Hello Steve, mothers are special, and there is nothing worse than watching them suffering with health challenges, when you add the cruelty of gradual memory loss to it and the emotional suffering it brings with it iboth for them and the family that loves them, it makes it doubly hard. Sending you and your family condolences and caring through this very difficult time,

I never really know what to say during times like this, but I just want to say we're here for you always.
I believe it takes time: to mourn, reflect, and persevere.
You may know that your mother is now resting peacefully elsewhere and that you'll cherish the memories that you've had together as mother and son.
I don't think anyone truly "gets over it", but we learn to move on for the others in our lives.

My heart felt condolences Steve on the loss of your dear mother. Mine has been gone for 30 years and I still think about her every day.
And as usual, the shoes are incomparable. You never fail to amaze with your skills, and amuse with your wit.
My condolences, Steve. I am constantly aware of the passing of time and our mortality, and the fact that my mum is also getting up there in years. Actually haven't seen her in person in about five years as I've been living and working in South Korea, but it's because of her advancing age that I feel as if it may be time to move back to the states soon. Much love to you and your family during this time, and please know that it's totally okay to not be your normal chipper self. I, and I'm sure every one of your loyal viewers, totally understand.
Steve I lost my dad in 2025. I feel your pain. Those we love never leave us fully, they’re there in certain mannerisms, phrases, jokes and expressions the rest of us have. When we had Christmas Day meal, I said , “alright, in lieu of grandad, who wants to say grace”. There was a pause and everybody said very loudly and in unison “grace!!!” and then we all broke off in laughter. It was one of his little puns and it keeps him alive.

Dear Steve, the loss of a loved one is one of the hardest hits in our lives. I lost my dad this past July. One thing that has helped me deal with his passing is remembering the good times and the lessons he taught me. I am truly sorry for your loss but I am sure that she will live on in your memories. Sorry for your loss Steve, … lost my dad too after a battle with covid for 3 months. Sometimes the most humane thing is to let go of them, is life worth the suffering and loss of dignity. Learnt it the hard way. May God comfort you and your family.

At least she's at peace now and doesn't have to go through it anymore. You've had an awful time the last couple of months, I hope life improves for you from here on. So sorry for your loss sending love and hugs to you and your family. I lost my mum 18 years ago and I still think about her and speak to her every day as if it was the first. The grief doesn't get easier you jus get used to not seeing them or talking to them. My dad passed away 2 years this month and i still get days were I'm not my cheerful self but that's okay. You are allowed to have those days. There is no right way or wrong way to grief just your way. Sending love and prays to you and your family at this sad time. You only have to close your eyes and both your mum and dad will always be there for they will always live in your heart. I’m so sorry for your loss, Steve. I lost my mum to vascular dementia aged 73. She had quite a nasty stroke and just went downhill . She was not only suffering but it was breaking my dad’s heart, seeing her as dependant and incontinent etc. Although we all miss her like crazy we are so relived she is no longer suffering as it was always a fear of hers after she nursed her own mother with dementia 😪 God bless your family, I pray for healing and peace for you all this year.

By the way i works fo my brother shoe repair for 8 years in morocco you remained me for my self the way you taking for your customer when i left shop my brother lost all customer ireal love to give you hand but your shop very far way
