Darren is from Canada and joined the voice kids in the Philippines seversl years back. His semifinal performance whitney houstons 'one moment in time was outstanding and his final performance ( he was a finalist) which was in tagalog was also phenomenal. . In most peoples opinion ncluding the judges he should have won. But it was based on public voting. Part of the reason he chose tagalog for the finals was because he was competing with a local performer lyca whos public favorite because of her background. Shes also talented but darrens vocals was far superior. Like the TNT BOYS. He became well known in the country despite of not winning the competition.

Darren and Morisette Amon had a concert last month in Sydney and Melbourne. By the way, this 20 October 2018, some of the best Filipino singers will be in Sydney for a 4-hr nonstop show. Darren, Morisette, Jay R, TNT Boys, Daryl Ong could be there.
I just watched your analysis a little late today, he did Fantasia's version and she does those runs at the end so he did that version she did on American Idol, on the I believe part at the end. Her version still makes me cry, his is beautiful and I love it, but hers was an inspiration back when I was a kid...
