks around the top tube. Seller did not know the combination. No worries, with this video I had it open in about 20 seconds. Never picked a lock before either!
DUDE Thank you!!! i have been trying to open my old lock for AGES. No one ever said to pull the discs to the left!! Are you serious?! 😂😀 I watched you do it and in less than 30 seconds i opened it! i feel like a movie star lmaooo
Glad to see you back again with a new video. I will have to see if this Wordlock is available in the US. Nice technique from Allen and a great video from you.👍🦊
Thank you Mr Fox! It may work on other bike locks where the "wiggle" method can be used (like I used in my video 10), because in those locks the wheels have more sideways movement when in a gate. Cheers mate. :D
Nice expo on the bike lock. Now i know how many bike locks i need on my bike while i shoot into the bottlo for 60 seconds to grab a slab. Have a good one:-)
LOL let's see ... 3 x 20 s = 60 seconds, so you need 3 of those bike locks. :D I've never heard of "slab" before, but I somehow know you mean something like a 6 x 4 pack of beer cans? Cheers Paul :D :D
Found lock in trash. Looped the cable over my foot for tension and very quickly discovered the combination. With that said, might use the cable to hang up my garden hose.
Hello my friend! Cool video and great idea from Alan. Never entered my mind to try a technique such as this one. Thank you for sharing! And please stay safe.
Hey Bronxie mate, I hope you are well and dodging viruses. This virus seems to be easily underestimated. Yep Alan is one smart dude and I must try it on other bike locks. Thanks for stopping by and commenting mate. :D
Awesome info as usual. Good that Alan helped out this one.👍 On another note, sorry for losing contact with you.🙄 I was meaning to get back to you. Have you by chance sent me some challenge locks ages ago?🤔
Thank you and I'm glad to see you back :D :D Yep Alan is a smart dude. I never sent you anything sorry. I don't have challenge locks either as I'm not at that level yet. :D Again nice to see you back - you've always been so encouraging with my videos right from ages ago. Hope you are doing well.
I’m starting to think my family superglued it shut. I got my bike back from them after years and I always had the wheel locked to the frame.. It’s now just on the frame and even the 9,999 tries didn’t work.
If it moves slightly then it won't be glued shut. Yea it's the worst thing when you go through all the combinations and it doesn't open. Make all the numbers are in line and not half way between two numbers. More likely the lock is broken rather than glued shut. Also check out my two SPGOOD recent videos for two different methods to get in
I found this same lock on my stuff and I just forgot the password but every letter makes a clicking sound and the wheels are tight together unlike your lock, maybe I have a fixed version? Could you help me cracking it?
my lock is SOOOO screwed up that ive watched 5 VIDS tried EVERYTHING and yep. NOT a DAMN thing worked!. any suggestions folks? HELP! work thing is that have put the cable around my tire, so NOW I can ever RIDE that damn THING!! GRRR. and yes MINE is a VERY OLD cable WORDLOCK. as PART of the KEY part of if is in the HOUSING, and now is JAMMED inside.
damn, i need to buy a new bike lock, LOL! when i bought it I though only 4 digits, that won't be hard for a determine thief to break, but 20 seconds!?!?!? this lock is crap.
I'm afraid you're right ... people should know these locks aren't secure, because there are quite a few thieves who already know this method (and other methods that work too). Cheers!
If all the numbers click, maybe you're using too much tension? Is your one the same lock as mine? Or your might be more similar to the one in my video 61?

Thanks to you for pointing out the new insight! :D :D

THANK YOU so much, there were many videos in the Internet but your technique has finally helped me to open my 10 years old lock. Cheers!
Brilliant! Thanks for letting us know. Have a great day!
This was just what I needed! Had an old lock and no one knew what the word was and with 3 mins of the video, I figured it out 😂 thx !
That's excellent! Well done on getting it open 😜😜
I’ve gone through 5 different videos and this one finally did the trick, thank you so much for posting this!
Excellent! I'm so glad it helped. Well done for not giving up!
Same!
worked like a charm, got my lock off my old bike, and set it to what I thought I had it set to about 6 years ago, now I can reuse it!
Excellent! Well done getting it open :D :D

I wonder if this could be my problem because I swear I spent over an hour doing the 9,999 possible combos.
couldn't remember the code for my old bike lock. Watching this video helped me figure it out. Thank you!

Excellent new information on how to decode this lock. Great demonstration, thanks for sharing, cheers
Thanks matey - hope you are well. Cheers :D
I can't believe I cracked mine using this method... Thx a million

Thank you so much, I just bought a bike and the owner didn't remember the code, now it back to the game \o/
Well done! :D :D
Thanks mate...I'd forgotten the combo for mine which ive had for years...using this method i cracked it in about 15seconds.
Woohoo! 15 seconds is fast! Congratulations for getting it open ... it's a nice feeling when it suddenly opens, right? :D :D

Actually worked for me!
Excellent!
There is no gap for it to move in mine. What can i do?
hmmm try wearing glove to get more grip, and if still no good then try a different method, like ruclips.net/video/Rn_Q3zWQhCY/видео.html
I found this same lock on my stuff and I just forgot the password but every letter makes a clicking sound and the wheels are tight together unlike your lock, maybe I have a fixed version? Could you help me cracking it?

@@Swynndla Thanks, I'm trying this method but It seems like I need practice haha my fingers hurt after a while
@@arturo3564 Yes my fingers hurt doing it too ... take lots of breaks, and come back to it the next day etc. Good luck!
I have a question? How do close it like how it look like that? Because ik my password but it dosent fully closed and I would like to know how :(

Hmmm last resort is to cut it off with some wire-cutters or bolt cutters (or something similar).
Did not work for me.. they all make the clicking sound for every letter when I turn
Hmmm it might be a different model of the lock I had. Some of my videos show the "indirect" method and you could try that?
This method worked for me, about 5 mins
