Honestly I would have probably made the same exact call the hand made no sense the way that guy was playing it and curiousity would have got the best of me also the pot was 40k and he went all in for 18k so it’s good odds don’t need to be right all the time. Great call Mariano

Too tired to be funny or irreverent - just "Wow, that was some serious poker with some weird hands." And importantly, Mariano, you get that the excitement in poker is not cards on their backs, flipping for $500k. It's when you're trying to figure out if you're good 25% of the time when mere mortals would have folded long ago. That's what makes your sessions and vlogs so good.

That call with 3rd pair is insane. I don't know how you did it. I am really not even sure if it's a good call. It's an obvious deviation. I mean, he has the absolute perfect hand to be bluffing you with. Ac to block the flush, and Q to block the straight. You kind of disrespected him there tbh. You should probably send a Christmas card and a nice gift. lol
One small recommendation by boy, the commentary of how the hand ends up playing out, if it can come either at the same time or a second after we see the cards would be better, when you tell us before we see it kind of kills the thrill(for me at least) anywho keep it up!!
Goes back to what Tom Dwan told Phil Galfond: bluff with hands when you have something as well...especially in spots where it's obvious you have something.

Vivian, playing over ONE THOUSAND BBs DEEP, checking that q10 on the flop AND the turn (turn check the really big mistake imo).... and then paying off Mariano's river 3b when he can never really be bluffing, as like 14 people got to the river for free. She doesn't even beat the 56, which is extremely possible after everyone checked both the flop and turn. Some (most?) of these players couldn't beat the 2/5 game at my local casino...

If she chooses to raise that river (after everyone gets there for free and can have any two cards) calling your 3 bet is …extremely ambitious. Essentially hoping you turned something completely random into a bluff in a pot that not a dollar went into on the flop or turn, and why would you randomly bluff her so multi-way when her raise makes it clear she has a 10 (or 56) 🤷🏻♂️ Anyways I hope you don’t banish me from viewership of your channel lol. I'm too lazy to watch the video again to confirm if Mariano said this in his analysis, but I suspect he felt that a hand as strong as KQcc would have check-raised all in on the turn. It had only the smallest amount of showdown value, but tons of equity. Seems like a great candidate to bluff shove (assuming stack depths were reasonable for such a play.)
