- Gotta love those kill grounds. This chapter was really hard but reaaally satisfying.
Fire Emblem: New Mystery of the Emblem ~Heroes of Light and Shadow~ for the Nintendo DS is the 12th Fire Emblem game, only released in Japan. It is a remake of Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem Book 2 (SNES) and a sequel to Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon (DS).

Little correction:
A heresy is a belief that isn't in accordance to the main belief.
Desecrating religious artifact is called Blasphemy.
As an example for heresies, during the reformation, the catholics regarded the protestants, anglicans and other reformed churches as heretics.
There were other earlier heresies that were brought down, like the Hussites, Cathars, Waldenesians, etc.
Yeah, I'd define heresy as the act of going against the (implicitly correct) established religious beliefs/authority. In regards to Mangs' 40k example, people are heretics because they are acting against the God-Emperor.
Blasphemy mostly refers to inappropriate or irreverent speech. It can be action or speech, like drawing graffiti that says "Jesus sux" on a church or walking into said church and claiming to be Jesus.
Correction to your correction: Blasphemy is more saying things like "God Damn it"

The way Starlight is just unceremoniously given to you in this game has always rubbed me the wrong way. Remember how Gharnef was a threat bigger than everyone else (except Medeus of course) and how the game effectively gave you a fetch quest in order to obtain a weapon that could even damage him? Then comes FE3 and he is mostly talked about rather than shown, and correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t even think Starlight is even mentioned before you visit the village with Michalis in it, and even then the more pressing matter of the conversation is that he’s dying as you talk, not that you can finally directly fight the evil wizard You just go to the village and Michalis is like “Do everyone a favor and throw this book at the old man, you know the one”.
Honestly in a way Gharnef was more of a threat in SD, since Medeus was basically Gharnef's puppet, since he literally couldnt harm Gharnef, but Gharnef definitely could harm Medeus. (Although with Imhulu it would take a bit, but I dont think Medeus knows Gharnef cant use the Falchion)
I think it's fine, since Michalis literally stole it from Gharnef after getting his ass kicked. Gharnef stole it because he knew itd be his only threat. (Apparently he doesnt know the power of seizing the throne, though in this game you REALLY want to kill Gharnef, since Tiki/Nagi can't do effective damage to him)
Brandon Daniels Also funny how in *ALL* of his iterations, Gharnef has to be dumb enough to get out of the Throne tiles in order to attack, allowing Marth to seize because details.
My biggest gripe is how FE1 tells you to work for Gharnef’s defeat and has you readily face the consequences should you fail in collecting the orbs. Conversely, FE3 has a village that gives you the tome out of nowhere, creating more of a “Good thing we have this, then” situation.
Starlight was the reason you have to collect all of the star shards, right? Creating the tome ruptured the starsphere. It's a good thing we canonically didn't deplete the Starlight tome in the first game, eh?
Wait, Gharnef is stupid. He could have just depleted the Starlight tome by killing squirrels or something.

'Shadow Dragon' is merely Medeus' title in FE1, FE3 Book 1 and 11. In FE3 Book 2 and FE12 he actually becomes a Shadow Dragon.

Blasphemy is more along the lines of mangs' definition of heresy. A heretic is one who doesn't believe in the religious norm of their region.
Yes, this definition is correct, can confirm as I studied a bit of theology (one of the hardest subjects ever) and so I read about the various heresies throughout history.
There is also that one random wyvern reinforcement that justs..........go to torch the village. What was Kaga thinking when he made the chapter?

Heresy, unlike what mangs said, is not just "a sin", it is a term used for someone who strayed from the canonical beliefs of a religion.
For a real word example, Catholics saw (technically still see, but today they are rather chill about it) Lutherans as Heretics, since they dont follow the Catholic Canon (aka The Popes wishes).
I think the Heretic Ingame is supposed to show that these are Priests who have started praying to Medeus instead of Naga, thereby being against the "normal" Priests

This map isn't too bad on Maniac because warp exists. Lunatic and L' , on the other hand, can be a pain because the enemies are really strong.
Also, I think that the sign of a good game is that it gets better the more you play it. When you continue to discover good things, it's probably a sign that the game is pretty good.
A heretic is someone who doesn't only sin, but also defies, insults or simply goes against a religion. in this case the heretics worship medeus, as opposed to naga.

on higher difficulties a good way to handle these guys while overextending is to kill the berserker on turn 1 with like a brave bow sniper or something and setup a sort a vertical/staggering wall of units. What this does is make it so there's a few areas where only one unit can be attacked or areas where only one wyvern can feasibly reach. For the latter you can put a unit like Etzel who gets orko'd but ohkos in return and for the former you can put a low defense unit that's high on enemy priority. That way you can both handle the zerker, the wyverns, all while overextending.

I know this is super late anyway but am I crazy or was Nourne supposed to be dead already from the wheel in a prior episode? I feel like the same 7 use Dutch blunt was used in her run in the dead grounds too. But idk I guess I could have missed something where that wasn’t actually a thing lol

"Quaff" means drinking something very exuberantly, I believe. I remember first seeing the word in a Terry Pratchett novel. Something about Dwarves quaffing their beer so hard that the dwarf behind them would end up drinking more of the beer than the quaffing dwarf himself.
