I’ve owned the ESEE Junglas for many years, but never posted a full review until now. Right now it’s $142 without a sheath, however there are plenty of budget alternatives (Kershaw Camp 10, Schrade Leroy, ESEE Expat Machete). Check out the text description box for all the options it the big chopper category. Enjoy :]
@@CorkKNIFE I also have the venom green with orange scales!!! You're only like the 3rd or 4th person I've known of and I love it!!! I also have the classic colored junglas 2!!!

WeAllJuggleKnives What with all the kicking and screaming going on I would say yes. Yes it was. Course like I said it was a coup de grace and all’s well that ends well. 😌😌😌 It was for the best and the 12 years in jail was no prob.
I absolutely love my Junglas..it is the one blade that never comes off my gear bag..I’ve been pairing it with my Bradford Guardian 4 for the past year or 2 but now that I got my S35VN ESEE 3 my Guardian 4 will see a little less use..overall I like my Guardian 4 better than the ESEE 3 but the ESEE 3 is a little more versatile and allows for different grip options without the big finger choil of the Guardian 4
I waited for the S35VN ESEE3 for a while, but was able to pick up the Xancudo in S35VN while I waited. I have come to like the Xancudo so much now that I don't think I want the ESEE3 in S35VN now....maybe I will get a stainless Esee4 instead as it offers a bigger difference. I will say that the Xancudo is such a useful EDC that I love carrying it. Have a great day brothers!
Yep, it's a good 'un, but I'll stick with my Browning Crowell Barker Competition knife,,, (not sure if they're discontinued now),, Great old style video,,, Keep em coming,,, ps, didn't you review it "way back" ???
That's a nice old knife, too! I killed a pallet and bottles with the Junglas but never did a review, I wasn't into bushcraft when I got it years ago but RUclips converted me to the light.
@@WeAllJuggleKnives Sorry, I meant didn't you review the B/C/B... (I've just checked back, all those years, and, yes you did,,, lol,, ) all the best.....
That thing is a behemoth. It clearly isn't for fine work, but appears to be able to handle most any hard work thrown at it. I prefer a full machete for busting brush, the length comes in handy. Also own a Rifleman's hawk. Nice evaluation.
Hi this is junglas 1 .......the 2 is supposed to be easier to handle without fatigue And talking about bk9 ,? How do you compare ? I know about thé sheaths difference but thé blades ? Which one ? I know .....lot of questions 😅 And what about an update for thé 7 blades you ever need ....Please ...please your advices are trustfull and helpfull Ho by thé way ....same thing for flashlights Thanks man .....after all you do what you want but it would be Nice of you 😇😄
Ah yes, the Junglas 2 is a shorter version, but not enough reach for the machete type tasks. I have the BK-9, but I like the grind on the Junglas better for shearing cuts. I'm glad you're finding the videos useful my friend!
WeAllJuggleKnives sorry I was talking bout the 7 budget blades for prepers or anyone This video was one of the most taughtfull video for beginners and an update would be more than welcomed since it dates a bit and a lot of gear emerged since then the way you did it with the alternatives was awesome and that s why « I m begging you « to make an update of this video even with a bit larger budget let say 7 or 8 hundred box even a thousand for 7 tools it isn’t t much Same thing for the différents flashlights keychain edc car throwing etc... Thanks for your time and your useful knowledge
Indeed, I remember that one. I think I can do an update with currently available blades. 2 Folders, one outdoors, one EDC in towns. 1 combat fixed blade, 1-2 smaller fixed blades for those pesky times when combat is not needed :] 1 hatchet and 1 machete depending on terrain. I will put together a new list, as the BK-5 is no longer available.
Great knife, always wanted one, but 200 bucks for 1095? It's just too much. 1095 is mediocre. If it was 3v or something good I would own one. Thanks for another good video my man
If it was 3V this size then it'd be 300 bucks. Don't believe me, just check bark River and their prices on knives this size, and you can get the esee junglas for like 150 and with the sheath it has and the warranty, 150 is a good deal!!!
For the kind of work and abuse these style and type blades are expected to do you want something like 1095, 1075, 5160, etc. I wouldn't see the point in getting a blade like this is some higher end super steel or whatever even though they do make them. Higher end steels in smaller blades not expected to do major chopping and batoning makes more sense.
I also have an ESEE 4 which I like but the blade is a bit thicker than I originally hoped for..I have an Izula too which I do like, but like the ESEE 4,it was a bit thicker than I hoped for..with that being said, the ESEE 3 was more of what I was looking for than the 4 and Izula, with its thinner blade it is much better for slicing, feather sticks and carving

How would you say this compares to the Ka- bar Becker BK9? I definitely like the sheath better on the ESEE junglas.
I'm from Guyana and I'm always going to the jungle to the explorer when I go home this knife is a must I'm going to have to get it.
Excellent! I am sure this will serve you well over there.
About alternatives , why not Ontario RTAK2 ?
This knife was usually in the $200 range... very nice 👍

Hard not to like this knife. Awesome.
It has charisma!
I once performed a coup de grace with a sledgehammer. Kinda bulky but it got the job done.

This or the Case xx for a survival, hiking knife?
I would go with the ESEE, the high carbon steel is preferable to the stainless, for a big chopper.
