at 22 sec the problem answer should have been 30. if we consider younger as "x" and elder is 20 years more than younger means elder is "x+20" 10 years ago elder one is twice of younger means, (elder-10)=2(younger -10) elder= "x+20" and younger "x" currently so, 10 years ago : ((x-20)-10) =2(x-10) which gives x=10 years and elder =x+20=10+20=30 according to me.

x+8=1/2(y+8) we can cross multiply 2 to L.H.S 2(x+8)= 5x/2 + 8. here taking common denominator as 2 for both 5x and 8. so already 5x has denominator 2 so to get 2 as denominator for 8 we have to multiply it by 2 so it becomes (8*2) 16. then it will appear as 2x+16=(5x+16)/2. then cross multiply 2 to L.H.S we get, 4x+32=5x+16 5x-4x=32-16 x=16
