Nice, detailed work!! The color used do not look like the RLM 02 used in the real Bf 109E types.

      Hi,
I use Tamiya and MrColor paints. What is your choice?

      You are right.
Basically, all of our hard work is hiding behind the fuselage. But it's fun to build.

I still miss a few details and the execution also needs to be improved, of course. WHAT DID I SAY? No, the cockpit is breathtaking, insane, crazy...

I am sorry but this is not an Emil cockpit - it’s a C or D. I would check what sources you used?

      Hi,
Why do you believe that is not an E cockpit? I used a lot of original and museum pics of E cockpit for this build. Let me know your thoughts.

@@cslvisualstudio Hi, don’t mean to be contentious it’s just that I have the Eduard resin cockpit - and checked with sources seems accurate. I have looked at cockpit drawing and photos of early Bf 109 and that is what your cockpit seems.
As for museums - they are not always accurate- they often use wrong colours and old bits and bobs to fix something up that looks passable

      Hi,
I truly believe that this is not a controversy, we just chit-chat about a hobby that we both like.
I know Eduard's resin cockpit set. Which part that you believe is not matching with mine?
You are 100% right about museums, so we have to be super careful of the info we use. On the other hand, unfortunately, not too many true original sources are left. I have a couple of pics of an E before restoration. I used those photos a lot.

@@cslvisualstudio I think what threw me was the 2 fuel lines - I saw an early version drawing with the fuel lines exposed in the cockpit. I will give you a source if I can remember where I saw it. Of course logically the fuel lines are correct - as 2 lines do branch out from top of 400 litre fuel tank at about that height so who knows?
The flying versions have modern instruments which is fair enough but not helpful for modelling.
What I did note that you got right that Eduard did miss is the manual gear handle chain on the starboard cockpit wall.
And regardless of anything your build is an inspiration - it is true modelling - not just plugging in an expensive resin set.

      Hi,
Thx for your kind words, I'm glad that you like my work.
There is a nice video on YT ( ruclips.net/video/HJHLn4RyBd0/видео.html ) about a Bf 109 E from the Deutsches Museum. Check 12:12, the fuel line is clearly visible. I believe this 109 is as original as it can be. I also have a bunch of original pics, original manuals, blueprints, original part list from the factory, ets... that helped me during the build. Of course, my build is far not perfect and I can make mistakes, but I try my best. Also, I'm always open to discussion to polish my knowledge and make better models.
The full build video of this Bf-109E/4/B is almost done, stay tuned.

The color is too brownish! Use Vallejo air, acrylics for best RLM 02!
