We have decentralised security screening at Changi Airport Terminals 1, 2 and 3. So you go through security screening at each departure gate. In most airports (and also terminal 4 here in Changi Airport), all passengers go through a common screening first. So you may end up having to go to the airport much earlier because the queue will be longer and potentially you might miss your flight because of people queuing for other flights. Yeah it might be more expensive for the airport to operate using the decentralised system but it is better for the passengers.
@@EmmieandPaulno you didn’t. You only went though security once, at the gate specific to your flight. This way, the queue for security can only get as big as the number of people on the same flight as you. Thus decreasing the chance that you might miss your plane because of huge queues at security. I wish every airport did it the way Changi does. I’ve missed planes before getting stuck in a huge queue through security when the staff wouldn’t let me through the fast lane in other airports around the world when transiting. one of the many reasons why we got security at the gates is so that we can better provide a bespoke service for different passengers..eg: china flights we try to have someone that can speak mandarin etc..

I'm a Singaporean. I wonder what's the fuss about an airport. No matter how nice it is, it's not the destination. It's like a bus stop. It's just a stop along the way to a destination. It should not be memorable. If it's something I notice, then there's a problem with the journey. An airport just need to be EFFICIENT and not be a bottleneck.

@@desmondkwang5945 I see your previous reply and think it's amusing you need to edit and list down all your cities like a primary 3 showing off his trophies, it's embarrassing actually. I've also travelled enough to understand how a airport creates the first impression for travellers. And as a Singaporean you don't understand what it takes for Singapore to operate as a hub. As much as you enjoy fleeting memories, there are others who enjoy to take in what they see and not be a bitter person.

@@EmmieandPaul I know Soi Dog for years and saw you were wearing the tee top hence I thought u had volunteered.
Oh cool! Yeah I wish we had more time, our visas were running out so we will definitely go back 😬
There is a joke here, they have stray birds and otters but no stray dogs.
Beautiful Singapore! I am singaporean 🩷❤️💖 SINGAPORE!
We would love to explore more of Singapore 🇸🇬😍🙌🏼
👍👏🙏💖
Welcome too Singapore 🇸🇬
Thankyou ❤️❤️
starlux airline is a new Taiwan airline.... I heard their foods and planes are good..they fly to LAX as well..
Thankyou ! We will have to check them out further!
Changi Airport is a plane above others
Awesome Singapore 🇸🇬
Starlux is from Taiwan, they're got the latest Airbus A330Neo n A350..
Welcome😊💐
Thank you! 😃
Changi is 100 years ahead ...
❤❤❤
It sure is! Absolutely incredible 🤯😍❤️
Do Australian need VISA to visit the Jewel ? 😊
Welcome to Jewel Changi that was an open air car park not long ago.
Wow! Absolutely incredible to think it was a car park once 👏🏽 Thank you for watching 🙏🏼
you can refill your empty bottle once you're through security if i'm not wrong
We did realise this after! Great idea 😄🙌🏼

Starlux flies Galactic South for the winter. 😛
What camera ?
We use the GoPro Hero 8, we also own the Sony ZV-1.. but prefer using the GoPro! 😁
They need to redo the steps and navigation for Changi airport. Whole place looks confusing af, you need a bachelor degree to know what to do and where to go to board the plane and the whole convoluted checkin/documents process.
Singapore authorities digitalise and automates their immigration entry processes yet some tourist find it a hassle and didnt like it. Singapore Government should get a survey done and see how they can further improve the process.
It is so much easier! It makes everything much faster
The SGArrival card is very simple and most importantly it is free! Other countries are charging their digital D/E card (such as Australia and EU (from 2024).
Yes it was great! I didn’t know Australia was charging for it 😭
Oh you dont need to go to level 5 and pay to see the view if the waterfall, you can just go to any other level and access to the rainforest area to take pictures. Come at night too, there will be light show on the waterfall at 8pm 😊
Oh really!? Thanks for letting us know 😁
We would love to come at night, we will definitely be back in Singapore soon 🙏🏼
Welcome to Singapore 🇸🇬 🙏 are u guys first time here. 😅
Yes! We only had a short layover unfortunately 😭 should we come back to Singapore for a few days ? 😬
Come back for as many days as u feel u want to pay for hotel. Food bost is negligible if u eat at hawker centres n there's nature reserves n nice buildings to occupy Ur time. Try d local coffee roasted with butter n sugar. I've only taken Starbucks once.
@@maocat6606 Sounds amazing! We will definitely be coming back 😄 We would love to explore Singapore! Thank you so much for watching & commenting 🙏🏼
Cost of living in Singapore not cheap same as western country.
We definitely got those vibes! I believe it’s one of the most expensive countries to live in in the world ?
International cosmopolitan , London, New York , Tokyo , Singapore
If you buy a car. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. Of course expenisive.
Don't buy a car and live like a local, and you'll be fine. :)
😁😁😁.....we still have rooms to improve 😂😂😂
Have your been to the China air port ?
Not yet! We would love to go 😁🙏🏼
hehe from Beijing Daxing airport
Thank you for watching 😁🙏🏼
We Asians like to see Westerner reactions to Asia, it's cute.

I knew I was close 😆😆😆
Precious your time now as u only has few hrs here. 😂 😅
Yes unfortunately 😭😭
You go T2 take alook..will surprise u too.
We will definitely have to check out T2! 😍
T2 just reopened few weeks ago after undergoing massive refurbishment.
Changi Airport just started its construction of T5, which will be larger than all 3 terminals combined! It should be ready in 10years time 😂
Terminal 4 departure halls are also amazing and clean
Your views really blew up on this one but you barely spent any time in Singapore 😅
The airport is so amazing! We do want to go back to Singapore very soon! 😁🙏🏼
You think Singapore airport is great because you haven't been to Los Angeles airport obviously. We have better immigration process, customs clearance , overall cleanliness and customer satisfaction by far. Visit L.A and see for yourself.
The most expensive part time ministers in the world , highest cist of luving in the world with least population un the world with special priviledge , before buying a car you have to pay S$120,009 to vuy a piece of paper called certificate of entitlement with 10 years validity additional of around S$150,000 for the car itself and nych more "" priviledges "" .
Wow! We did not know about the certificate, that is crazy! 😳
@@EmmieandPaul there are lots more crazy tax profiteering than u could imagine , most singaporeans have been struggling , suffering , stressed in silence , ministers are doing part time once a week on every monday night , 90% of their time are spend on personal family businesses .
What rubbish are you talking about. Don't take things for granted. Our government are doing alot for the country.
@@UserCw76120 ,, it's a true FACT not rubbish as you claimed

I'm a Singaporean. I wonder what's the fuss about an airport. No matter how nice it is, it's not the destination. It's like a bus stop. It's just a stop along the way to a destination. It should not be memorable. If it's something I notice, then there's a problem with the journey. An airport just need to be EFFICIENT and not be a bottleneck.
Obviously you haven't traveled enough to understand how important is an airport.
@@kyeo7077 You talk like a kid - fascinated with airports. I've been through them like they are bus stops. In my 35 years of business/personal travel, I have gone through airports in many cities - MULTIPLE times - New York, LA, SF, Orlando, Washington DC, Vancouver, Minneapolis, Istanbul, Malaga, Barcelona, Berlin, Copenhagen, London, Paris, Amsterdam, Rome, Venice, Milan, Zurich, Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing, Harbin, Changchun, Qingdao, Sanya, Kunming, HK, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Seoul, Johannesburg, Taipei, Osaka, Tokyo, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Cairns, Brisbane, New Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, HochiMinh City, Hanoi, Bangkok, Bali, Jakarta, Phuket, Guam, Manila, Doha, and many more ........ How many have you traveled to?
@@desmondkwang5945 I see your previous reply and think it's amusing you need to edit and list down all your cities like a primary 3 showing off his trophies, it's embarrassing actually. I've also travelled enough to understand how a airport creates the first impression for travellers. And as a Singaporean you don't understand what it takes for Singapore to operate as a hub. As much as you enjoy fleeting memories, there are others who enjoy to take in what they see and not be a bitter person.
LoL...Enough travel to understand? Sounds like you don't travel enough and you probably don't read enough.
@@desmondkwang5945 have fun showing off the countries you visited to the next interested 70yr old senior. you do you!
Welcome to foreign Money Launderer's Country. A 'Dubai' wannabe but cant'be. There's nothing much to see or enjoy in Singapore. Money's worth is places like Dubai, Thailand or Japan.
Singapore never aspired to be like Dubai! Dubai don’t really invest in their people like Singapore do where Singapore have good schools for their kids to get a good education. Our university is ranked in the top 20 in the world.
@@ditsygirl5409 👏🏿👍🏿
Dubai you born there. You enjoy. The foriegn workers will suffer for you
Of course. Money flow into SG. Unless someone complain. OK we got check. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
As a SGrean, I fully concur. Dirty money is instrumental in our high GDPee. 😆
It is nowhere near the best airport in the world. so painfully overrated.
Changi won the “World’s Best Airport 2023” award this year, we really enjoyed it! Thank you for watching & commenting 🙏🏼
You cannot find another Airport around.
If it is merely based on this one video, then of course it is overrated.
If is overrated. Please tell me the world best airport..
@@Sky-8646Jealousy at play. Let say the best airport is in Europe or USA they will said it to be expected. Singapore the best in the world overrated! Must be joking.
