The main actors were all cast for character, and not by singing voice. It was by sheer coincidence that they all turned out to be great singers with no need to be dubbed, including Joe Locke as Teen/Toto.
Wanda really had her thinking she was living this life when I'm reality she was the town nut that never left the house. The car set up in the house had me dying lol
I think she did leave the house, she was just in her own little world and would go around acting like she was still in The Hex, the neighbours didn’t seem all that surprised she was outside. I kinda just get the vibe she was like the dementia suffering neighbour everyone looks out for, the crime show thing was just a recent thing according to Herb
@@mrcritical6751 Yeah. When "the Chief" told her to go home, I'm guessing she was literally in his house, which is just next door. Hence why telling her to go home.
@@tonbokarasu2973 yeah, same for when she was with Herb at the start, him saying she doesn’t seem herself was likely because he stumbled upon her wandering around Dottie’s garden talking utter nonsense and was checking up on her
From Westview's perspective, she's the hero who saved them from Wanda and got her mind broken in the process. It's only natural that they would take care of her.
The dead girl is supposed to be a reference to Wanda y’all. The falling of something heavy, the dark fingers, every last copy of the book burned in the library, “body magically appeared”, “lets stick to reality”, read between the lines y’all 😭
That’s not actually Wanda, it’s part of the spell that Agatha is trapped in, the towns people in her fantasy aren’t actually there either. The spell is only on Agatha not the towns people. They actually know she’s in the spell and they’ve been watching her but they don’t know what she’s seeing. There was no body because none of that is real, it’s all Agatha trying to break out of the spell, she’s telling herself from within it that it’s not real. Dottie isn’t there, Mrs. Heart isn’t in the spell, John got it right. Agatha is just wandering around trapped in a spell.
Her being a cop struggling in a tiny town in the middle of nowhere investigating a crime that starts to have creepy supernatural elements would be a big hit. A more serious version of Twin Peaks maybe.
Kathryn Hahn is insanely talented. The MCU has a good track record for casting roles well, but she might honestly be one of the best casting choices they've made in years. She is perfect in this role.
The three of pentacles in traditional tarot literally means "teamwork and collaboration." I love the attention to detail on that. These two episodes were really good. I can't wait for the next one.
The Tarot deck was originally developed as merely a deck of playing cards in Italy in the 15th century. The divination aspect didn't come about until the late 18th century. There's no historical evidence that it was ever used for anything other than playing card games before that time.
The second watch is even better watching the 1st ep knowing that Agatha is walking around talking to her neighbors like a crazy person lol. Like the caution tape, being Herb’s flower hedge is genius.
I liked both but I preferred the first being honest. The tone felt spookier and i loved the mystery, but since she broke out the spell the only mystery left is who the gay guy is and why he can’t tell her who he is. But I find his character pretty annoying so the take away a little. Still looking forward to what happens tho, hoping the show at least teases Wanda resurrecting or something

Funnily enough when Wanda took the witches road in comics Agatha was the one who was dead but Wanda brings her back to life with the power of the road.
I honestly didn’t think this show was gonna be any good because Agatha Harkness doesn’t have that much source material in the comics, but I’m so freaking happy that I was proven wrong! Kathryn Hahn truly has made this character her own, and she’s far more entertaining than she has ever been in the comics.

I just caught while re-watching the first episode that the cop said “she’s really most sincerely” dead, which is a callback to the beginning of the Wizard of Oz when Dorothy crushes the Wicked Witch of the East with her house.
Yeah there was a lot of Wizard of Oz allegories. Agatha and the witches having archetypes similar to Dorthy, Tinman, Scarecrow, and the Lion, Agatha calling the kid “Todo” and “her pet”, and then all standing on the witches road, similar to the yellow brick road.
I kept trying to figure out who the author was alluding too while watching the episode, but couldn't think of anything... it was only while watching this video that I understood...
I just finished watching, and I'm really interested to see where this is going to go! That "DARKH-" moment when Agnes was starting to break out of the spell was cool, and I love that they had the people of Westview back after WandaVision. It feels like it started with that same energy as WandaVision, and now it's building into its own spooky-feeling show, and I'm excited! I noticed a few things in the credits after the second episode like the words to the song and saying to remove your shoes, and the evil queen from Snow White closing the door as she went through like Agatha did, and what looked like the Wizard of Oz characters going on the road. I wonder how many other Easter eggs we'll notice after the rest of the show airs.
I think they were lovers. The lock of hair is Aubrey’s character. There’s a spell that has been used in other media where two lovers make a pact which makes them unable to kill eachother. I think more recently the Fantastic Beasts film between Dumbledore and Grindewald.

The way Kathryn Hahn delivers the “I die before I let you befoul it with your noxious mediocrity.” is just so cuttin 🔪 Also, I don’t know if I am trippin but just for a second in the delivery of that line her dialect does sound a bit Salem-ish. Kinda how Wanda revert back to her Sokovian dialect when she’s in a certain degree of a particular emotion.
I don’t know if *they’re* progressive… Wiccan (Billy/teen) has a boyfriend in the comics too. He’s not gay for tv lol. He’s canonically gay. Just saying 😂
I liked these episodes a lot! I was even pretty enthralled by the credit sequence lol - The vibe of it is just exactly what I want this time of year. Funny, scary, campy, mysterious. Yes. Just yes. Thanks for getting this out so fast, I immediately wanted to talk about it with people and this scratches that itch!
I'm thinking Joe is Wiccan from the comics. Theres some similarities, he's into magic, he is gay, and there's obviously some shenanigans with his identity.
I LOVED IT. Kathryn is PHENOMENAL. The witchy stuff is so cool and omg Disney had a BUTT on screen. 😂 I can’t wait to see more. Imagine one day Agatha meeting Rogue..
He's saying, "Billy *redacted*." The Scarlet Witch succeeded in one respect when bringing her kids back. Always does. Anything more would be spoilers. Agatha is canonically (comics) the godmother to the twins and becomes the Fantastic 4's nanny. She has a heart. It's mostly frozen, but it can and has thawed before.
Just finished watching the second episode a few seconds ago. It's Agatha All Along for sure. Looks like Agatha can't hear anything Wiccan says about himself maybe due to not having her powers or Wanda putting a protection spell on her son if he tries to saying something about himself. The opening sequence with Agnes/Agatha reminded me of the Kate Winslet show but the whole Wiccan/Billy Maximoff identity being hidden from Agatha says if she heard his true identity she would take her revenge on him. In WandaVision young Billy says to Agatha that he loves it here in Westview and that line is played out as he wants to learn from her.
The dead girl can potentially be the dark hold itself, because on the library card it has Agatha's name and then Wanda's and as we all remember Wanda took the dark hold from Agatha.
Wanda stole it "3 years ago" took it with her, then destroyed everything, so the copies on the library were also burned. DS3's ending for her seems to be confirmed. However, I don't trust Marvel when it comes to deaths
37:20 I love how Agatha here came out just for do her show with her new outfit and seems to saying " NOPE ! NOPE-NOPE-NOPE-NOPE-NOOOOPE " after seeing the Wolf 😂
WandaVision was the show that brought me to you guys and your reactions, so just like you said it was full circle to be reacting to Agatha All Along together, it's full circle to me to be seeing your reaction to this show! I've watched so many of your reactions over the last few years since WV came out, and I'm so glad I started watching with your reactions! I felt like this deserved its own comment, so you get two from me today!
There were a lot of Wizard of Oz allegories. Agatha and the witches having archetypes similar to Dorthy, Tinman, Scarecrow, and the Lion, Agatha calling the kid “Todo” and “her pet”, and them all standing on the witches road, similar to the yellow brick road.
Ngl, I‘ve enjoyed the first two episodes a lot…, can‘t wait for the next one. You can tell that the people who worked on WandaVision worked on this as well; it’s quite funny, mysterious and has great practical effects.👍
You know i went back to the last thing wanda said to agatha. "If i ever need you, i know where to find you. Ill be seeing you agatha. " What if we eventually see wanda later on? I know thats not her corpse though, its just something that jogged Agathas memories. But maybe we see wanda again.
Me and my teenage twins absolutely fucking loved the show cannot wait for the next ones. It was a great time reacting to the first two episodes. This is how you do TV.
i 100% believe the teen kid is agathas kid. She cant hear his name, or his backstory. i think she did a spell to not know who he was or where he is and it was not what she thought would happen..... or is billy and is wandas kid and he wants her most of all back
If you didn’t notice there was an anagram on the note in episode 1 where Agatha starts writing DARKH the circled word underneath rearranged is Wundagor
its kina funny that both The Penguin and Agatha all along feature a villain with a less than stellar reputation according to their peers, at one of their lowest points tying to gain power, and along the way they take in a curly haired apprectace who they first encounter while said appentace is trying to steal from them
PS: Yes, Chris Evans has two characters as does Ryan Reynolds that aren't alternatives like Hugh as different versions of "Logan"! There are others! But are they in this series? 🤔
You have to remember the over acting with the crime drama is because she’s not actually a detective. Kinda just playing pretend. Witches like to be scary. Play with your food before you eat it. Feed off the fear and enjoy making a dramatic entrance. At the same time, you wouldn’t just rush in. You might want to take a lap around the house to see if there are any booby traps.
I wonder if "Teen" is working with Rio (Aubrey). The first time we see him is when she is talking to Agnes still in the cop world. But it seems they arrived at about the same time so I bet someone of them knew about the other at least. Almost as if she held a distraction or something.
The hum in Agatha All Along is very similar to the Intro hum in the series "The Secret Circle". Also the bell Agatha strikes is shaped like a Witch's hat.
I think Rio is a red herring for blackheart. The real Blackheart is the teen, he's the reason the ritual works because blackheart is Mephisto's (a hell-lords) son. Which makes him a demon, also his funky queer goth kid cover is exactly Blackhearts MO lol As a kid blackheart is basically the anti chirst and has unlimited power, so that power could be how he could break through wandas chaos magic.
I've been quite excited for this because I loved Wandavision. And ever since Joe Locke got announced for this show I've been very hyped, since I absolutely love him in Heartstopper 😃
They need Mrs heart because they need a green witch, meaning someone with a green thumb that's why it shows her tending her garden when Agatha approaches her.
I wonder if it was lost on me that at one point, while she’s gathering the people for the walk down the road, she picked using a double pigtail hair style. Kind of like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz.
As an avid Vamp Diaries and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina fan, this show is right up my alley thus far. But I'm curious if the average MCU fan who isn't necessarily into these themes will enjoy it.
Just the fact that this show is a hard PG-13 is a win for me. What a show can do it that and with good writing is impeccable. I'm glad it's not all in your face mcu. But just basically a comic book in the universe but to life on its own is great I love this❤
I enjoyed Charmed growing up. I had great expectations with this show. Kathryn Hahn's acting is just so entertaining on both episodes. I hope they keep up the pace up to the Finale.
3:10 "She's really most sincerely dead" is a line from Ding Dong the Witch is Dead, Wizard of Oz. There are so many references to W of O in this. I love how you exclaimed "Wicked!" which is a musical retelling of W of O. I wasn't sure if that was intentional.
Señor scratchy is actually Agatha‘s husband and father of Nicholas scratch her son, and the Salem seven are his children, and the kid I’m pretty sure that’s Wiccan
Aubrey plaza is like my favourite comedic psychotic psychopath ever, such an amazing actress I love love love her. You know Tara reminds me of her alot I mean that as a compliment
Aubrey is so bad ass! LOVE this witch, chola, bad ass! she's born for these roles. and Kathryn being amazing in anything she's in. love this LEZ history between them. Bring it! MOARRRR WITCHESSS and DARKNESS!
Rio and Agatha had an intimate relationship. Agatha leaving Rio has caused a scorned lover effect which is why Rio wants Agatha to suffer. If you go back to the dialogue between the two while Agatha is still under the hex, the subtext is there in Rio's lines every time she is speaking about the real world instead of the false one Agatha is living in.
Awesome Video!!! As a Huge WandaVision Fan, I Loved These First Two Episodes!!! Kathryn Hahn is Perfect as This Character and I'm So Happy She's Finally getting Her Own Story!!! Aubrey Plaza was Great as Rio and Joe Locke was Fantastic as Teen I'm Excited to learn more about who He is. I Loved all The WandaVision references and easter eggs. This Show is Fantastic So Far and I'm So Excited to see What Happens Next!!!
i just got this while watching the reaction but agatha gathering the witches to form a coven reminds me of dorothy meeting the scarecrow, the tinman, and the cowardly lion along the way to emerald city. everyone has their own reasons to meet the wizard/ go down the road. what tipped me off is when she called teen, toto and agatha's pigtails. the references/easter eggs to various witch media have been a delight to see, and i'm pretty sure there will be more in the upcoming episodes! love the reaction! can't wait for more :D
I got the same vibes, too, during the first half of episode 1 when the "detective" guy said that the body was crushed. At first, I was like "huh that's a random way to die," and then they emphasized how Wanda is supposed to be the dead body. So it reminded me of the evil witch in the beginning of the wizard of oz, she gets crushed underneath Dorothy's house. I thought it was just a one-off thing, like a witchy easter egg, but you pointing out the other stuff kinda made sense. Plus, the whole witches road is totally a yellow brick road thing. Interesting how they had to take off their shoes, though. Opposite of Dorothy, who took the witches' shoes before going on her journey, but still a fun theory.

Kinda how Wanda revert back to her Sokovian dialect when she’s in a certain degree of a particular emotion.
loved it! thank you guys for your hard work on getting this out fast!
Hoping this show stays good
Enjoying Joe Lockes character more than I thought I would and his chemistry with Agatha is great 😂
I don’t know if *they’re* progressive… Wiccan (Billy/teen) has a boyfriend in the comics too. He’s not gay for tv lol. He’s canonically gay.
Just saying 😂
Being canonically gay is also relatively progressive for a character created a decade before gay marriage was legalized.
Just finished watching and came to check youtube because y'all are always so quick with these reactions!! Thanks for the great content guys
Enjoyed episode 1 well enough but definitely got more hooked in with episode 2! I love Agatha and Mysterious Teen dynamic and the song was epic.
I'm thinking Joe is Wiccan from the comics. Theres some similarities, he's into magic, he is gay, and there's obviously some shenanigans with his identity.
You are correct. The Subtitles in Spain spoiled it they even had him labeled as "Billy"
it seems almost too obvious so it could also be a misdirect
I seriously think it is. I just thought that it is because of the whole gay thing - gives it away a bit but maybe it’s a red herring
I aint trusting these producers after Evan Peters in Wandavision 💀
These two episodes was pretty good so far! Hopefully the rest of the show could be good also! 👍
Also Billy in the comics is a gay character
Mama wanda is like a Mamma bear protecting her cub
After watching the first 2 episodes I'm starting to think that "Teen" might be Nicholas Scratch....
@@sebro7229 its Billy, someone from Spain I think it was played a trailer with captions on and they evened captioned him as Billy
@@sebro7229 hes definitely billy, the writing is js making us question ourselves which makes me even more happy that joe didnt slip up during press
I think Rio is Mephisto or Blackheart, Mephisto's daughter instead of son.
Agatha was just the nosey neighbor until the dark hold and Wanda were gone. Herb said in the last few days she was acting different .
Dude this series will shut up those who doubted it, I loved this beginning
There were a lot of Wizard of Oz allegories. Agatha and the witches having archetypes similar to Dorthy, Tinman, Scarecrow, and the Lion, Agatha calling the kid “Todo” and “her pet”, and them all standing on the witches road, similar to the yellow brick road.
my sapphic heart squeals any time kathryn and aubrey are on screen together holy fuck
The whole cast is amazing in this show, but I agree that Katheryn Hahn makes it! She’s gold!
Ngl, I‘ve enjoyed the first two episodes a lot…, can‘t wait for the next one.
You can tell that the people who worked on WandaVision worked on this as well; it’s quite funny, mysterious and has great practical effects.👍
"Why'd she speak Spanish?" Uumm... cause she's Puerto Rican LoL
really not getting the fandoms hate for this show, i thought the first 2 episodes were pretty great
The first two episodes were fantastic, which makes is gonna make the misogynistic review bombing all the more frustrating 😕
You're ridiculous
You shills are crazy if you think this show is good. Has nothing to do with being “woke” it just plain sucks.
@@mattmaru9108he only stated facts
@@mattmaru9108 no they're absolutely right. It's gonna happen.
@@ot7biasedmashups it's already happening. Please go rate it 10/10 even if you don't think it's 10/10.
She cant hear his name, or his backstory. i think she did a spell to not know who he was or where he is and it was not what she thought would happen..... or is billy and is wandas kid and he wants her most of all back
It was spoiled over in Spain due to closed captions.. If you wanna know just google it.
Billy maybe or a shade version of him
If you didn’t notice there was an anagram on the note in episode 1 where Agatha starts writing DARKH the circled word underneath rearranged is Wundagor
its kina funny that both The Penguin and Agatha all along feature a villain with a less than stellar reputation according to their peers, at one of their lowest points tying to gain power, and along the way they take in a curly haired apprectace who they first encounter while said appentace is trying to steal from them
PS: Yes, Chris Evans has two characters as does Ryan Reynolds that aren't alternatives like Hugh as different versions of "Logan"!
Just finished the first 2 episodes and I'm honestly intrigued. Let's see how it goes.
The vibes of this show is lowkey nice
Seeing how good he is how much yall like Joe id love to see a reaction to heartstopper he is so good in that
Yessss I feel like they’d appreciate Heartstopper. It’s hard to find straight guys that can really get into it but I think they could.
These episodes were really good! I really liked the Dresden Files similarities that Agatha portrayed as a detective investigating supernatural crimes!
The hum in Agatha All Along is very similar to the Intro hum in the series "The Secret Circle". Also the bell Agatha strikes is shaped like a Witch's hat.
Oh man i was so wrong, this show was so good! Chills when the road opened up!
"she's really most sincerely dead" is the same thing the Corner said to the mayor of Munchkinland about the wicked witch of the east in Wizard of Oz.
I love how Agatha’s house is like the bewitched house outside. Such a good touch.
I wonder if it was lost on me that at one point, while she’s gathering the people for the walk down the road, she picked using a double pigtail hair style. Kind of like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz.
“Familiars” are a witches companion friend…pet 😁
As an avid Vamp Diaries and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina fan, this show is right up my alley thus far. But I'm curious if the average MCU fan who isn't necessarily into these themes will enjoy it.
Just the fact that this show is a hard PG-13 is a win for me. What a show can do it that and with good writing is impeccable. I'm glad it's not all in your face mcu. But just basically a comic book in the universe but to life on its own is great I love this❤
31:34 porcupine quill in Agatha's hair. Modern witches use them as wands.
And evil Doctors use hedgehog quills as power sources.
39:10 Debra Jo Rupp saying she doesn't do drugs in a basement while standing in a circle is 100% a reference to The 70's Show.
"Is it just my guy brain, thinking this is sexy?"
Nah dude, we were all thinking the same. The bi panic was real😂 ngl that was was really freaking hot
I need Aubrey Plaza to stop playing w/ me because "you can take control if you want to" and "horizontal" gave me all the wrong ideas 😂
Telling Patti Lapone that she is pitchy? Lol. Witch, please!
Yeah, I'm guessing these guys don't know who Patti Lupone is. They didn't react to that at all.
I already love this show, so hyped for episode 3, can’t wait for next week
5:08 This opening reminds me of True Blood SO MUCH (I just recently started watching it.)
"I wanna do bad things with you"
Señor scratchy is actually Agatha‘s husband and father of Nicholas scratch her son, and the Salem seven are his children, and the kid I’m pretty sure that’s Wiccan
The butt scene was actually Kathryn Hahns idea. She really put a lot of thought and effort into her role.
those seven witches were genuinely terrifying to me
Aubrey plaza is like my favourite comedic psychotic psychopath ever, such an amazing actress I love love love her. You know Tara reminds me of her alot I mean that as a compliment
Love the early reactions
I was quite buzzed when I watched them, but I remember enjoying them. I’m using your reaction as a refresher.
Aubrey is so bad ass! LOVE this witch, chola, bad ass! she's born for these roles. and Kathryn being amazing in anything she's in. love this LEZ history between them. Bring it! MOARRRR WITCHESSS and DARKNESS!
Agatha and Echo are my two pleasant surprises from Marvel recently
Iove they used the same cast from wandavision kitty from that 70s show is gonna be a blast
I was completely impressed with these two episodes, I hope they continue with this formula because it's very good.💜🖤🔥
i just got this while watching the reaction but agatha gathering the witches to form a coven reminds me of dorothy meeting the scarecrow, the tinman, and the cowardly lion along the way to emerald city. everyone has their own reasons to meet the wizard/ go down the road. what tipped me off is when she called teen, toto and agatha's pigtails. the references/easter eggs to various witch media have been a delight to see, and i'm pretty sure there will be more in the upcoming episodes!
love the reaction! can't wait for more :D
I really like this show lol I’m enjoying it so far and that song is a banger
PLEASE react to Heartstopper! It was Joe Locke's first acting job and he's amazing in that too.
