Got these shoes recently, I have previously owned the melo m10, Kobe 8, hyperdunk 2012 and zoom soldier 7. I have to say, these KDs are easily the best shoe. The comfort, grip, weight and the appearance puts it over any other shoe. Great pickup.

my main concern with this shoe is the flywire.. im hoping that the flywire wont tear like it did in my hyperdunk 2013s.. the difference though is that you don't need the flywire to keep the hyperdunks laced up but they are completely necessary on this shoe.. durability is my only question..

MrCazman123 Leo Chang doesnt like to use them bc they flex awkwardly (which is true) and the rectangle units still cover the impact zone perfectly fine. As long as the foam used isnt hard as hell then I think its just fine. Its when they use that rock hard foam that makes it so you cant feel anything.
Nightwing2303 makes sense, I suppose since the foam is so nice I won't notice it after break in time. I was hoping that they would "decouple" the max zoom setup, kind of like the melo m8 but with the crazy responsiveness and spring of max zoom. Then they could use the same heel unit and stick a tpu shank in the middle. It would create a setup with flexibility and maximum cushion. That would be my dream shoe!
I just dont like the looks of these. I dont play basketball so I dont care about performance, but the only thing I like is the strap. I really cant get with the look. However, I said this about the Kobe 9's, and not only do I have a pair, Im drooling over them still and they might be my favorite looking shoe ever so... lol
