Sermon #05. “The Subject of Christian Ethics Is Not Easy”

When I thought about this subject some months ago, I really had no idea how a series of messages on “Christian Ethics” would take shape. Now that I am in the middle of the series, I have no idea how a series on “Christian Ethics” will take shape. I have learned that this is a complicated issue, and that there are many beliefs or systems that are held by different people. So, my task as your pastor, is to try to search the Scriptures as I engage with different perspectives in order to help all of us discover as best we can the genuine article, and it has not been easy….
Let’s begin with some foundational issues as we seek the best understanding of what it means to be a Christian living out the ethics of our situation.
