Cream was originally scheduled to make her first appearance in Sonic Heroes, but it was decided that it would be better to establish Cream's character first, so she became a main character in Advance 2 and Sonic X.
I actually like Sonic’s voice best in episode 1 so I think it’s funny people say it started off bad. I also like Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Cream AND Eggman’s voices a lot in ep 1. lol

It’s kind of funny that people always talk about shadow swearing when all he says pretty much is damm which isn’t even considered a bad word to a lot of people but people always forget that Sonic has actually sweared and it was in front of cream no less.

No spoilers but while he is exaggerated by the fandom Chris does do some pretty annoying stuff later on. One egregious thing in particular but again not spoiling.
All I can say is, the reason why so many hate Chris is because they consider him so annoying and also because of how creepily obsessed he becomes with sonic… you’ll see what I mean when you reach episode 50
Imagine a fan following you around everywhere you go and constantly getting in the way and even getting jealous of other people getting your attention instead of them and one part in particular much later in the show he basically proves that he only thinks about himself to an extent and not the needs of everyone else. After that part though he does become more likeable but the show literally doesn’t need him to be there most of the time he’s basically just there to be the character that the kids watching the show can relate to.
Chris’ only purpose is to be the human ambassador. His personality is purposefully bland and basic so the audience can relate to him, and so he can be a perfect plot device, but he’s given the least relatable backstory. The only time he gets really useful is in season three, but he still wasn’t needed at all for it.
I hate to be a party pooper, but I highly recommend that you switch to the Japanese version. The English version is different from the Japanese. The English version has a lot of cut scenes and edited dialogue that make things confusing. The ending, especially in all the season finales are very different. The Japanese version wrap them up and a neat little bow and make you cry while watching. In the English version,You’re scratching your head with more questions than answers.
Oh dude, you gotta watch the Japanese version. Not only is it the uncensored version without any cuts, but pretty much everything about it is objectively better and much more in character. 4Kids dubbed this so if you've seen what they did to One Piece, they did almost as bad to this show.

The japanese version is complete, unfortunately the american version underwent some changes with cuts of scenes to make the story more "childish"
I think the worst example is how they somehow aloud the Maria stuff to still be shown to an extent and let it be implied that shadow died when he used chaos control but then later on ruined the scene where shadow avenges a certain someone by implying that that person didn’t get blown up.
I'm sorry, but i SERIOUSLY suggest you watch this in SUBS. 4KIDZ dubbed this anime, and they censored and cut out ALOT.
I know dub can be a very hard preference, but this anime is genuinely something you wont get the best experience with from dub. 4KIDZ treated this series like a children's show, and there's ALOT you're gonna miss out on.

You can definitely tell it’s Jason Griffith and the rest of the cast’s first go-round with the characters in these episodes. They all do improve over the series, helped by the fact that they started working as the games’ voice cast too.
Interestingly, I like their voices best in this episode.
Later on they mold it to their own thing which I don’t hate. I was satisfied with it. But it was definitely the 4kids/Sonic X version to me. So when they voiced in the games, I accepted it, but it never felt definitive. Until Unleashed where they really improved it.
The dub is nice yet the censorship is so horribly annoying and makes the show less interesting.
I recommend watching the japanese version but english is still good too

In other words, Chris is a Mary Sue. They could've at least made his parents adventurers that searched the world over for ancient artifacts that were sometimes cursed. And hey, maybe have his mother be missing. And then the show could have a huge subplot about Chris trying to find his mother.
Look, I fixed Chris' character, and I only had to reference Ducktales in 60 percent of what I typed.

There's a reason the kids in Digimon are so beloved as being some of the best written kid characters in a kid's anime. Even Mimi, who is also a rich character managed to get it right.
Being rich doesn't necessarily exclude him, but if he's rich make it a plot point. Where are the kidnappers waiting in the shadows to grab him and ransom him? That could be a great story arc. Have Chris get kidnapped and Sonic has to find him and get him back, and maybe he stumbles onto a bigger crime syndicate.

Yo, basically *Zero* youtubers have done reactions to this show and it’s so damn good, especially later on. Liked and subbed! My only recommendation for you is to go for the japanese version, if you’re willing.
The english dub has some fantastic talent, and i do love it, but unfortunately they shaved a ton off for censorship reasons, meaning the later seasons are *not* as great in english as they should be.
Not the end of the world, but i figured i should let you know if you’re interested in a better experience. Hope you enjoy it either way!

Ayy broski. This is one of my favorite shows as a kid fr. It definitely gets better over time, give it time. The show is legit hot fire. Especially with later seasons. Some people saying youll hate the humans, but honestly they aint that bad compared to some humans in these cartoons 😂
I would’ve 100% recommend the Japanese over the English cause it was unfortunately done for 4kids but I don’t even know where to watch the sub version anymore. I remember not being able to find a place to watch it from when I last tried to look for it.
But I do have another idea, there’s this RUclips channel called Hensama that has made a few videos called “How 4KIDS censored Sonic X” showing all the major differences between the dub and sub. A video for each saga so after you react to episode 13 is when you can see the first video of the playlist if you want to check it out. I believe in the desperation of his video it has what episodes he covers.

The last season is the one that you absolutely have to watch in Japanese. Even though I loved Cosmo's dub voice (kind of sounds a bit like Fluttershy, but with a slight accent), the voice direction was so bad in that season that entire episodes were completely butchered because of the changes that 4Kids made (especially with Molly).
I really wish there was a combination of both versions because I like the English voice acting and some of the sound effects they use in the dub but I definitely prefer the lack of censorship in the subbed version plus the music is definitely better and they don’t reuse the same background music every 20 seconds for the entire show 😂
@@oOSonicexeOo Not to mention the Japanese version has a tendency to know when scenes should be quiet and when the music should play. The dub often is just constant noise.
Plus, the Japanese version is the only version that uses Live and Learn. The dub omitting that song in the Adventure 2 arc is a capital offense.

All seasons are better in the Sub version in general. But the Dub is alright but just not as good.

Fun bit of trivia. Sonic X is the first time that Cream the Rabbit spoke. Also, you might want to switch to the Japanese version once you get to Season 3. While that season is technically filler, it introduces what is arguably the most beloved non-game character in all of Sonic, to the point where the Sonic fandom nearly twenty years later is still petitioning for her return.

Just some advice, you should watch the Japanese sub over the English version. The 4Kids version did mad censorship and if you know how bad their One Piece dub was, then you’d know this is horrible.
Also this was the start of the voice cast for the games from 2003 - 2009 but they were in their infancy here so they sound very off compared to later when they’re in games like Unleashed or Black Knight, especially Jason Griffith as Sonic AND Shadow and Mike Pollock as Eggman. They’re basically like what Kevin Conroy was for Batman but for Sonic, Shadow and Eggman.
If you want full experience,watch the original uncut japanese version with sub. I mean if you interested who will die in the Anime. The dub cut all out and or changed the dialogue.

Sonics speed within the game is endless. It has three layers.
Infinite speed, which Sonic used to ignore Shadow stopping time with Chaos Control.
Immeasurable Speed during Generations to restart his Multiverse.
Irrelevant Speed, when he can go faster than speed during Forces.
Most of the time, Sonic gets caught off guard when he is slow down or talking. Usually the speed of thought is 247 MPH, much smaller than the speed of sound at 740+ MPH.
I like to think that him running normally is him jogging or running at a casual speed of 300 but then his boost is him actually trying to go fast and break the sound barrier because even though the games never really show it accurately it is implied that the shock wave from his boost is him breaking the sound barrier.
@oOSonicexeOo I tend to go off on creator's implication or what is trying to be conveyed. It's quite easy since Sega was at the helm of Sonic X's story, but both the show and games have shown Sonic able to slip past Mach 1 on numerous occasions without the boost.
After finding the feat, Unleashed shows actually numbers with the SPD. Going Light-Speed Dash only rates a 396 SPD while a full-on Boost can get Sonic to 2,861, which is roughly 7.22x faster than his official movement at Light-Speed, nearly 800,000 Mach speed.
That is why trying to put numbers on Sonic is virtually impossible. He can just increase the cap of his speed at any time. Plus, Sega has said for Eggman's profile that Eggman uses the current data on Sonic to improve his Badniks, which also applies to Metal Sonic, whose profile mentions that Metal gets daily upgrades to compete with Sonic.

27:39 I think Tails sounds pretty cute in this show and in Sonic Heroes Sonic 06 and Sonic unleashed and I like Ashleigh Ball as Tails in Sonic Prime but Coleen O' Shaughnessey is and always will be my favorite Tails voice actress you can understand why a lot of people think he's a girl because he's always voiced by women just like Timmy Turner and Ben 10 are voiced by Tara Strong.

Cream was created for Sonic Heroes to be to Amy what Tails is to Sonic. Sega was so confident in her, she got even earlier appearances in Sonic Advance 2 and this show.
She was essentially the easy mode, as her chao Cheese made bosses a cake walk.
Compared to the more Western coded cast of the Sonic crew, Cream feels like someone Japanese coded, being extremely polite and using honorifics (replaced with Mr and Ms in the English version)

I'm currently on my first run with the Sonic franchise. I've watched the 2 live action movies, Sonic X, Boom and Prime, and am currently playing Sonic Frontiers.
It's hard to pick a favourite TV series, but I must say, watching Sonic X and Sonic Boom made Sonic Prime really fun to watch.

Think the reason why it is called Sonic X is because the word "X" could mean a lot of things like cross because Sonic is a crossing in a new world it's just a theory.
In the sonic series, the characters that are actually black is Sonic, Knuckles, Shadow, and some other characters
