1:18 The Double Item box in my opinion is actually a cover up.
In any other Mario Kart EXCEPT 8, if you were to hold down the “L” button when using an item, it would put the item behind you and empty your Item box, so that you could grab another item. But in 8, even if you do this, it still considers the item in your “box”, and you can grab another. I think it was an oversight on MK8’s behalf.

The new courses are definitely worth the money ! It's so much fun and the new quirks they added to some tracks like Kalamari desert made the first play such a fun surprise !
