Nice collection! That 1944 Netherlands Gulden is special. Notice the P on the right side of the coat of arms on the reverse. That signifies like most other silver Dutch coins of that date that it was minded in Philadelphia PA. We made many coins for other countries, including some Cuban gold peso coins, while it was still a U.S. protectorate.

The Red & Blue tokens are "Food Ration" Tokens from WW2. To control the amount of food one person was given so there is enough for everyone else.

Also check the 1859 canadian largeie. There are repunched dates and engraving varieties.

Wow thanks for those interesting bits of info! I had no idea that Gulden was minted in the US but I do see the mint mark now. I also didn’t realize the 1859 large cent has such an interesting history. I will have to take a closer look!

@lukerichcoins I neglected to also mention that the large cent was minted In London, UK! The RCM didn't come about until 1908, and some later coins are marked H for Heaton in Birmingham, UK.

Nice collection i am a bit suprised about the prices of those (non silver) European coins. Here in the Netherlands i buy those at like 6-8€ per kilo. I should deffinatly give some with friends next time i see them when they visit from usa haha

Thanks! I may have overvalued some of the coins in this lot, but the quality was significantly better than what I have found purchasing bulk lots of European coins on eBay.
