Jolion is miles ahead of Corolla Cross. No comparison at all. I know Pakwheels is annoying everyone with their 5 review per week of Haval cars, but Jolion is a really nice SUV and it has 10 year warranty! Toyota will never reach that number in their entire life.
If someone is chasing efficiency Corolla cross or H6 is a better option. If you just want to enjoy the latest features and technology the 1.5 turbo base variant of jillion is a better option as difference in efficiency is not worth the price in my opinion. In city difference is only of 2-3 km/l.

Well, i am not a technical person, but the headlights are very prone to damage.Bumper extensions are going to make it non practical as they can be damaged quite oftenly due to the design flaw.

I would recommend you to buy corolla cross
Due to missing font sensor it will not break on its own , but you can use 360 camera to check distance etc
