Been playing on controller my whole life but had a PC for the last 18 months so finally making the switch. This video had been the most helpful out of all the ones I've seen so thankyou :)
been playing on PS forever. Just tried out MnK in csgo on my laptop. Using the keyboard was such a struggle but I was impressed by the precision and reaction time of the mouse. Like the aim is way better synced up with the brain, the feedback loop between eyes and aim is so much faster.
This was a very good video, thanks. It provides real info, not a click bait title, self plugs, merch pushes, and finally ten minutes of info and 1 minute of stuff people already knew. This should be an in game tutorial for new kbm players.
One of the best thorough explanations in this niche situation. I've moved from xbox to a beastly 3070 ti pc but struggling to dub on apex. This is very helpful
@@goon5653 I have the same question for you. I’ve played pc games in the past but finally got enough for my own build and I’ve been playing for a few days maybe a week now. I’m definitely seeing improvement, just curious how it goes over months time span.
You know what I've been on m&k went into firing range for over a hour went into a game and got 4 kills one of the best underrated tips was to keep the mouse in the same spot and don't drag it to much brilliant video
Thanks calamiti and u did this vid at the right time, cause i just switched 4 days ago and u are my favorite player so i copied your settings and hopefully i can be an arcstar king too
I always use to think I couldn’t pick up my mouse and re center it but now that u just enlightened me with this god video I will for certainly grind my ass off on mnk
Waiting for the part 2. I just switch to pc myself from being on console from day one. It’s a bit of an adjustment and having someone like u make these kinds of videos are really helpful. Look forward to the future vids and hope for your channel to grow as you do them💯💯💯
For me the biggest challenge when I try M & K is my movement suffers. Aim & quality of life goes up, but I'm so much better with my movement on controller. And my movement is definitely my strongest quality
I bought a tartarus pro a wile back that has a thumbstick you can bind the movement keys onto. Haven't tried it yet as my Build just arrived a couple of days ago. But I am in the same boat. I just can't get my mind around wasd and don't really want to be garbage at the game for the last year of it's life cycle.
@@bqproductions7448 so I use the Tartarus regularly for most of my games (Apex included) and here's the thing: It feels soooo much better than using a keyboard HOWEVER it is not as easy doing movement techs like tap strafing (specifically this tech is hardest since it can be a bit difficult to lay off the stick, Tartarus requires you to have fairly big hands,) anything that requires a sudden directional change can be difficult. But in general moving with it does feel more comfortable, most likely due to being able to have a limp hand on it since its really ergonomic.
How are you running 100+ fps? I’m new to pc and I’m only running around 20 fps. I’m not entirely sure what the specs are on my pc. Would love to know how to improve that
I need help how do you have the option keyboard and mouse and controller in your options I want to switch my input device from controller to knm (keyboard and mouse) please someone explain
Just got a beastly gaming pc in and was thinking about sticking with my elite controller but this video is making me reconsider again. I don't want to become a low to average player though. How long did it take for your skills to get on par with controller? I love movement techniques and I know that no matter how much I master on the controller it will never be on par with m/k. I do have a tartarus pro though to help with the transition and am considering keybinding the thumbstick to wasd for movement. This would also free up my fingers to use less commands and make the transition smoother.
did u switch or play hybrid or anything? I have an elite controller and i wanna get a gaming pc, but idk if i should just get a laptop for school and stay on console, or switch to pc
@@owendaughney9243 Yeah I actually did make the switch but instead of keyboard I use a keypad with a joystick you can control with the thumb and mapped my directional movements to it. My biggest challenge was the wasd movement so I just eliminated it all together. Even still it took me a solid couple of months for everything to be second nature but I am better at the game (apex legends) now than I ever have been in the past. It was totally worth it for me and going forward but I am not going to lie, I was hot garbage for the first week or 2 and still struggled at times for over a month because I had to think about all my button presses. The keypad I use the Tartarus Pro and love that thing.
As far as sticking with consoles or buying a gaming rig that really depends on your budget but the option to play at high frame rates is really a game changer to me. I have a 360 hz monitor and play Apex between 240 and 300 for the most part. But I can also switch to my oled and play 4k at 120hz which is also pretty crazy. There are pros using elites and scuffs on PC so you can certainly compete with a controller, especially in the games that have aim assist. When I tried to play Apex on my Series X dropping back down to a solid 60fps actually still seemed really choppy to me and was making me motion sick. It was like the switch between DVD and Tape back in the day. At first you thought it was better and knew it looked a lot better but was always like is it really all that. Than after a long time watching dvds going back and watching something on tape just looks and feels terrible. The new consoles are pretty good though so I feel like a PC for gaming is only worth it if your going pretty big.
I see almost everyone using the same mouse you do in playing Apex on kbm. Is the Logitech the best mouse to use for Apex? I was going to buy me a Steelseries mouse for Apex.
my prob is that i keep pressing the W key the whole time so instead of AD Strafing its more like a WAD strafe and i keep getting beamed plus using the S key is tuff asf too
My friend just switched to m & k recently, he said it makes the game more enjoyable, almost like you’re relearning apex over again. What were your first reactions to switching?
I want to play on keyboard and mouse but i cant i dont know why i play on my laptop with my conttroler it works great but with my keyboard and mouse it works but then i have a lot of lag
