I was blown away by some earlier Anna performances but couldn't find many. Thrilled to see her playing with Ami and Juna. The Japanese jazz scene is incredible! Thank you to all the many wonderful jazz artists in Japan. The large number of amazing female jazz musicians in Japan make me sad and curious why America's jazz scene is so male dominated. (And some of "America's" best -- like Haruka Kikuchi and Erena Terakubo -- came here from Japan.)
I'm familiar with the other musicians in this video because of their youtube presence but this my second time watching and listening to Ms. Matsuoka. She's good!
Watching Ami play, makes me really appreciate 'wind' instruments..she makes it look like there's so much creative freedom there...and the music 🎶 seems to literally come out of one's body...the connection of the musician with a wind instrument seems so intimate..lol...thinking aloud..😅 🎷 ❤..
