See what SwillinGrog thought of "OE 800" the second time around.
I have recently heard Olde English is going back in glass 40oz bottles here in the states.Great review!!Im so glad miller is going back to glass 40s!!!Cheers!!!
I love that you got the hat and OE shirt
Thanks, mate.
I picked up a few truckers hats with the exact logo as the hat on a matching maroon-brown t-shirt. Definitely the classic go-to malt licka that gets you drunk quicka.
Btw, the hats and shirts where on sale a Target, USA.
I was very disappointed about the difference in taste between glass and plastic 40oz bottles. I know longer buy 40oz and now have to buy cans of O E
I love these beers, I absolutely hate that I always get nasty looks buying this like I’m a bum looking for my next beer
Iconic drink in Hip-Hop.
The Supervillain props to the DOOM profile pic. been listening to doomsday on repeat in my truck for like 2 weeks now haha :D
Same, but Vaudeville Villain and MM.. FOOD
It’s benders favorite
Olde English 800 never disappoints. Every variant I've had was quite delicious and refreshing.
+Stephen Malturin It certainly does have that quality about it.
Great Videos-I enjoy this beer from time to time.
Pour in a glass
Just went to the store like I do every weekend for some OE 40s.
Turns out Olde English now has the 42 Oz bottles and has a strip that says "Cold when Blue".
Haha... yes, I saw that recently.
This is in Fountain Inn, South Carolina
I'm not even sure they carry 40 oz OE any more, seems like they have switched over completely
Its odd that Olde English is now in 42 ounces in a weird half soda bottle bottom/shatter proof head. Hopefully they get to glass soon since they finally put mickeys back in a glass bottle.
I don't think it'll be too much longer until they do that.
Anthony Ibarra they still make em in plastic and glass.
One of the best M.L.s I enjoy every so often. The 7.5% I prefer to the HG 8.0% version. In Oregon it is now in plastic bottles. I actually found no flavor difference in the plastic vs glass. I usually buy the 24 ounce cans though. Good review S.G. I am glad you can get it in Australia.
+Stuart Fitzsimons Thanks Stuart. I'd love to try the HG version.
I have had it. Not as good as the 7.5% version in my opinion.
I'm not a fan of the plastic at all but OLD E is very enjoyable otherwise.
I don't find that the plastic spoils the beer BUT they need to bring back the glass.
Good Revisit SG. I enjoyed the can you sent me years ago, bolder flavour then the other imports.cheers mate
+Gez Lawson Thanks mate. Hoping more ML brands show up here in 2016. I will get bottles for you.
Colt .45 is still sold in a glass bottle where I live
Luv to see a nice chug! Real review
Good stuff! Cheers!
+MrRainer009 #3 Thanks for watching!
Love this brew I'm torn between it and Mickeys malt liquor
+Wayne Banks Yeah, they're both excellent.
+SwillinGrog most definitely love this brew
I like everything but the plastic. We can still get pint cans and 18-oz. glass bottles, at some places, here.
+Ronald Theriot I'd be more than happy with the cans.
Cans are linned with plastic so canned beer is stored in plastic
Michael Smith no they aren’t
I just pour in glass
Nice video
Where can I get the merchandise from
Ebay or the Miller website
picked up two OE800 40's yesterday and i was taken aback by the plastic bottle...i just couldn't help but laugh. BUT i would be lying if i didnt say it tasted better than i remembered.
+justin M The plastic hasn't hurt the taste.
boycott those plastic pieces of shit, if you do buy them be sure to litter them every chance you get. Thanks for the review!
+Jaden Alias Thanks for watching and commenting mate. Cheers!
I believe they do taste the same, its just that with the plastic bottle's, you get that different feel than the glass. But i bet if you poured the plastic 40 into a glass 40, It would taste just as you remembered.
But they do need to bring the glass back!
Agreed!
Drinking one now. Cheers
Cheers!
It was ok.. I miss the glass bottles tho
PM on the way, it looks so good I got to have one.
+microteche You will enjoy it mate.
+microteche It is a surprisingly good beer, even my mom who hates alcohol liked it. It's hated on in Los Angeles for being a "bum beer", although it is one of the last true legacy beers still being brewed in the USA. Overall the best bang for your buck in L.A.
What in comparison does it taste like? I prefer the Carlton Draught taste myself, I'd just like to know what it's (or any 40) comparable to.
How'd you get this in Australia?
From here mate - beerstore.com.au/shop/beers/international/olde-english-40oz/ They should have some more stock in about 2 weeks.
Why poor it in a glass, do you know how hard it is to find an old engish glass
Cheers big ears !!!!
+Offtap unscripted Cheers mate!
Are you able to close it up and drink it an other day or do you need to throw it out if you don't drink it all?
I suppose. I wouldn't leave it too long though.
Is it a Lager or Beer
hate them new bottles:(
+Daniel Dillon Glass is way better.
SeillingGrog what you got on my 40?
what are the best Australian beers? besides FOSTERS lol
+Carlos Padilla Most Aussie Stouts are superb. In terms of lagers though, XXXX, Victoria Bitter, Toohey's and Carlton Draught are hugely popular.
plastic bottles!?? are they serious!?? man, that's a shame!!
Where in Australia did you buy OE 800 from?
From here mate - beerstore.com.au/shop/beers/olde-english-40oz/
Cheers mate! i already bought some Colt 45 in the 40oz bottle. Great review by the way.
Only the Westcoast OE is 7.5 ABV................ You are drinking the 5.9% ABV Olde English..........
I know that you are drinking the East Coast Version because The Olde English is still in glass in the West Coast Version.......
Cheers Either way
+PopsicleMan313 It said 7.5% on the bottle.
realllly???
+PopsicleMan313 Yup.
+SwillinGrog Glass is no more on the westside, all plastic 40's now, last glass bottle I was able to get was last October. Even the local homeless guys complain, the glass keeps it colder longer, the plastic doesn't seem to affect the taste, although I'm sure over time the alcohol will dissolve some of the plastic eventually... Anyways, CHEERS! From Los Angeles, California!
damn :(
with pistol grips. lol
You can’t use the plastic as a weapon.
Yup. Heard that’s the reason but it’s bull. It’s a way to cut costs
Fuck i hate that they're in a plastic bottle now 😥
Yes, they need to go back to glass.
If you really want to do a good commentary on different beers don't forget to let people know what kind of s*** it's made with
I'm a plastic bottle!? 🤮
