Superfish SA spent 2 days at Spioenkop Dam. The initial plan was to venture into the dam's mouth but unfortunately due to a faulty drain plug, the boat had taken on a concerning amount of water. Due to this, the game plan had changed, to conventional bank angling. Fortunately the fish were on the bite!

Awesome video guys. 1st outing, fished that same spot before over 3 nights, the juveniles are full up there. Not a single reel run and nothing over 500g.

You guys should of used the carp heads for barber. There is huge barber in that dam. Worked in Winterton for 8 years. Caught big barbers there with carp or scally heads. There is huge carp to, but unfortunately to many small fish.

Thanks for the comment. We did try the carp heads as well as fillets, unfortunately the rods sat without a bite for the whole trip. We will definitely be back to give the barble another go!
