Great build I have a set of the plans I have a couple of questions on my plans I can't read the measurement on the front bottom slit how wide is the cut I can read 3 but I can't read the rest of it I know it has to be right also my plans are missing the picture of the metal holding the slit together on the bottom thanks for sharing keep up the good videos

Outlawflyer78 Pictures are fast because the video would be too long if they were slower ... maybe I could have make them go a bit slower. If you want to see the video at a lower speed you can adjust it on RUclips directly.For the music it realy comes down to what each person likes.
Nice job guy's but I hate to bust your bubble but thats not a hydroplane, it is called a skim jack. A hydroplane consists of 3 contact points. Thats why there called them 3 point hydro's. Nice job anyway...
My dad and I built one of these when I was a kid and I was interested in watching your Construction but I couldn't get past that horrible soundtrack you dubbed over it.
Why is it when guys post a video on here they seem to think they have to dub some kind of shity music over top of it? Get rid of the music so we can enjoy doing. Guys don't look at these videos for a concert they look at them for the content and to see what methods you use.

Did you bend the front pieces of wood slightly intentionally. Or is it all flat.

So slightly tentioned is fine for that particular wood. How the hell did the wood not break? I will try and build something like this one day.
Because i used 1/4 inch, so it can flex a bit.

you are propably right , but on the first image of the video you can read they call it a "spot hydroplane"
