YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE TO SAVE YOURSELF. that was written on a bracelet I got as a teenager and it didn't fully sink in until recently for me. You can whine and cry about everything that's unfair in your life, about everyone who has wronged you, and sometimes you do need to rant. But, at the end of the day, you and only you have the power to change your situation. Scary? Yes! But also so freeing. Happy birthday Kelly
It definitely scares me but I don’t want to live the rest of my 20s and 30s in fear! I’m trying to find that balance between living in the moment and taking some risks but not taking too many so that I end up having to rely on someone else again if shit hits the fan!

I think your channel kinda reminds me of the wind, it changes constantly and it is defines what life is, you grow, you live, you loose, you love and you smile and you cry, priorities change and you constantly learn maybe in a couple years or (maybe even now) you'll reflect and see it but as a younger adult, I think I see through you that life is constantly a growing process. At 29 I am so glad I decided not to have kids. Most of my friends now are single mothers. I went on a different path. I started my own business. I didnt go to college. I am successful now. The funny thing is, I had many people look down on me, including men I dated, who literally told me I "Wasn't living up to my full potential" because I was still trying to find my path. It may have taken me longer than most who followed the "traditional path", but their version of success wasn't mine. And I'm much happier now because I listened to my gut.
don't let anyone tell you are on the wrong path. We are not here to fulfill people's expectations.

these are really really great! i think a thing you said that could also be a whole point is "you can pick and choose your family". i'm really glad you said that, because i've seen it so much in my own life and in people's lives around me. you don't have to stay with anyone just because they're technically "family". blood isn't everything, people who care about you and make you better and make you feel seen and heard are everything. love this video!

As I progress through my 20s, 22 as of 3 weeks ago, these make more and more sense and I started actually taking advice like in this video more seriously within the past year, and when I tell you I live a completely different life. I am so much healthier, happier, lovelier, and accept me for me in all forms, light and dark, happy and sad, etc. Life will always be in a constant flux, so no use in flailing. That video had a totally unique vibe to it, I don't know exactly what it is - maybe it is the way your voice sounds so serious and grounded because you really have something important you wish to share with the world, maybe it is the vintage looking footage, or maybe it is the fact that this video is obviously overflowing with your own personal experience and values. I love and watch all of your videos, but this one felt like a piece of your soul uploaded on youtube. That's what true artists do. Your way of percieving the world really got across to me, so thank you for this moment of sincerity, it left such a pleasant impression.
