Duck Laap Leads The Way || Yasoton (Esaan) Food in Fang TONIGHT!

Fang is a district in Chiang Mai province, about 150km north of the central town (capital city, Chiang Mai). A wonderful surprise tonight finding ESAAN food, a menu that my parents also recognize (and enjoy!) - thank you so much for the comments and support.

จริงๆแล้วคนอิสานจริงๆเขาจะมีเมนูที่จะกินมิคกันค่ะ คือถ้ามีเมนูลาบหรือก้อย แล้วจะไม่มีอาหารประเภทตำหรือซุปมาเพิ่มอีก มันจะทำให้ตัดกันคือรสชาดจะมีแต่เผ็ดแล้วจะทำให้กินอาหารไม่เยอะ ต้องมีเมนูแกงอ่อมและปิ้งย่างเพิ่มอาหารถึงจะได้กลมกล่อมจากคนอิสานกาฬสินธุ์ค่ะ

Love these short videos. Confused at 1st with "Laab Issan, I'm way up here in the North!" OK. Up in Fang! There's a Lanna style Laab Pbet stand in San-Pa-tong, on the way to the Buffalo Market. There seems to be a "Duck Zone" that starts south of Chiang Mai that has all kinds of good Pbet dishes, Even Khao Soi Pbet in Baan Kat/Mea Wang!
