Congrats on WR! As a viewer, Dawnguard catagory always looked to be the most excecution heavy run, but now with dead loading and stuff it seems on par with other categories. This statement should not imply that this wasnt impressive
Interesting how you never chose a side. The vampires in the castle didn't fight you, but Serana said she'd stay with the Dawnguard. I wonder what interactions you'd get from either side after all this.
game mostly treats it like you sided with the dawnguard, you’ll still be able to do the dawnguard quests but not the volkihar ones, but the volkihar vampires won’t be aggressive to you
Wouldn't it save a bit of time to order your follower to stay and wait prior to the snow elf boss fight, so they don't die, order them to follow you afterwards and use remote interaction to enter the castle for the final boss to skip the horse tilt?
Not sure how to make that work. After fast traveling to the castle, there isn’t a convenient way to take enough damage to set up a dead load. Even if you make a save near the castle during a ghost tilt while you’re at low health (like I do from the windhelm tanning rack in some other categories) you’d have to wait to get your follower to come to set up remote interaction which would put you back to full health and you’d have the same problem
