True story. My secondary school English teacher, after quitting her job, became a cooking demonstrator in an afternoon variety show for women on TVB. One of the hosts of that show was 琴姐, My ex-teacher said 琴姐 was an extremely nice, kind, and down-to-earth woman. She had played a lot of mean and vicious women in old Cantonese movies. But in real life, she cannot be more different. In fact, she's the complete opposite. Even though she was so famous and had decades of experience in the business, she was very kind even to a complete newbie in the business who only had a short cooking demonstration (less than 15 min) in her show. It shows the kind of person she is. The late Leslie Cheung is also someone like that. He was kind to everyone, from the director to his co-stars and even just the most humble staff members in the production team. No wonder he's remembered so fondly by everyone.
