Agreed. His ability to make 40 year old songs still sound fresh is phenomenal. He adds a whole new level (pardon the pun!) to keep everything sounding interesting even though we've all heard their stuff countless times over the years.
@@andywagstaff8980 it was a long time ago admittedly, I went to a drum clinic with that included Steve White and PG, he really struggled with it. I don't think he was comfortable as a clinician put it that way.
Yes fair enough maybe in a clinic situation but we were talking about the best drummer for Level 42 and having seen the band 40 plus times live Phil remains the best. Don't get me wrong PRB is superb but in my opinion he's sometimes too busy and overplays.
My favorite band!! And one of the best drummers in the universe playing with Mark, Mike, and the rest of 42!
Pete Ray is one of the best things to happen to Level 42, and you can tell Mark King loves playing with him!

Woooooooooooow TAMA the best and best drummers
Does anyone know what headphones he is using? Thank you 😊👍
Great stuff!

Level 42 to come to the US and play some shows please, and thank you :)
By far best drummer this band have ever had
He's in good company with the likes of Gary Husband and Gavin Harrison
@@gregg0731 really, I had no idea GH played with them, wow
Not a chance, Phil Gould was the original and the best!
